About EveryPlate Meal Kit
With the rise of services such as Uber Eats and MENU app, getting food delivered is easier than ever. However, the restaurants these companies deliver for are not always the healthiest options. An alternative to fast food delivery which is just as affordable is EveryPlate.
EveryPlate is a meal kit service which sends you recipes and pre-measured ingredients every week. Everything you need to make a quick, healthy and flavorful meal will be delivered right to your door.
EveryPlate’s goal is to offer you everything you need to easily throw together a nutrition meal. Whether you are cooking for only yourself or your family, they have plans available. The chefs at EveryPlate create new recipes every week to change up your daily meals. Every box includes pre-measured ingredients and recipe cards.
These boxes can be shipped to your door for the most convenient access to healthy food possible. EveryPlate saves you time by coming up with healthy meal ideas so you will no longer have to spend time purchasing or preparing ingredients. This way, more time can be spent enjoying the delicious meal you prepared.
The recipes are crafted to include all nutrients needed to have a healthy and balanced diet. EveryPlate will only send you fresh ingredients which will make for the best tasting food.
The recipes are well created by EveryPlate are well thought out. They are crafted to include all nutrients needed for a healthy and balanced diet. EveryPlate will always send you fresh ingredients to make for the best tasting food.
EveryPlate offers two flexible plans, which can be cancelled or skipped at any time. If you are planning to be away or eating out with friends, you can skip a period of time. This way you do not waste fresh ingredients or lose money spent on boxes. Their first plan is meant for two people, offering 3 recipes per week and two servings per recipe.
This meal plan is also perfect if you are cooking only for yourself. With 2 servings of each recipe, you will get 6 meals every week all for you. The second plan meant for four, offering servings for four and 3 recipes per week.
How Does It Work?
EveryPlate Meal Kits make preparing food simple and easy. The ordering is no more difficult than the rest of the process. On the website, there is a simple sign up for either of the two meal plan options. You can view the weekly menu and have an option out of five new recipes every week.
The meals will be delivered right to your doorstep. They deliver to almost everywhere in the United States. To make it even easier, you can specify a specific delivery area and instructions.
EveryPlate’s minimal packing allows the prices to be more affordable. On that note, as food is being shipped, the packaging is important. They use an insulated package so that all of the ingredients will stay fresh, even if you are not home when it is delivered.
The packaged food has been pre-measured. All you have to do is follow the recipe card to prepare the meal which will usually take around thirty minutes.
Cost and Price Plans
EveryPlate is able to offer meal delivery that is cheaper than other alternatives on the market. This is because of their smart packaging and ingredient choices. They use affordable, available ingredients to create creative and high-quality meals.
EveryPlate’s prices are transparent. Rather than blindly paying for the entire box, you pay for your serving. By allowing you to pay for your serving, you know what you are paying for each time. Both of the meal box options cost $4.99/serving with a fee of $8.99 for shipping.
EveryPlate can be contacted easily, 24/7 on their website using a live chat. If you would rather speak to somebody over the phone you can reach them at +1 (973) 210-4915. You can contact EveryPlate using this number during their available hours which are: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.
If you would like to cancel any upcoming boxes, the process is simple. This can be done from your account on their website. Any changes must be made at least five days before the delivery is meant to be sent, otherwise, it will be too late.
EveryPlate receives a pretty high rating from its customers. It is renowned for being one of the most affordable options available on the market. With a cost of only $4.99 per serving, you are paying less per meal than you would for fast food. Even with the added shipping fee of $8.99, it is still a lot cheaper than other competitors.
People find the recipes are extremely easy to follow and that the meals come out as expected every time. As EveryPlate is a newer choice on the market, they do not offer as many meal options as some other competitors. They also do not have organic ingredients. Yet, EveryPlate is for you if you are not picky and are looking for affordable, flavorful and tasty meals for you or your family.
Competitors and Alternatives
EveryPlate Vs Blue Apron
Though the concept of pre-measured meal kits is rather new, many companies hopped on the trend. One of the most popular options available for this service is Blue Apron. Their service is available at https://www.blueapron.com/. Blue Apron has been around for a while and their ads can be seen everywhere.
They offer more diet options and alternatives than most meal kit services, including EveryPlate. These options include weight watchers and a vegetarian option. While there is a variety of option, you will pay more for the box.
