Empowr.com is the online home of Empowr, a new type of social network which says they not only give people a place to socialize, but also a way to earn money just by doing what you would normally do on social media.
How Does It Work?
This website says that they provide people with a unique type of social network that not only gives people a place to meet, interact, and share their thoughts and photos, but also a place to sell their goods or opportunities if they choose.
But the most unique part of their website is that they claim that they pay their members for all the activities they do on their site, whether it’s posting a fun photo or simply sharing a post.
They claim that, though they do charge their members a small fee for advertising, they return 97% of their fees back to their members when they distribute the payments for activities.
It is clear that this company does provide their members with an option to download a mobile application and participate in their network from their phone and their tablet, and they currently have options for iOS and Google Play, but unfortunately it is unclear whether they will expand these in the future.
The website says that it is completely free to sign up for their website and create your own profile, but they are clear that there are many different products, services, and options sold through their website, so customers should expect to find themselves in a position to make purchases regularly.
This website is very clear that any fees or charges made by Empowr should be considered completely non-refundable, and their Terms and Conditions says that even when customers cancel their membership, there will not be any partial refunds given either.

There are some available reviews of this website at this time, and unfortunately they are not very positive unless you are at reading the review of a partner or affiliate website that provides an embedded link for signing up with Empowr, which means that it’s not always the most unbiased review option.
The issue with this company is very clear, and that’s the fact that this company says their website is completely free to use, when that actually isn’t true. Though it is free to sign up and create a profile, whenever customers actually start using their social network to interact with other members and upload the photos and posts that they claim you will be paid for, the truth is that they are charging their users what they call “advertising credits.”
Once you are informed that you have earned money from Empowr, you are asked to provide your PayPal account so they can pay you, but in order to accept your money, you must also agree that you will pay Empowr for the advertising credits you use when being active on their site. In addition, people complain that there is no clear explanation of how or what you are being paid when you are active online, and when you do earn money, it takes nearly three weeks in order to move it from Empowr to your personal account.
The bottom line seems to be that this company is simply taking money from members and paying it out to other members, and along the way they are earning money from “transaction fees.” There really doesn’t seem to be any reason to use this website above and beyond free social networks like Facebook, as you may end up paying more money into the website than you get back.
Competitors and Alternatives?
Due to all the concerns and issues expressed about this particular type of company, customers will want to stick to more established social networks, like Facebook and Twitter, for socializing or even product promotion.
