About LifeFuels Smart Water Bottle

With lots of states adopting green initiatives - New York just joined the group of seven other states that banned the use of single-use plastic bags - it only makes sense that you should start thinking about ditching your single-use plastic water bottle.

However, it can be hard to find a bottle that meets your hydration needs. LifeFuels bottles are the exception. The LifeFuels smart water bottle is a high-tech solution that will not only help you stay hydrated, but will let you do it in style, too.

Here’s what you need to know.

How Does it Work?

It markets itself as the “bottle of the future” - but is the LifeFuels smart bottle really all that it’s cracked up to be?

We think so.

This water bottle not only lets you monitor your hydration levels so that you can stay on top of how much water you are drinking, but it also comes with FuelPods that let you change up the way you drink your water. You can add antioxidants, electrolytes, and even multivitamins to your water for a burst of flavor.

If you’ve found that flavor pods have been too intense for you in the past, don’t worry - the intensity of these pods can be changed depending on your preferences. There are lots of flavors available, too, including lemon lime, blackberry acai, and peach.

The LifeFuels bottle comes with an app that shows you how much water you should be consuming each day (you’ll make a profile with your basic information, including your activity level, so it can determine this) along with how much you actually are drinking. Every time you take a drink and the FuelPod dispenses, it will be recorded in the FuelLog on your app.

Plus, it helps reduce environmental waste. By ditching a single-service plastic water bottle, you’ll be able to dramatically reduce the impact that you are having on the planet. Each bottle holds three FuelPods in its base, with each pod holding 30 beverages. You’ll have a whopping 90 beverages in your hand at all times, reading to switch up by touching a button or swiping the app.

If you’re looking at the LifeFuels bottle and thinking that it couldn’t possibly be durable, think again. Despite the fragile appearance of this bottle, it has an anodized aluminum shell that will help it withstand drops and spills. No more cracked bottles! It’s easy to clean and is dishwasher safe (except for the base, which can be cleaned with the brush).

Cost and Price Plans

You will have a couple of options when you purchase the product. The most basic is the bottle plus the starter pack. The bottle, which holds 16.9 fl oz, comes with three FuelPods that can hold 90 beverages. You’ll also get four-day battery life. This comes at the cost of $99. Free shipping is available.

You can also sign up for a subscription that will send you three FuelPods of your choice each month. You can mix and match every month, with a monthly subscription costing $29.

Every order also comes with a charging cable, carrying lanyard, and cleaning brush.

Compeitors and Alternatives

Although smart water bottles seem to be a thing of the future, the reality is that there are multiple companies that now specialize in manufacturing these handy accessories. Three other alternatives to LifeFuels for you to consider include the HBF Unite 3 in 1 Smart Water Bottle, the Hidrate Spark 3 Smart Water Bottle, and the Smart Vacuum Insulated Water Bottle by e-Market.

The HBF Unite water bottle comes with wireless earbuds that are one-touch controlled. This bottle is BPA-free and reusable, with insulation that will let you keep beverages warm or cold for 12 hours. It does not include flavor pods and doesn’t track your water intake, but is less expensive than the LifeFuels bottle.

Another option is the Hidrate Spark 3 Smart Water Bottle. This bottle lets you track your water intake and automatically syncs your progress to a hydration tracker. It comes in several colors and has a unique glowing capability that will remind you when you need to drink more water.

A final choice is the smart water bottle by e-Market. This intelligent water bottle has an LED screen that will let you read the temperature of the liquid inside. It’s perfect for four-seasons use and is only $16, but again, doesn’t have all the capabilities of the LifeFuels bottle.

Online Customer Reviews/Complaints

Lots of people don’t drink the right amount of water because they think it has a boring taste. With the long list of flavor pods available, drinking water no longer has to be boring - and customers love that. Reviews comment on how easy it is to use the subscription service, which lets you shop for new flavors via the app.

The customization features of the bottle are also praised. When you download the app, you will be brought to a page where you can create your own custom beverages and combine different FuelPods depending on your preferences. You can also customize based on the functional benefit you hope to receive - such as taking in more vitamins.

The app is easy to use, and there are how-to videos that you can watch on YouTube as well as in the app. Despite extensive searching, it was impossible to find any complaints about the LifeFuels smart water bottle - perhaps, except, the relatively high price tag.

Customer Service

Although the company has a pretty transparent website where you can find most of the information you need, you can ask any questions or get in touch with customer service by emailing the customer service email address at [email protected] You can also call (833) 543-3383. They also have active social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Where to Buy?

Currently, the item is only available for sale on the company's website as well as on Amazon.

Is It Worth It?

The LifeFuels smart water bottle is the Keurig of the future. With excellent customer service and plenty of flavor options, you’ll be able to feel good about what you are doing for your health - and for the planet - when you purchase one of these water bottles.
