About Fix Me Stick

Ah, computers. We love them, and we hate them. We love them for all of their abilities - they can help us make quick work of paying bills, they allow us to keep in touch with friends and loved ones, and they have created millions of jobs for people all over the world.

Yet when your computer doesn’t work  - because it has a virus, ransomware, or other kinds of issues - it can be a major headache. Dealing with a computer that doesn’t work is frustrating, and often, without a ton of money or computer know-how, it can be a total disaster.

Luckily, there are solutions out there that can help. One of these is the Fix Me Stick, a computer tune-up device that claims to remove viruses and other problems to keep your computer running fast, clean, and safe.

But is it legit - or is it a scam? And more importantly, what does a Fix Me Stick do, exactly?

Here’s what you need to know.

How Does Fix Me Stick Work?

Founded by Corey Velan, a tech-minded entrepreneur who wanted to come up with a virus removal service for his mother, Penny, Fix Me Stick is a popular product with over 1 million customers all over the world. This as-seen-on-tv product offers a ton of benefits.

It offers a ton of benefits. The FixMeStick is designed to be used once a month, allowing you to keep all of your files and other information on your computer totally private. Unlike standard antivirus software that only works when your computer and the system is running, it reboots your computer via the stick. You can remove all kinds of viruses, malware, and ransomware that other popular security programs simply can’t detect.

The device protects your computer from all kinds of malicious software like spyware, trojans, and viruses. It allows for everyday protection and can work while your Windows or Mac is running - or before your system boots. This way, it can remove infections that it will not be detected otherwise. Plus, it can be used in conjunction with the antivirus software you already have.

FixMeStick works on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10. It also works for Macs that are Intel-based from 2006 to 2017. Unfortunately, 2018 and later systems aren’t yet compatible. You should have at least 512 MB of RAM.

It even comes in several colors and alternative versions, including Gold and StartMeStick. The gold FixMeStick removes viruses from PCs and Macs and is just $59.99 - just one single payment for a yearly subscription. The StartMeStick is similar  in that it is a USB stick that plugs into your computer and restores your computer to its fresh, out of the box condition.

How long does it take, you might ask, to get your computer back up and running with FixMeStick? After plugging in the flash drive to your USB port, a scan typically only takes about four hours.  You can’t beat that!

Cost and Price Plans

Ready to shop for a FixMeStick? You can sign up for a 30 day trial for just $9.95. You can also purchase a one-year home program that includes unlimited scans and a license for three PCs for $59.99. A two-year program, which covers five PCs, is $89.99. Shipping for all three options is free.

If you have a Mac computer, purchasing options and prices are the same, including the free shipping option.

Competitors and Alternatives

In the past, alternatives to FixMeStick included a full computer replacement or calling tech support. Replacing a computer would be expensive - likely $300 or more! - while calling a tech not only takes a ton of time, but is also cost-prohibitive.

Modern alternatives include Norton Antivirus, Malwarebytes, and Wincleaner.

When compared vs. Norton, the first thing to know is that although FixMeStick is smaller, offering less brand recognition, it works just as well (better when your computer is not running programs) and is less expensive over time. However, Norton does offer frequent discounts and promotions, which can save you some money.

Next, you should compare FixMeStick vs. Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes is also quite popular, offering brand recognition and easy to find contact information. However like Norton, Malwarebytes doesn’t work as well when your computer isn’t fully booted up.

The final option is Wincleaner. When the two are looked at side by side vs. Wincleaner, the thing to know is that Wincleaner is really only designed to boost your PC speed and protect against identity theft. It’s not as good at getting rid of malware, viruses, and adware.

Online Customer Reviews/Complaints

Customer reviews of Fix Me Stick are positive, with customers claiming that there is “nothing better” and that the it is an “excellent and essential product.” Installation is simple and easy - it most cases, it’s as simple as opening a file on a USB device.

There are few complaints about the FixMeStick, but the biggest one is that it is not a compatible product for cell phones. While there are certainly antivirus solutions available for mobile devices, this is not one of them.

Customer Support

One of the best features of FixMeStick is the customer service each purchase includes. With over 1 million satisfied customers all over the world, there are plenty of customer service representatives to help you out, too. All representatives are located at the head office with no outsourcing, helping customers get answers to their questions and fix their computers.

Note that if you are interested in the 30-day trial program, you can only purchase your FixMeStick from the manufacturer’s online store.

Is Fix Me Stick Worth It?

Don’t wait until it’s too late - when you are staring at the blue screen of death on your computer, that is. By the time your computer crashes, it’s already suffered from so many viruses that you aren’t likely to get it back.

But even if it does, FixMeStick may be able to help.
