The Inferno Lighter, found online at, is a new brand of electric lighter which describes themselves as “the future of fire starting” since they don’t use a traditional flame. 

How Does It Work?

According to their website, most people are very familiar with the traditional gas lighter, which uses a combination of gas and a spark to produce the same of flame that you would get if you used a match.

The Inferno Lighter does not work this way at all. It is a flameless lighter that uses a continuous electronic spark to ignite things, and the website says that there are many significant benefits to using an electric spark rather than a traditional flame. 

First is that customers will never need to refill this lighter will gas, since it uses a rechargeable battery. In addition, the lighter is nearly impossible to be extinguished in the wind and it is fully waterproof, so customers will be able to use it in almost any weather conditions. 

In addition, the website says that that since this product is rechargeable, customers will never have to waste money on purchasing lighters over and over again, so this product will actually save them money in the long run.

Currently the website says that they are selling this product for $56, which they describe as a 75% discount off their normal price. In addition, this website will provide their customers with significant discounts if they are willing to purchase more than one lighter at a time.  

Refund Policy

The website does say that they welcome their customers to request a refund for their purchase of this product if they are unhappy with what they have received, but all requests will actually be handled on a case-by-case basis. The only restrictions that are in place state that all requests must be made within the first 30 days of the date of purchase, and requests should be made by email and include your full name and address, and the name of the merchandise you ordered. 

Customers that provide any incorrect information in their email request, however, will have their request automatically denied, as will any customer who has previously purchased and returned a product to this website.

Unfortunately, this product doesn’t have very many product reviews from customers at this time, likely because it is still a fairly new product. That being said, there are some concerns about the Inferno Lighter at this time.

The truth is that their website provides very little information for their customers and is currently claiming to be selling this product at 75% off the regular price, when their current price of $56 is still higher than many other similar products available on the market right now.

In addition, this company does not guarantee their customers a refund if they are unhappy with what they’ve received, so customers might be more comfortable purchasing a similar product through another retailer that does offer a beneficial customer Refund Policy.

Customer Service Sucks

My husband bought 3 lighters and chargers in June 2016 and spent nearly $200. For whatever reason my lighter won't charge anymore. Don't know if it's the lighter or the charger. I call Inferno a month ago. They verified his purchase and told me there is a 3 year warranty. I was told we would receive an email with instructions on what to do next. No email. My husband then called them and they told him they would send out a replacement lighter and cord right away. Nothing. He called them again and asked for a tracking number. They told him they would email him one. Guess what. Nothing. He has talked with them again and again and now all they tell him is that the issue has been sent to a manager. Terrible customer service. Company won't back their product. BEWARE and buy it somewhere else!!
