About Doba.com

Doba is a membership based service that claims to connect everyday people to wholesalers, distributors, and independent craftsmen.  All together they work with around 160 of these types of companies.

Through the Doba interface users can search, organize, and order products using one comprehensive database.  The company itself is not a wholesaler and they do not claim to warehouse any products they act as a broker between Doba members and their drop shippers.

They also allege that they do not make money from product sales but strictly from membership fees, thus passing on the savings to their customers.

Doba is also an eBay certified service provider and they have tools that are integrated with eBay and can allow you to immediately post auctions.  Although this feature costs extra and if you want it you will have to sign up for the higher priced membership.

Overall, Doba's services can be useful to auctioneers and small business retailers.  Keep in mind, they have a massive product inventory and not every one is priced to make a profit, it's still up to you to do the research and make wise business decisions.

Go to a real supplier, stay away from Doba

June23, 2013

Doba is not real drop shipper. They work with the real wholesale distributors, so your profit is eaten up very quickly.

I use worldwidebrands as the other person above did, and I found very good honest companies, but most of them had fairly high prices OR excessive handling fees that made the wholesale prices too high to compete. One company that I had a very good experience with is Albany Distributing. Their wholesale prices are truly wholesale prices and there is no handling fee. They sell mostly electronics but they carry some non-electronics as well. Their website address is www.albanydistributing.com

I would also suggest that you sign up for worldwidebrands.com and find other suppliers as well. It is well worth the $299 membership fee, because that is how I came across Albany.

I Signed on with this company last summer and only a short few weeks later called to cancel. I found their customer service people to be flagrantly rude, discourteous, and dishonet.
I cancelled with them, and after a months time,
they charged $600.00 to my credit card which I
am still fighting for. They are as crooked as the day is long. Stay away from Doba.

Doba staff is very hard to contact to say the least almost impossible. The firm Doba hired to build the webstore has a few very rude people.
We were told for $39.95 that the would build and fill the store with 100 of the hottest products and the price would also include getting us seen on all the search engines. Well the storefront was put up but all other promises were not kept.It took 2 days of calling and getting nowhere and finally going to our bank and filing that we did not get what we paid for to get our money back. Stay away from DOBA and 3xpweb they are bad news.Unless you love being scammed. If you get contacted by Ryan or Michael hang up.

I signed up for Cathy Banks Auction work from home program of which I canceled. On the Auction Web Builder page is a 3 step process for setting up your web site. I did not complete the third step because I did not want DOBA billing me for something I canceled. I just found this out today when I checked my bank account on line. I would say this is dreadful"" if DOBA is willing to do this without first knowing that I completed the process to actually start doing business with them. I was able to get a phone number for them and I called it and it was after hours and no live person took my call. I left them my contact information and I am waiting to hear back from them."

How can they claim not to be wholesale when they advertise wholesale.I give them my personal info just to check there site out for 7Days free!!!!And I get up the next mourning to find out they are already charging my card. Sorry but they are deceiving, misleading and I would like to know why yahoo, E-bay an the likes are not doing any thing especially with all the complaints I'm starting to see.I have not used one single service of theres.I had to give them my info so if I didn't cancel within 7 days free trial they would bill me for my first month membership. IT AINT BEEN 24hrs AND THERE IN MY ACCOUNT TAKING MONEY.AND I'M PISSED!! They got the wrong woman here cause this is not going away. Sorry but i'm angry and in the state of florida this misrepresentation is serious first thing monday I will be speaking with our state attourney general and MR.CHRIST over this matter.

They wanted to charge me $25 for asking a few questions about their company and services because I wasn't interested in their membership. That gave me a clue as how they do business, so I went to worlwidebrands instead!
