About Declutter App
The Decluttr App, found online at Decluttr.com, is a mobile application and website that describes themselves as the easiest way to sell your unwanted CDs, DVDs, Games, Blu-Rays, Books, LEGO® and Tech.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, the Decluttr App strives to give people a simple and easy way to sell the stuff they are no longer using.
To begin with, customers have two different ways to get instant pricing for the items they want to sell. You can either manually enter the barcode on your items into their valuation engine or you can download their app and scan the barcodes for the items you would like to sell. If you are selling Lego brand products, they do require that you weigh them and provide that information to them.
Users will need to sell a minimum of $5 worth of items to complete their order. There is a 500 item limit to each order, but members are able to create as many orders as they would like.
Once an order is confirmed, you will be directed to pack all the items you’ve included in your order into a box and then use the free shipping label to send your box to their warehouse.
At this time it appears that Decluttr App is available for both iOS and Android devices and will be free to download on both platforms.
Clearly customers who are using this app and website in order to shop will find a variety of prices depending on which items they are hoping to purchase. Customers who are selling items are able to work with this website free of charge.
Decluttr also has a policy where they promise their customers that whatever your tech items have been valued at online, if they arrive at their warehouse and for whatever reason the company is unable to honor the price they promised you, they will ship them back to you at their own expense.
If customers have used this website to purchase products, Decluttr offers their customers a 14 day refund period, during which time customers are welcome to return their products and request a refund. They do ask that you email their Return Team at [email protected] with your information and your order number so they are aware your return is on its way.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 678-766-1762, by email at [email protected], or by submitting them directly to their website through their Contact Us link.
This website does appear to get positive reviews from the majority of users, but there are some issues that prospective customers will want to consider, mainly the fact that many of their reviewers have mentioned that this company seems to offer pretty low values for the products you are going to sell through their website.
This is not very surprising, as this website is selling generally out of date or older model products, but some customers have argued that they could make more money selling these products on other websites like eBay or Craigslist.
The purpose that Decluttr really serves, however, is to give their customers an efficient way to “declutter” their homes and offices, get rid of items in bulk at one time, and receive a payment without having to think about the items again. It’s simple and efficient and well designed for products you may otherwise just throw in the trash or give to your local thrift store, even if it might not be the best way to get rid of a more expensive, slightly out of date electronic item.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many different services that give people a way to resell their old items depending on what they are, including Half Price Books or Gazelle for technology, as well as websites like Craigslist or Offer Up for those who are trying to sell old furniture or other home items. Customers looking for different mobile or website options to sell their old items will have a variety of choices depending on where they live and what they are hoping to sell.

Horrible experience!!!! I was smart enough to take photos of everything I sent. I sent a PlayStation 2 fat model along with accessories and games. I was smart enough to take photos and a video of the items I sent. I was told the casing was damaged although me and my grandchildren have played on it for years. They offered me $2.00 for it. I declined the offer. When it was sent back to me they sent the console back and it rattles as if a screw is loose...it didn't do that before and I have the video to prove it. Also they failed to send me the power cord back...so I have no way of checking to see if it works. Also they sent me a Wii remote control and a Wii Steering wheel control which does not belong to me...I have no idea who these items belong to!!!! I called this morning and spoke with someone named "Diamond"... and informed her of all of this and she informed me that I would hear from someone by noon. Needless to say I did not. I called back at 1:45 pm and spoke with another person...name unknown and she informed me of the same. When I ask if I could speak with a supervisor to resolve the issue I was told they don't have phones.....WOW!!!!! Did I fail to mention I sent extra items that I expected no money for? I was told that as far as the Wii item I should just recycle them...WOW!!! I am still waiting for my power cord to be returned to me and who know if my system even works although it did when I sent it to them! I am truly disappointed and will never use this service again and will let everyone I know to run and don't look back from this service!!!! In addition I am currently contacting the media to do a story on this foolish company and contacting my attorney to see if I have any recourse in this matter! This company is a sham!!!!!! What a shame! NEVER AGAIN!!!! Send me my power cord back!!!!!!
Thought this was going to be a great deal...but they are scammers! Sent them a perfectly good phone, 100% working order. It was sent in original box, with original charger. They said vibration motor did not work. That is bull. Any co-workers who sit near me could hear it vibrate when I got a call at work!
Plus, they say they send you the money the day after they receive your items. Bull! I tracked the package and it arrived Saturday, it is now Wednesday and there is still no money! (I got an email saying my order arrived on Tuesday, and I got the "revised offer" on Tuesday.)
Steer clear of them! They screwed me out of $40...and they are going to turn around and resell my perfectly good phone for $100!
