About National Concealed Academy
National Concealed Academy, found at NationalCarryAcademy.com, offers an online firearm safety training course and certificate which they sate will help fulfill your educational requirement to receive a concealed carry permit in the state of Virginia.
How Does It Work?
According to NationalCarryAcademy.com, their online course provides customers with the training and documentation of competence with a handgun, which may help qualify you for a Virginia State Resident or Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit.
To be clear, this website is not associated with the State of Virginia, but state that the certificates they issue have been designed to specifically fulfill the requirements of Virginia, which does allow out of state residents to conceal and carry in their state if they have correct permit. The state in which you reside may recognize a Virginia concealed carry permit, which would allow you yo conceal carry in your state.
Once you have gotten your handgun training certification from NationalCarryAcademy.com, you do not legally have a concealed carry permit until you take the certificate to the Virginia State Police and provide them with all other required documentation, state fees, photos, signatures, and applications.
In order to participate in this online training program you must be at least 21 years old, not been deemed insane by the courts in the past five years, not the subject of a restraining order, never convicted of a felony, not convicted of two or more misdemeanors in the past five years, not be addicted to illegal drugs, and never dishonorably discharged from the Armed Forces.
NationalCarryAcademy.com states their course starts at $69, but may be higher depending on your state of residence.
This website is very clear that they do not honor refunds of their fees for any other reason than if a customer is able to prove that they passed the NationalConcealed.com test but were then denied an application specifically due to the nature of the training they were provided. Unfortunately, refunds for any other reasons will not be given.

There are not many reviews specifically for the National Concealed website, but there are many, many different reviews and commentaries available online for websites that are like National Concealed and which offer Virginia conceal and carry permits to people that live throughout the country.
A local Virginia Fox News report details the significant number of out of state permits which have been offered since these companies started taking advantage of the Virginia laws, as well as the many significant concerns voiced by residents and police officers about the safety concerns regarding these websites.
The bottom line is that the goal of these websites is to make it as easy as possible to pass the test for conceal and carry; high quality training is not really their main concern. In addition, this permit test doesn’t help residents of other states carry a weapon in their own home state, so it makes the most sense for out of state customers to focus on their own state’s laws.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many online companies which promise to offer their customers these kinds of preliminary training and permit courses. The National Concealed Academy offer is very similar to US Concealed Online, another website that offers an online educational safety training course for conceal carry permits.

Nothing was like what it was supposed to be. Nothing but a big scam and I should have known better. I will be disputing all 3 of my credit card charges also. I also tried to call the number for refunds and said closed to Covid. Please don't fall into this mess like I have.
During this craziness I thought I needed a right to carry and still do, but not here. I can't believe I did this and it's nothing but a scam. It doesn't tell you it's only for VA, but says its's for 70% of the US. Then the charges begin to come. Way over what they said and even though I didn't go far enough to do the things to receive a certification, their charges began hitting my credit card. I will be disputing all 3 charges that were charged on my card and hopefully I never fall for something like this again. I even believe that I had tried to unsubscribe, but it never happened, since this e mail was just received. Run for the woods and don't mess with these scammers.
This company has spammed me hundreds of times. I have blocked them. I have emailed. I have filed with the BBB. They started up again. But had spammed me in August 2020 and for months before that including 2019. I have threatened to go to my state attorney general. They don’t care. I don’t want their junk emails.
This so called National Concealed Academy won’t stop spamming me. It’s been going on since 2019. I have not been successful at stopping these repeated intrusions. The email address for them is fraudulent and will not go through.
They do not disclose ALL the information about charges BEFORE processing the charge on credit card. I just disputed the charge; they can be removed as merchants if there are enough complaints.
