About Noke Bluetooth Padlock

The Noke Bluetooth Padlock describes itself as the world's first Bluetooth padlock, which doesn't need to rely on physical keys or combination numbers to keep your personal items safe and sound.

How Does It Work?

This padlock is able to be opened using the mobile application on your phone and the Noke's Bluetooth capabilities. This means that you never have to worry about losing a physical key to your lock, or forgetting a combination.

However, this lock still allows you to give other people access to your lock when you choose to. For example, if you wanted to allow someone access to a locker or your bike while you were out of town, you could simply send them your permission to access the lock, either one time or for a period of time that you choose using the mobile app.

Finally, if your phone is lost, stolen, or dead, and you need to get access to your lock, you can also program it with a series of "taps" which can automatically unlock the padlock as well.

Mobile Options

The Noke Bluetooth Padlock works with iOS, Android, and Windows smartphones that all have Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

Competitors and Alternatives?

Of course there are many other types of locks, padlocks, and security devices, though - as their website mentions - this is currently the only lock on the market that is unlocked via Bluetooth capability as opposed to physical means like keys and combinations.
