Proactiv® Acne Treatment Reviews
About Proactiv® Acne Treatment
Proactiv is an anti-acne skincare system designed by Rodan & Fields, composed of a three step regime that claims to “stop acne before it starts” and has long been advertised as an effective way to treat chronic acne.
Created by Stanford trained and board certified dermatologists Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields, Proactiv started with just their 3 step system and has branched out into an entire skin care line, including products that address dark spots and acne scars.
The Proactiv 3 step system consists of their Renewing Cleanser, Revitalize Toner, and Repairing Acne Treatment and is designed so that each bottle provides you with one month’s supply of product.
According to the website, the Renewing Cleanser is made with micro-crystal benzoyl peroxide which is intended to start killing acne causing bacteria on contact, while the Revitalize Toner is an alcohol free toner which removes impurities and excess oil without drying out or irritating sensitive skin.
The Repairing Acne Treatment is claimed to be a medicated treatment that goes deep into pores but is gentle on skin and safe for your entire face.
The website offers 3 different Proactiv packages, including the basic package which just includes the 3 step system for $19.95 a month. The Deluxe Package offers the 3 step system plus an oil free moisturizer and SPF for $29.95, and the Teen Package includes the 3 step system and a Deep Cleaning Wash and an Advanced Blemish Treatment.
Proactiv also offers a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee, which says that if you have complaints about their system and wish to discontinue using it, you simply need to return the bottles, even if they are empty, within 60 days of receiving them to get a full refund of the purchase price.

1 ‘Proactiv® Acne Treatment’ Review
I got the Proactiv Deluxe Treatment for my wife a couple of months ago (the one that includes the three main bottles plus the Oil Free Moisture lotion) and she loves it. She applies it every other day at the evening before going to bed and her acne has reduced considerably. But she tells me that the best part of it is the Oil Free Moisture lotion. A lot of people say that the Proactiv treatment dries the skin a lot (especially for us since we live in a very dry area), but with this lotion the skin keeps its natural moisture without appearing greasy or oily. Overall, I would recommend this product to whoever is considering buying it. One thing to have in mind though, is that most of the times the results are not as fast or as miraculous as the ones they show in the TV commercials, and the treatment should be accompanied by avoiding foods that might cause pimples for you.
