Frey Laundry Detergent Reviews
About Frey Laundry Detergent
Are you sick of spending money each month on detergent that smells terrible - and doesn’t seem to get your clothes all that clean? Or worse - are you sick of spending money on detergent that is environmentally damaging?
If so, it’s time to consider a detergent that you can actually feel good about. Frey Laundry Detergent is the new product that is really making a difference in the way you do your laundry.
How Does Frey Laundry Detergent Work?
Frey Laundry Detergent was created with the consumer as the focus. While it’s designed specifically for men, it’s made some serious fans out of women, too. It’s turning the cleaning industry on its head and implements fresh ingredients as the core components of its manufacturing. Beyond that, from washing directions to care instructions, nothing is different about doing laundry with Frey Detergent.
Created by two brothers with a passion for serving consumers, Frey Laundry Detergent is made with natural ingredients and offers customers a better way to clean their clothes. While most detergents include harsh chemicals like FBAs, OBAs, surfactants, and phosphates, Frey uses a specialized blend of enzymes and environmentally friendly surfactants. While the traditional chemicals used in laundry detergent make it look like your clothes are getting clean, the reality is that they are doing serious damage to your clothes and the environment.
What’s even better is that this detergent comes in a more convenient bottle. It doesn’t include a traditional messy cap that is hard to measure with. Instead, it has a pump top that is easy to dispense. Six pumps will fill a medium load and eight will fill an extra-large load. The whole line of products is designed to be easy to use no matter what.
Frey Laundry Detergent has an amazing smell that lasts all day long, and with a pump top, you’ll never have to worry about running out or wasting detergent. This lightweight bottle looks great and just one small bottle produces the same results as a mega-sized jug that most laundry detergent companies would prefer to sell you.
What Does Frey Detergent Smell Like?
Simply put - amazing. Frey Laundry Detergent is not like all the other detergents that smell exactly the same, like chemicals. This detergent utilizes no artificial fragrance and is instead inspired by the scents used to create men’s fragrances. As such, this is a phenomenal men’s detergent as well as an excellent one for women, too.
The detergent utilizes over a dozen essential oils and natural fragrances to create a powerful, long lasting scent that you’ll love having on your clothes. It contains oak, which has an austere, strong scent, as well as cedar wood, which give your clothing a fresh, crisp scent. It also has amber and notes of soft leather. The deterrent even includes citrus bergamot, geranium, and minty eucalyptus.
While that sounds like an overwhelming blend, it’s not - this aroma is both powerful and great-smelling. It’s sure to make your clothes smell fresh every time you wash them.
Is Frey Detergent Vegan?
Frey Detergents aren’t only vegan, they are also cruelty-free. They don’t test any of their products on animals. You can rest easy purchasing these products when you know that no animals were harmed in the creation of your detergent.
Cost and Price Plans
There are several products you can choose from when shopping for Frey Laundry Detergent. The classic package starts at $27 and includes a pair of detergent and dryer sheets. This package will provide you with 50 concentrated loads of detergent and 40 dryer sheets, both of which are compatible with HE machines. The detergent comes in two fragrances - cedarwood/oakmoss/amber and sandalwood/bergamot/clove.
You can also purchase both detergent and dryer sheets separately. Dryer sheets cost $12 and detergent is $17.50. The company also manufactures other materials like fabric conditioners, fragrance boosters, lint combs and brushes, universal fresheners, wrinkle releasers, stain removers, and more. The price of these products ranges from $8 to $50. There are free returns and free shipping over $30. Orders usually ship within three to six working days and tracking is available.
Still hesitant about trying Frey? You can get a free sample of their amazing detergent simply by adding it to your cart and providing payment information (but note that your subscription can be cancelled at any time, and doesn’t start until two weeks after you receive the product). In this package, you get a sample of detergent, conditioner, and dryer sheets- and shipping is free!
Competitors and Alternatives
If you’re looking for an alternative to Frey, there are plenty of all-natural detergents on the market that you can try. In your search, give Zum Clean Aromatherapy Laundry Soap, Emma Laundry Soap, and Method Laundry Detergent a try.
