About Kiwi Crate is the online home of Kiwi Crate, a monthly subscription service designed for parents and their children who are interested in having access to hands-on activities that “encourage creativity and curiosity.”

How Does It Work?

According KiwiCo, Kiwi Crate was created by parents who had a passion for promoting hands-on activities with their children, but who were frustrated by the time and effort it took to come up with these activities, much less get all the materials they would need for them.

Each month your Kiwi Crate will be filled with all the materials you will need for a new fun activity. The parents that choose the activity work hard to make them “fun, easy, and delightful,” and then they are reviewed by experts and tested by kids.

All crates will be focused on creative learning experiences in the arts and sciences and will come with a monthly copy of “explore!” a magazine that will provide additional stories and playful experiments for your children.

Cost/Price Plans

Customers can subscribe to the Kiwi Crate on a month-to-month basis for $19.95 per month, or they can choose to pay for their subscriptions in advance. If they choose to purchase a three month subscription in advance, the quarterly subscription is $59.85, while a six month subscription is priced at $111.00, and an annual subscription is priced at $203.40.

All subscriptions renew automatically, so if you don't want your subscription to continue you will need to cancel it before your period is up. In addition, if customers are not ready to make a long term commitment, they can purchase a single Kiwi Crate for $25.00.

Refund Policy

In general, companies that provide their customers with monthly subscription boxes are unable to provide their customers with the ability to return their products for a refund because it inhibits their ability to provide high quality products at affordable prices. Because of this, Kiwi Crate is unable to provide their customers with refunds for products they simply weren’t satisfied with.

However, if you open your monthly box and a product is damaged or defective, you should contact their Customer Service team right away so they can address your issue as soon as possible.

Customer Service Contact Info

Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 855-205-FEUD or by submitting them directly to their website through their Support link located at the top of their web page.

The Kiwi Crate appears to get excellent reviews for the quality of the products and projects included in their boxes, and parents seem to really like the box because the activities seem geared toward the engagement of parents and kids alike.

There is a problem, however, that has been detailed in a few reviews that seems to be worth mentioning, and that is the fact that many customers report having problems cancelling their subscriptions. They claim to follow the website’s instructions exactly, and yet their cancellation request is ignored and they continue being charged and the boxes continue coming.

One reviewer said that she spoke with a Customer Service member about this problem, and was told that the support team will be able to respond to their requests faster if they come through Facebook or Twitter than by email, so this is something customers should consider when deciding whether to subscribe to this service.

Competitors and Alternatives?

There are other monthly box subscriptions similar to this one that are being aimed at children, children’s experience, and learning, such as the Bluum Box, and there will certainly be more in the near future for children of all ages and all needs.
