PartsGeek.com, the online home of Parts Geek, calls themselves “The Dealer Alternative,” and claims that you can find any brand name auto parts you need on their site at affordable prices.
Online since the year 2002, PartsGeek.com claims that their online catalog contains over ten million different auto parts – often the same brands and same quality that you will find from your auto dealer or local auto parts store – at up to 80% off the retail price.
They promise to offer new parts, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, performance parts, aftermarket parts, and rebuilt discount auto parts, all from legitimate high quality, well trusted manufacturers.
In addition, they claim that – unlike some of their other online competitors – they constantly update their database for accuracy, so that you know if an item is in stock or will require a waiting period before you purchase it, as well as to offer US base customer service, and no sales tax (except in NJ).
They also promise fast shipping, claiming that they work hard to ship most orders the same day they are placed.
To find the part you need, simply enter the year of your vehicle, as well as the make and model, and then choose the category of part you need, anything from windshield wipers and floor mats to more complicated engine parts.
If you have any complaints about the product you receive, PartsGeek.com promises a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee.

they can take your money in 2 seconds but cant return it for over 1 month
I purchased 2 Strut Assembly's paid for Express shipping and they sent the wrong parts. 18 Hours later they required me to provide a picture of the wrong part as proof which was sent. Still haven't heard back. I called customer service 2 times and after being on hold for around 30 minutes each time they hung up on me. Are they doing this on purpose? Shipping wrong parts I'm sure happens but getting it resolved with these guy's is impossible. Customer Service is frustratingly poor.
I ordered a hood from partsgeek. They had it listed in the product description, in parenthesis, that the hood was 'Dolphin Grey' this is the only reason I ordered the part, because it color matched my car. When it arrived the hood is painted with matte black primer. WTF am I supposed to do with that? Garbage website, bait and switch, fuk these guys.
PartsGeeks has always delivered what they say and at the time , parts have been good so via online purchases of auto parts, I use and recommend the Parts Geeks!
Support is friendly but site and parts selection is confusing and they have a poor return policy. It is easy to order the wrong part as a result. I also never received credit for core deposits for 2 struts that I ordered previously.
I ordered control arms for my 98 Chevy 3500, I searched for the item on their site and the ones I ordered showed up as a direct fit. When they arrived the control arms were 4 inches to small width wise and 3 inches too long length wise. Also in 98 Chevy 2500's and 3500's had torsion bars that slide into a hole in the lower control arms, the control arms that I received were set up for springs which were not an option in 98 for the heavy gvwr models.
I called to return the part and spoke with "John" who told me on the phone numerous times that when he went into partsgeek.com and put in my truck information a different part # showed up and that I would have to pay to have them shipped back since it was user error. I had already paid $50+ to have them 2 day shipped despite that fact that it still took a week and a half to arrive so I did not agree with this. I asked to speak with a supervisor. "John" put me on hold and then came back on the phone pretending to be someone else, the "supervisor". When I said you are the exact same person that I was just speaking with the background exploded with laughter and this person hung up on me.
I called back and immediately asked to speak with a supervisor. I was forwarded to "Adam". I started off by telling him what happened on the previous call, I said I don't know what kind of operation you are running over there but that is very unprofessional. Adam replied "You want to know what kind of operation we are running over here? We have been in business for 14 years, ship out over 10,000 parts per year, and have an international customer base. Good day sir" and hung up on me as well!
This company is very unprofessional and is run by a bunch of rude child acting employees. Paid extra for fast shipping arrived slower than ground service from any other company, wrong part delivered, will not back up their mistakes, rude employees across the board. Avoid at all costs
When Parts Geek sent the wrong part. I had to pay the postage both ways, then a 15% restocking fee for their mistake. So my net refund on a $37.98 wrong part was about $7, and they get to sell the part again. So it's actually profitable for them to send wrong parts. The one I got came in a scuffed and obviously pre-opened box, so they may have "sold" it several times, collecting 15% each time.
When I called customer service, the first operator disconnected me right after I said hello. Then, after waiting on hold again for a long time, the second operator referred to the wrong part on the invoice and blandly insisted that I ordered a part for a car I don't own.
This company is, by far, the worst online business I have ever dealt with. Forget the good reviews--if they make a mistake (and from the fine print and their return policies, they must make a lot of mistakes), you will lose most of your money as I did.