Zum Clean Aromatherapy Laundry Soap helps get your clothes clean without the use of chemicals, just like Frey. It combines the scents of eucalyptus and citrus but you can also buy it in other fragrances, like sweet orange and patchouli. You get 32 loads from a 64 ounce bottle. Because it naturally softens fabrics, you also don’t need to use any fabric softener.
Emma Laundry Soap is another alternative. This product has eleven completely recognizable ingredients and provides for a gentle, thorough wash. It gives your clothes a refreshing chamomile scent and is safe for HE machines.
Method Laundry Detergent also comes in sleek packaging, providing a serious advantage over frumpy-looking conventional laundry jugs. Bottles are reusable, and there are sixteen plant-based ingredients in its formula. Unfortunately, it lists “natural fragrances” without actually telling you what those fragrances are, which can be a bit of a turn-off to consumers who want a clear idea of what exactly is in their detergent.
Online Customer Reviews/Complaints
One of the biggest selling points of Frey Laundry Detergent is how eco-friendly it is. With every purchase, Frey donates ten percent of its proceeds to charity. Each purchase you make also plants a tree. Customers also say that Frey does a great job at removing wrinkles and making your clothes smell fresh and clean.
There are some customers who claim that Frey isn’t fantastic at removing harsh stains. There other alternatives that provide marginally better stain removing abilities, but this deficit is to be expected in a natural detergent.
Need to get in touch with someone at Frey? Luckily, this is easy to do. You can send them snail mail at their address in Lewes, DE, or you can email them at [email protected] They also have a contact form on the company’s website. There is no phone number listed on their website, but they do have an active Facebook page that provides customers with regular updates.
Where to Buy?
The easiest way to purchase Frey Laundry Detergent is by visiting the customer’s website. However, this product is also sold by countless online retailers, including Amazon, LuckyVitamin, Fishpond, and more.

They use a $1 cost of samples to a auto subscription!
Then is impossible to cancel the order or subscription.
Just be aware!!!!!!!
I would give zero stars. But not an option.. DO NOT ORDER THEY TAKE TOUR CARD AND CHARGE FOR SUBSCRIPTION YOU DO NOT WANT. The $1 order for a sample is no good. Yeah you get these cute little samples for the cost of a lot of products they later charge you for that you never order.. you have been warned
Sent for a free sample, nowhere does it say theyll charge me $66 for shampoo and body wash, and then they did.
Wacth out!!!!1 do not send for a sample, they will charge you $42!!!!
This company is very deceptive about their sale tactics. You sign up for a sample, and in very tiny display that is easy to overlook it says full package ships in 18 days. So while it’s easy to think you’re giving your credit card for a $1 shipping charge, 18 days later you’ll see a $42 charge show up. I actually like the smell, but to charge that much money automatically from a sample is just bad business.
I figured I would try the sample for $1. I made sure to uncheck the box for auto shipments. Three days after I got my sample my account was charged $43. Supposedly they had shipped me a full size product. I decided to wait for it to arrive so I could return the product for a full refund. I waited for over two weeks. The tracking number they provided did not work. I canceled all future shipments. Today I received an email informing me that they would be sending me another shipment in 2 days and my account would be charged. Once again I went into their website and canceled my subscription as well as canceling the new order. I took an extra step and called my bank to ensure that they didn’t run my card again. Bank of America blocked their company from ever making any charges on my account. I was informed by the phone representative that this has happened to multiple people. So many that Bank of America is going to place a stop payment on any and all purchases run by this company. Such a pathetic way to do business and rip off the people willing to try your product and support your company.
Free sample is not free. They automatically subscribe you. I was charged double for some reason. So they stole $84 from my account. When I told them to cancel the order, they said they couldn’t and that I would just have to send them back. Once I did that they claimed that they did not get the packages. There is no phone number so I fought through an email conversation for over a month before I finally got my refund. Straight up scam and the stuff sucks. My clothes smelt like cologne which was fine, but they weren’t clean. After the second wash they started to smell like mold.
I order a $1 sample from this company and the next thing I know I am being charged over 40 on my credit card for an order I did not place. I don't recall seeing some fine print from the sample where I was signing up monthly, but maybe they snuck it in there. I will stay clear of this company from now on. And honestly, I was not impressed with the detergent at all.
