About Nerd Skincare

Nerd Skincare, found online at NerdSkincare.com, is a company that says their goal is to provide people with an acne treatment that eliminates the acne bacteria without damaging skin.

How Does It Work?

According to their website, traditional acne products work to eliminate the bacteria that causes acne, but is often so harsh that it causes a host of other skincare problems in the process. Dry, irritated skin, where the healthy bacteria is killed off along with the bad.

Nerd Skincare wanted to provide their customers with an alternative that doesn’t actually kill every single microorganism on your face. Instead, their ingredients specifically target the acne bacteria by suppressing their growth through the production of short chain fatty acids.

When your skin produces higher numbers of these fatty acids, a natural acne fighting effect occurs which helps your skin heal and eliminate acne without any negative side effects or harsh treatment.

Ingredients and Side Effects

The Nerd Skincare website says that it is important to them to be transparent and open with their customers, which is why they provide a full list of the ingredients included in each of their products. Customers can use these lists to determine whether or not there is an included ingredient to which they have an allergy or a sensitivity, or they will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of the product by researching the included ingredients.

They do say that all of their ingredients are formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, Fragrances, Dyes, Triclosans or Silicones.

Cost/Price Plans

This company sells a variety of products in both bundles or individually. Their Acne Treatment System is priced at $195.00 and is made up of their Clarifying Cleanser, Acne Treatment Lotion, and Nourishing Cream. Purchasing these products individually adds up to $200.00, so ordering these products as a bundle provides a small discount. Customers who are interested in any of their other products will see that prices are clearly posted on their product pages.

Unfortunately they are sold out of their samples at this time, but customers who are interested in ordering a sample before they buy their full sized products can submit their email address to be notified when the samples are back in stock.

Refund Policy

The Nerd Skincare company says that it is important to them that their customers truly love their products, which is why they provide their customers with a 20 Day Money Back Guarantee period during which they can request a full refund. Customers will be responsible for the cost of return shipment and samples are all nonrefundable.

Unfortunately this website does not provide customers with a full explanation of their policy and how to successfully receive their refund. They do direct their customers to their Terms and Condition page for more information, but the T&C page actually directs customers back to the FAQ page to read the Return Policy. Concerned customers will want to contact their Customer Service team for more information.

Customer Service

Everyone’s different, though, so not everyone finds the treatment satisfying. This is why the return policy gives you 30 days to try it out. If it doesn’t work for you, you can return it within this time period with a full refund.

You’ll have to cover the costs of the return shipping. You will have to reach out to them and report your return. You can do this via email ([email protected]), or their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/nerdskincare).

They don’t offer their telephone number on their website or Facebook page.

Online Reviews/Complaints

The reviews speak mostly in favor of the product. Most of the remarks are made about the speed at which the effects are visible. Additionally, the absence if dryness of the skin is quite frequently mentioned.

The most prominent negative feature is the price. As a sulfur-based treatment, it costs quite a bit. This is even more noticeable if we compare it to other similar products.

All in all, the positive impressions significantly outnumber the negative ones. So, even though their lack of phone number might seem like a cause for alarm, you needn’t worry.

If it were a dupe, they would have fallen through a long time ago. They have been featured in the Allure magazine and the like, so it’ a significant confirmation and acknowledgment.

Competitors and Alternatives

Nerd vs Proactiv, the latter has a wide variety of skincare products and that’s their primary advantage. They don’t focus on only one approach to acne removal, so you can pick the product you think will best suit you.

When comparing Nerd vs Curology, Curology has quite an interesting approach. They sell personalized skincare. So, after an interview, you’ll receive a unique set of products aimed at curing your exact problems.

The last alternative is Neutralyze and their only advantage is the price. Otherwise, they aren’t really convincing about the effectiveness of the products.

Generally speaking, notably lower prices are the primary upper hand the competitors to Nerd have.

Where to Buy?

The company’s website is the place to order the products. You’ll have to make an account in order to purchase any of the products, but that’s nothing unusual.

Conclusion

The science and medicine progress as you read this. That is why it would be silly to stick to the old ways in skincare. Nerd Skincare offers formula which is made based on serious science and research.

Its principles are supporting skin’s natural defense mechanisms rather than just wiping it clean of both the good and the bad bacteria. The natural ingredients and way of functioning definitely put it under one of the best choices for problematic skin care.
