Feastly, found online at EatFeastly.com, is a new company whose goal is to create a marketplace where passionate home cooks can connect with adventurous eaters who are looking for an authentic and social dining experience.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, the creator of Feastly was looking for an alternative to the sterile, professional restaurant scene in the city that he lived, so he created a website where passionate home cooks could connect with members of their communities by making and serving their favorite meals in their own home.
People who are interested in hosting a Feastly event can sign up at their website and be contacted by a representative to complete their registration process. Once you've become an official host, you can set your menu and the price per seat to your event, and post it on the website.
Feasters can go on to the website and browse the available meal events in their local community. The locations of the meal, the menu details, and the price will be publically available to help you make your choice.
There is no set price per person that is charged, the prices for meals may range anywhere between ten dollars a person and two hundred dollars a person, depending on the type of food that is being made and the number of people that are attending the event. Some Feastly events are free, which is decision made by the cook.
People are always welcome to cancel their reservation up to 48 hours before the event. Any cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event, and any no-shows, will not have their reservation fees refunded unless it is due to circumstances that are approved by a Feastly representative.
