MyRegistry.com is the online home of MyRegistry, a company that says they give people a way to manage and register for all their favorite on a single registry, regardless of what store the item comes from.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, MyRegistry was designed to help people create a wedding registry, baby registry, or even birthday, graduation, or anniversary “Wish List” all in a single place. All you have to do is install the “Add to MyRegistry” button onto your bookmarks bar, and whenever you see an item from another website that you would like to add to your registry, click the button.
Their website also says that customers can add items to their registry from their mobile phone just by using their mobile application to scan a barcode or by taking a picture and adding the necessary details of where the item can be purchased. MyRegistry also allows people to register for cash gifts when they create a cash gift fund.
Currently MyRegistry can be reached from a desktop computer, as well as on mobile platforms including iOS and Android.
This website is very clear that most of the items which are purchased through this registry will require customers to be redirected back to the original retailer to complete their purchase, and MyRegistry.com does not actually charge their customers any fees for using their service. The only time fees will be charged is when a cash gift is made using a PayPal, and the fee of 2.9% plus $0.30 is intended to cover the cost of processing.
Because not all gifts will be purchased directly from MyRegistry but will instead redirect customers to the original store to purchase, customers will need to first determine if the item they want to return comes from MyRegistry or another retailer. If it comes from another retailer, customers will need to go to that retailer’s website, find their Return Policy, and follow those instructions in order to successfully return their product.
This website is also clear that all the Cash Gift Fund Handling Fees are non-refundable, and this will be made clear to guests during their transaction process so there won’t be any confusion.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 201-886-1000 or by submitting them directly to their website through their Contact Us link.
This company does not appear to have many traditional customer reviews at this time, and the few which are available appear to be somewhat mixed in tone. Most of their customers do appear to be very happy with this service and believe that it is simple and easy to use, however there were some customers who had a few issues.
Some customers said they didn’t believe the company did a good enough job of explaining the monetary fee that was included with the cash gifts and some of their event guests were frustrated with that. In addition, some other users complained that there were times MyRegistry informed them that a gift had been purchased when in fact it hadn’t, and still other customers complained that this website did not always do a good job of syncing in between their registry and the ones hosted at the store websites themselves.
These complaints did appear to be in the minority, however, and since it is free to create a registry, customers are welcome to try this product for themselves.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many different companies that offer customers the ability to create baby registries, including other websites which allow you to compile multiple registries into a single place, including Babylist.com for baby registries and Zola for wedding registries.

1 ‘MyRegistry’ Review
Maybe for the registrant, it makes things easier and convenient (which, when did picking out all of the things you want to be showered with become so taxing), but for the purchaser all I have to say is...
What is the point in this website? It's like they got the first 2 steps to an interesting concept going, but then completely dropped the ball. I did not know how inadequate the site would prove to be, until I actually started purchasing from a friend's baby shower registry. I had perused the registry for weeks, contemplating on what to get. When I finally went to to buy things, I was disappointed to be redirected to the store they were registered at. I thought the whole point in the site was to be able to have multiple registries on one site, where you could purchase on that said site, and then not have to worry about organizing the registry. BUT NO! I thought wrong. After being redirected to the store to make purchases off the REGISTRY you are then responsible to go BACK to myregistry.com and let them know that you made a purchase from the company. ??? Who's working for who here? Where is the service? Complete headache. Lots of back and forth, especially if you are buying multiple items. I don't know the point of it.
