About Kinekt Design
Kinekt Design, found online at KinektDesign.com, describes themselves as a small, family run company whose goal is to "intrigue the world with unique jewelry and product design."
How Does It Work?
According to their website, their jewelry design was inspired by their Gear Ring, a stainless steel ring whose design is centered around using traditional gears in innovative and attractive ways.
They have expanded their selection to recently include the Gear Necklace, which comes in three different length sizes and is similar to the Gear Ring in that it features real moving gears as a prominent design feature.
Their Gear Ring is currently priced at $165, while the Gear Necklace is priced at $185, and the set which includes both pieces is priced at $330. They also currently offer t-shirts for $25 each, and promise that they will regularly be adding new pieces to their collection.
Their website says that they provide a 30 day Return and Refund Policy, starting from the date of purchase. Customers simply need to call Customer Service to get an RMA number, and then download and fill out the return form and include it with your product when you send it back.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who wish to contact Customer Service with questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by email at [email protected] or by traditional mail at 184 S. Livingston Ave, Suite 9-239, Livingston, NJ 07039.

I took a chance buying online based off of pictures and a price I hoped meant quality. Unboxing proved nice packaging and a seemingly well built product. That was 2012 and it still looks and functions like day 1. And the compliments I get keep on coming. Spinning it by thumb while worn on the ring finger grabs attention. Ha. Still fun and so far indestructible.
Not worth the money. My Kinekt ring has broken at least four times and had to be sent back under their "lifetime warranty" that will require you to send $10 to Kinekt as well as cover shipping costs. Andy at Kinekt doesn't care if you have to foot the bill for every warranty claim and they refuse to cover any shipping costs either way. Andy says he doesn't have the capability to create a shipping label. Ring is poorly designed.....and I'm a mechanical engineer for 25 years. Do not buy.
Our ring and necklace are two of the most unique conversation pieces of jewelry we have ever owned, we get so many comments on the look, feel and of course the mechanical workings of each piece. The ease of ordering and the FIRST CLASS customer service is by far the best in the business.
I bought this ring for my fiancé as his engagement ring......”nailed it”! Yeah I ordered the wrong size, but it was completely handled in a timely fashion. It’s rare these days when you are calling customer service, and you are actually talking to one of the owners of the company. They even shared a little background and history of the family owned and operated company. If you want what everybody else is wearing ..........go to the mall. BUT if you want a unique, brilliant, “did you see that bird fly backwards ?” Conversation piece .,........nailed it!
Experience: their website glitches and made my order of size 11 to a size 7. Customer service was not helpful and wouldn’t even acknowledge that their site was to blame just because they had an email they produced that said size 7. No. I had to redo my order because It kept changing my order. I made sure when I finally submitted that It was a size 11. They make you pay shipping and handling for exhchanges even if it’s their fault.
Would never recommend for multiple reasons.
Fun to play with
Horrible customer service (why do business with a company with bad customer service? Dodges the issue and doesn’t actually address what you’re saying)
Have to pay for shipping and handling on exchange/return
Sizes are wrong! I bought this as a gift for a man. But I am a true size 7 and It feels too tight. Other reviewer said he is a size 10.5 and the 11 fit him. So for someone who is a true 11 or 7 there is no good fit because this company doesn’t make half sizes...
The ring is nice, not really worth $165 though. Customer service was obnoxious and danced around my concerns for my exchange and completely ignored or didn't understand what I was trying to say.
