OnlyCoin.com is the website home for Coin, a new product which is intended to simplify, improve, and fit products seamlessly into your life, in this case, all the cards with magnetic strips you carry in your wallet.
The website describes Coin as a connected device that holds and behaves like the cards you already carry, including debit cards, credit cards, gift cards, loyalty cards, and membership cards.
To use Coin, you download their mobile app onto your iOS or Android phone or tablet and then load the information of all the cards of your choice onto this app using pictures and by swiping your coin through a small device that they will provide to you.
Once all your data is uploaded to their application, you can use it to sync with your Coin and manage your cards, with the information of up to eight different cards being held on the Coin at one time, while the app can hold unlimited card information.
The Coin then has a screen which will show the card brand name, your name, the last 4 digits of your card number, and the expiration date of the card. The Coin can be used just like credit and debit cards in card readers and ATM machines.
OnlyCoin.com says their device is priced at $100, but can currently be pre-ordered for a short time for $50. And while you will be charged right away for your order, the Coin won’t actually be available until Summer of 2014.
You can cancel your order all the way until your Coin has actually been inscribed with your identifying information – after your card has been inscribed you cannot cancel or return.
In addition, the Coin is not currently available with a rechargeable battery due to its convenient size, which means that when your battery dies, you must replace your whole Coin with a new one.

Bought one for $50, took almost two YEARS to receive...took forever to load my cards on, never worked ANYWHERE....not once...useless
I love the idea of this card. However, its execution leaves a lot to be desired.
It is supposed to solve the problem of having to carry multiple credit cards. However, due to the fact that it doesn't work at all merchants, now I actually have to carry all my cards PLUS the Coin card in case it doesn't work. I can't get stranded without the ability to pay.
It is supposed to lock and need a tap code to be activated for each use. However, mine says "LOCK" but never really is. I can pull it out of my wallet at any time and unlock it by hitting the button only one time.
It is supposed to be designed so that the card you choose to use cannot be changed by the merchant in case you hand the card over for them to swipe. However, there is no way that I have figured out to "lock" the card onto my specified credit card for a particular purchase.
Coin is not ready for primetime. I want my money back.
I want one but I would like to read some more reviews about it. I understand the Coin card has a non rechargeable/replaceable battery. This could be a BIG problem. Especially if you are a long way from your real cards.
What to do?
I ordered Only Coin as a gift for my son on 12/03/13 on his express wish; and it was charged to my credit card immediately as expected. They had promised to e-mail a receipt, which didn't happen. On 12/8/13 I inquired and the response was they had received a lot e-mail and would respond to each as quickly as "humanly possible." I followed up 12/15/13 after another week, with no response at all. As time goes on with no receipt and no further response this seems to have a very suspicious odor.