Their two serving, three recipe box comes to $59.95 a week which means each serving is $9.99. While Blue Apron is more expensive, it is more accommodating. This is perfect if you have dietary restrictions that limit your eating choices.
While Blue Apron has very different features from EveryPlate, Dinnerly has many similarities. Dinnerly which is available on their website: https://dinnerly.com/, is a great alternative for EveryPlate’s service. Their meal kit is the same price as EveryPlate at $4.99 a serving.
EveryPlate Vs Dinnerly
Dinnerly also offer a few recipes a week to choose from, with less option than Blue Apron. What differs Dinnerly from the EveryPlate is they send six ingredients recipes. This makes for simple, healthy recipes without complicated, unknown products. The delivery days are up to you and similarly to EveryPlate, you can skip weeks whenever you need.
EveryPlate Vs Home Chef
Another competing meal kit option available is Home Chef, available at https://www.homechef.com/. Home Chef allows you to choose your meal plans up to five weeks ahead so you can plan early. With a variety of add on options and meal cooking times, Home Chef gives you plenty of control.
The price is $7.99 per serving which is more expensive than EveryPlate and Dinnerly, more on par with that of Blue Apron. However, if you need lots of choices, Home Chef is a great alternative to EveryPlate.

4 ‘EveryPlate Meal Kit’ Reviews
We absolutely LOVED this service! The meals were delicious, most of them were very easy to prepare and since everything was delivered (except for a few basics like butter, cooking oil, salt and pepper), it cut down on our grocery bill. I loved not having to go to the store and track down the necessary ingredients and we all loved being able to try new meals that I would never have thought to cook on my own. I loved not having to think too much about what to plan for meals, at least not for 3 of the days per week. We did the two servings per meal, three meals a week. Most of the meals provided enough food to feed my husband and myself as well as our two young children (who don't eat very much). My husband is a big eater who will routinely get 2-3 servings of most meals, but most of the Easy Plate meals satisfied him with just the one serving. As our children grow I'm sure we'll need to move up to the 4-serving plan. The ONLY reason we stopped getting deliveries (we put our service on a temporary hold) is because with COVID-19 going on we were having problems with deliveries not coming in a timely manner and the food getting ruined (it is already pretty hot here). This delivery issue is not Every Plate's fault, but is a problem with our local delivery service. Our last package took a WEEK to arrive from the distribution center which is in our same metropolitan area, only about 30 minutes from our house. It was shipped by Every Plate on time but the shipper could not get it delivered for a week (and the shipper accepted full responsibility for the delay). So we decided that until the pandemic settles down and shipping companies can get back to more timely deliveries, we'd better wait on any more food shipments. When I contacted Every Plate about the issue they immediately refunded us for the ruined box and put our account on hold with no hassle whatsoever. We have had nothing but good experiences with Every Plate and will definitely be starting our service back up when the shipper can guarantee timely delivery of our boxes again.
Worse meal kit ever, the portions are so small, for two, than even one person would be left hungry. Shameful small amounts what a rip off.
I belonged to another meal kit service but more often than not I skipped the meals. The reasons were two fold. First it often offered meals that didn’t meet my food preferences. A gourmet I am not. Second, the meals were in transit to me for a number of day. In the hot weather the ice was fully melted on arrival. The meats were usually still cool to the touch but not exactly cold. I received an offer to try the Every Plate service and I have been very pleased. First, it is quite a bit cheaper than the first service. Second, it offers meal options that I enjoy. Third, the box only takes one day to arrive to me and the ice pack inside is frozen solid and the ingredients are very cold which is more reassuring from a spoilage perspective. The packing is also fully recyclable which is important to me. I would highly recommend this service.
AVOID!! I've been trying to work with Every Plate customer service for two days now, with zero success. My first box arrived missing more than half the required produce, and what little produce was included in the box was rotten, necessitating a trip to the grocery store - exactly the opposite of what I'm paying for in a meal kit subscription service. My second box was supposed to arrive yesterday, was delivered to the wrong address apparently, and still has not arrived. Every Plate customer service team can do nothing about this even though UPS has verified that they did indeed deliver it to the wrong location and can't get it back. Every time I request a supervisor, I'm given a variety of excuses as to why I can't speak to one - even being told that they don't have supervisors, which is ridiculous. Service is completely unacceptable.
