The HyperWalk, found online at HyperWalk.com, is a new kind of motorized outdoor gear that operates like a cross between a skateboard and a Segway and is becoming more popular every day.
How Does It Work?
As mentioned above, the HyperWalk is one of many different devices that based on the “hoverboard,” a fictional toy featured in the popular movie series Back to the Future. Instead of actually hovering above the ground, though, this board balances on two wheels placed on each end of the board.
Many descriptions say that it is closer to a Segway, a popular but expensive motorized device that has a base similar to the HyperWalk but includes a handle that aids people in the controlling of the device.
Since the HyperWalk does not have a handle, the controlling of this device is a lot more subtle. Their website says that when you lean forward the machine will sense your weight distribution changing and move forward. When you lean back the machine will begin moving in reverse.
The website states that this product has a cruising speed of around seven miles per hour and a maximum speed of ten miles per hour. It has a battery life of between nine and twelve miles and a battery charge time of between one and two hours.
At this time it appears that there are three different options of HyperWalk that are available for purchase. The first is the Original HyperWalk, which is currently priced at $749.99. The other two are both priced at $849.99 and come with their own set of upgraded features; the Offroad HyperWalk and the Bluetooth HyperWalk.
Unfortunately this website currently provides no information whatsoever on any applicable Refund or Return Policies for their products. The HyperWalk is sold through a variety of third party retailers which may offer their own Refund or Return Policy, depending on where you purchase it.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by email at [email protected] or by submitting them directly to their website through the Customer Service link.
The HyperWalk appears to have positive reviews not only from customers but also from the magazines, blogs, and online publications that have written about this product.
The one thing that appears to be mentioned more than once is that even though social media depicts almost everyone using this product without any kind of safety gear, the HyperWalk instructions recommend safety gear and many of the third party reviewers stated that learning the subtlety of using this product can be incredibly dangerous.
While learning to use this product, users should expect to fall, and because of this it is highly recommended that helmets and other protective gear be worn, at least until you better understand how to use this product, and even then protective gear should be considered.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There actually are many different kinds of these products available at this time, under a variety of names and produced in different countries. Names of similar products include the iOHawk, the PhunkeeDuck, Hovertrax, and more.

Got mine as promised (actually ahead of schedule) and my son loves it. A Few things that prevent me from give 5 stars. The light covers came off out of the box. Little black tape and some super glue and problem fixed. (shouldn't have had that for the amount I paid). Second, when changing for the first few times, (1 1/2 hours charging) the charging battery got hot. seemed to cool down though after a few charging cycles. Also I wish they had more contact info on there site other than E-mail (even though the responded quickly) sometime when spending $700 I like to talk to someone. Other than that, it is awesome and working great. took my son 13 about 2-3 minutes to get the hang of it.
Ordered a Hyperwalk in October 2015, it is now Dec 2015 and have yet to receive it, but yes they did charge my card for it. Trying to get anyone to respond to the order is next to impossible. If you are going to spend this kind of crazy money on an item purchase it from a site where you can actually talk to someone and where they will actually send you the product you paid for.
The experience has been a nightmare. Order will be disputed with my credit card company so that I never have to deal with the ongoing lies they have told me via e-mail (the only way they communicate). Stay AWAY!
