Events and Adventures Reviews
About Events and Adventures
Events and Adventures, found online at EventsAndAdventures.com, describes themselves as “a community of dynamic singles” who regularly get together for social events as a fun alternative to online dating.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, many people find it difficult or frustrating to work with traditional online dating, which requires people to sit at home alone and determine whether or not they would “click” with someone with just some basic information.
Events and Adventures, on the other hand, arranges fun and exciting group outings like brunch, cooking classes, dance lessons, wine tasting, volleyball, bowling, paintball, hot air ballooning, and much more, where you can meet people with similar interests and have a common experience to use for conversation and getting to know each other.
In order to become a member, you must be single and over 21 years of age, and submit your contact information and “Home Club” location to their website. This club is available in more than 20 locations in major metropolitan area like Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and others.
You will then be contacted directly by a company representative who will “screen you,” to ensure you are a “fun and interesting single,” as well as provide you with a chance to ask all the questions about the club you might want or need answered before you officially join.
The Events and Adventures website does not publish any pricing information, and the information that can be found in other places online varies fairly widely. Nailing down a specific understanding of all monthly, yearly, and individual event costs when talking to their representative should be an important priority for anyone considering membership of this club.
Again, the Events and Adventures website does not actually provide any information about a Refund Policy, though many, many online reports claim that there are no refunds provided by this company at any time.

It’s almost hard to know where to begin when discussing the serious complaints and issues voiced by previous members of this club. Perhaps the first thing to be discussed is the repeated complaints by many members that the representative of this club misrepresented the demographics of the members. Most reviews stated that there were more women than men at essentially all events that were attended, and that the ages of the members were not as advertised.
The issue with demographics is a minor complaint, however, when compared to the billing issues that people have had with Events and Adventures. First, this club is described as being incredibly expensive, with a general membership fee of a few thousand dollars, plus a monthly fee for access to their events calendar.
But maybe the worst and most troublesome complaint is that members are told they are unable to cancel membership “until they get married.” People who have tried to cancel their membership often find themselves sent to collection, and having long term issues with credit reports and harassing phone calls because of their failure to pay membership fees which they have tried repeatedly to cancel.
Competitors and Alternatives?
The concept of meeting people in a real world, fun, and active event as opposed to a basic online format is actually very popular and there are other companies and websites that offer people this option, including Coffee Meets Bagel, Fitness-Singles.com, and others.

If you’re going to sign up, make note that you’re signing up for a 4 day membership. They will refuse to reimburse you if you need to cancel early. If you love to a town they aren’t located in, they won’t refund your membership. They don’t give a shit about anything but the money. A contract over 4 days is really nothing but a lie. 4 days. That is the max of your contract no matter what you supposedly sign up for.
What a scam, I wish I hadn't joined. I was mislead from the beginning, they only plan events for the evenings when I work and there's never anything I'm interested in on my days off. Way to much money to shell out for a garbage operation. I'm stuck in the contract until November and can't wait to get free of it. Great sales pitch for the gullible like me, they said there would be more events to go to to accommodate every schedule which is a lie. What exactly does all that membership money I pay go for if I have to pay even more to go to an event?
I've wasted a lot of time on the dating apps and dating sites, and really haven't met a lot of quality people. So after I heard the commercial on the radio I decided to give Events and Adventures a shot. I'm so glad I did, there are so many great people who are members of the club, and I probably would not have met them otherwise. And they want to go out and try new things, which is exactly what I was looking for. I've already done kayaking, gone hiking, and experienced a lot of events I probably wouldn't have thought to do. It's been a great experience. I highly recommend it!
