About Knot Out

The Knot Out, found online at GetKnotOut.com, is a new As Seen On TV pet grooming product which is described as being able to completely change your pet’s grooming routine for the better.

How Does It Work?

According to their website, most pet owners realize that their pet requires regular grooming and care, but it takes so much time and effort and is often frustrating, so that pet owners simply don’t do it as often as they should, and unfortunately professional groomers can often be so expensive that many pet owners don’t use their services either.

Knot Out, on the other hand, describes themselves as the “at home pet grooming tool that removes knots with the press of a button.” The secret to the simplicity and ease of their grooming tool are the small, recessed blades which they claim will “instantly eliminate knots.” This makes grooming significantly less painful, and therefore makes grooming easier and faster.

But even though this company says their pet grooming tool relies on recessed blades, they assure their customers that their product is always safe. Even if your pet likes to move around when being groomed, the product has safety teeth which always prevent the blades from coming into contact with skin.

The website promises that their grooming tool is the best way to make sure your pet’s hair is always well groomed and in the best health “without all the pulling, tugging and struggling.”

Cost/Price Plans

The current offer available at their website is a Buy One, Get One offer that includes two Knot Out pet grooming tool for a purchase price of $14.99 plus a $6.99 Processing and Handling fee and a second $4.99 Processing and Handling fee for the second tool, for a total of $26.97. Customers can upgrade to the Deluxe Option for just $5.00 per clipper more, for a total of $36.97. As a bonus gift, customers will also receive their Pet Hair Remover Sponge for free.

Customers ordering from New York, Connecticut, California, and Nevada will be charged sales tax, while a $10.00 surcharge is added to all purchases made from outside of the continental United States.

Customers should be aware that when you do make a purchase at this website that totals more than $20, you will automatically be signed up for a subscription to Redbook magazine. Though you will not be immediately charged for the magazine, some charges may eventually apply. Customers are able to opt out of receiving the magazine if they choose.

Refund Policy

The website says that they believe 100% satisfaction should be guaranteed for their customers, and that if you are dissatisfied with their merchandise for any reason, you are welcome to return their product within 60 days of receiving it, for a refund of your purchase price minus the cost of Shipping and Handling.

In order to initiate a return, you first contact their Customer Service team by phone to get a Return Authorization number and a full set of return instructions.

Reputation

Interestingly enough, it seems as though this product has many, many different negative reviews at this time, but most of these negative reviews are actually published by people who have never purchased this product.

This is extremely frustrating for prospective customers who are looking to read about real and honest customer experiences with a product before they purchase it for themselves, and having negative reviews posted by people who have never used the product before is really unfair to both the product and the prospective customers.

That being said, of the reviews that have been written by real customers, there are many complaints and disappointments mentioned and catalogued, including the inability to change or sharpen the blades of the tool, meaning that it would quickly become ineffective for pets with long or wiry hair, and other customers complained that tool got stuck in their pet’s hair, both of which should be considered by customers who are thinking about purchasing this product.

Competitors and Alternatives?

The pet grooming industry is a large one, and there are many different tools out there in many different budgets, depending on exactly what your personal needs are, the size and hair type of your pet, and any other deciding factor that is important to you.
