Freshology.com is a new company that says their philosophy incorporates a “field to fork” approach to the new industry of healthy meal delivery programs by using only the locally sourced, all natural ingredients.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, Freshology was founded in 2005 as a regional food delivery service in Southern California, but is now “a leader in providing healthy meal programs” which are delivered to customers’ homes all throughout the country.
The website says that they have at least four different meal delivery plans depending on your personal goals, whether they are weight loss, adopting a healthier lifestyle, or special dietary needs. Each meal plan will include a full day’s worth of food, including some arrangement of Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, and Dessert, depending on the meal plan you choose.
Regardless of which meal plan you choose, Freshology.com says that all meals will include high quality, natural ingredients which have been locally sourced and then crafted into meals by their team of award winning chefs.
Customers will never be trapped into a long term meal plan either – you must order your meals at least 7 days before you expect them to be delivered, and if you decide to change up your meal plan according to your needs and changing goals, you are welcome to do that whenever you choose. If you decide you love a certain meal plan and would like to simply continue that plan for the foreseeable future, you can tell Freshology.com that you would like to be signed up for automatic renewal.
The Freshology Gold package is their cheapest at $47.95 per day and is designed for healthy living and weight loss, and the Fresh Mommy is the next affordable option at $49.95 and is designed to meet post-natal nutrition needs. The final two options are both priced at $54.95 per day. The Gluten-Free meal package is designed specifically for people who want a gluten free diet, and The Edge is designed to meet accelerated weight loss goals.
Each of these individual plans can be further customized with specialty options, like a vegetarian, pescatarian, or high protein option, depending on the diet itself. The website will provide additional information.
Since this company does not make customers sign up for long term contracts they do not appear to offer a traditional Refund Policy. That being said, if you do receive a meal package that is damaged or that you feel has been otherwise compromised, you should contact their Customer Service team immediately so they can address the issue as quickly as possible.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 877-959-6359 or by two different emails depending on if you have a specific problem, [email protected], or just require some general information, [email protected]
There does not appear to be many reviews of this company and their food from actual customers or users at this time, though it seems to be well established at this point that meal delivery programs can be a very successful means of losing weight for many people.
However, it can also be a very expensive way to lose weight. Their cheapest program costs $47.95 per day, which is much higher than what the average young or middle aged American would spend on food per day. In fact, this daily food cost is roughly what the average middle aged man or woman would normally spend on food for the whole week at the grocery store, according to CheatSheet.com.
Comparatively, Freshology’s meal plan is also on the expensive side when compared to other meal delivery programs, almost of all which are focused on health and weight loss and many of which also promise to include natural, high quality ingredients, though they may not be locally sourced.
