Dent Research Reviews
About Dent Research
Harry S. Dent is an economic advisor who is currently running Dent Research, a financial advising and investment company that promises to help people protect themselves in the event of an upcoming economic crash.
How Does It Work?
According to their website and promotional video, Harry S. Dent is a world famous economist best known for predicting some of the world’s most catastrophic economic events, including the Japanese Depression, the “biggest Bull Market run in U.S. History,” and the 2008 credit crisis and stock market crash.
Currently Dent Research is predicting a new financial crisis, one that he describes as “unavoidable,” and which Dent says will claim the retirement dreams of millions of Americans who are not prepared.
The goal of his company is to make sure that members of Dent Research are prepared for the upcoming financial crisis, and not only protect their current savings and investments, but actually take the necessary steps that will allow them to profit from this crisis.
Customers who purchase the Dent Research package will receive a list of bonuses including The Pharma Poised for Explosive Gains, How to Get 10-20 Times Richer in the Coming Great Western Depression, Five Corporate Eldorado's that Will Dominate the New Economic Order, and 12 Steps to Survive and Prosper in the Winter Season Report. This membership also includes a 12 month trial subscription to Boom & Boost, their financial newsletter, as well as monthly insight videos, a full year of the 5 Day Forecast newsletter, and a full year of the Dent Digest.
In order to get this Package, however, you must purchase a full subscription which is priced at $119 per year, or you can purchase just Boom & Bust for $49 per year, or a middle level subscription that includes Boom & Bust and some other free resources for $79 per year.
The website says that customers who are unhappy with what they have received have 45 days from the date of purchase in which to request pro-rated refund of their membership. If, during this time period, you are unhappy with what you have received, you can request a refund of the remainder of your member. Unfortunately they do not publish their Return Policy anywhere; instead they simply make brief a mention of it on their sales page.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints will need to find contact information from their billing information, as this company does not publish their contact information for the public.
Unfortunately it seems as though Dent Research and his newsletter and other products are not likely to really be worth the money or the effort. First, even though Harry S. Dent claims to be a world famous economist that is well known for predicting some of the most important global economic events of the past few decades, the reality is that while he at one time appeared to have a fairly decent reputation, that disappeared after his well-publicized and consistently failed predictions throughout the 2000s.
Since this time, it appears that Dent and Dent Research primarily make their money regularly predicting crashes and economic booms which never come to pass. In fact, CBS MoneyWatch did a profile of Dent where they clarified how his one minor successful prediction in the 90s has fueled a career otherwise defined inherently by failure.
In general Dent Research appears to be just another financial newsletter that is using scare tactics to get customers to subscribe and then uses terrible billing practices to get as much money from their customers as possible, without providing them with a legal Terms & Conditions, a published Refund Policy, or even information to contact Customer Service. Customers should avoid this product and choose another, more reputable option.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many other financial newsletters, books, and advisors on that market. In order to find the product or service that best fits your needs, customers should decide the type of information they are most interested or concerned in before looking for an alternative, and then find a reputable and credible source.

I have tried many times to cancel this hopeless service. (4 times). Never receive any reply to my correspondence. And yet again they have taken another year's subscription from my credit card. Bank says the only way to stop them is to cancel my credit card. A total annoyance. Do not touch with a barge pole.
In October 2018 I subscribed to BOOM
I several times cancelled my subscription but received only acknowledgement that my message was received. Now I discover they have deducted another year's subscription !!!!!. Stay away from them is my advice.
they send me an advertising article with research reports, they say only $ 49 for boom
Couldn't even provide info promised on the first day! One "secret" after another for, of course, more money. Link sent was faulty. If you can't even construct a simple link for intro. materials then you don't deserve my hard earned cash. I put this in the scam category for sure. Couldn't cancel fast enough.
I have found the products that I have purchased have returned in spades much better results than I was receiving with my Financial Advisor, who was charging a modest 1.35% per annum. Dents products are returning me with between 2-8 % per month on a regular basis and would be even higher except for a temporary glich that prevented me from purchasing Options which had phenominal returns.
I cancelled my subscriptions to two of Dent Research's newsletters today because every day I have received a new hype on some secret system that they developed to almost guarantee phenomenal returns. Everything is veiled with statistics about anonymous investors who have made skyrocketing profits from their systems. Over and over these drop into your inbox. More than solid financial information, you receive promotions for high priced products that try to scare you into thinking you will loose everything if you don't jump on the band wagon.
Then today, May 31, 2017, Harry personally predicted that President Trump would either resign or be removed from office before his first year was complete. Once again veiled smoke talk was used which included references to past presidents who were assassinated because they wanted to make changes to the status quo. Of course this was used to promote the biggest crash of all times when Trump fails in office. That was the straw that broke the camel's back to me. I have bought and read most of Harry's books, finding the books written in the 1990's as having some value, but none since. The Dent organization has become all about spin and churning for your dollars. There are many other opportunities in the marketplace for information that is reliable and informative, without the catch of being hyped for dollars every day.
I'm through with Harry S. Dent.
