ClosetMaid, found online at ClosetMaid.com, is a professional home storage and organization company which says they are the worldwide leader for storage systems for any room of your home.
How Does It Work?
Customers can look through the inventory of products on ClosetMaid.com in many different ways. You can start with example designs for inspiration, or begin looking through the products they offer individually or as part of a design set based on the room you want the storage - bedrooms, kitchens, family rooms, laundry rooms, home offices and garages - and the materials, either wood, laminate, or wire.
Customers can also use their website's tool to design their closet solution, or if you already have a design you are working on you can import it to their website. Once you've determined the products or the design you wish to use, you can either arrange for professional installation by a ClosetMaid team member, or you can find retailers at which to purchase the materials and install them yourself.
Since this website has such a large range of products, in a variety of sizes and materials, and offer choices for professional installation, there is no way to quote a set price range for their products and services. However, the company does insist they can work with a wide range of budgets.
Since this website does not sell the products directly, they do not publish or offer details of a Refund Policy - customers will have to look at the policy of the retailer they choose to work with. Customers who decide to utilize the ClosetMaid installation services and are curious about potential Guarantees should speak to a representative when making installation arrangements.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to speak to their Customer Service team about their questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 800-874-0008, by submitting them directly to their website, or by traditional mail at 650 Southwest 27th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34471-2034.

Competitors and Alternatives?
Depending on your personal needs, some customers may be able to go to traditional home goods stores, like Lowe's and Home Depot, to fulfill their storage and organization needs, while others with larger scale more difficult projects may need to focus on companies that do it all, more similar to ClosetMaid.

1 ‘ClosetMaid’ Review
Four months ago I purchased a Real Simple 8-cube shelving unit from BB&B and we discovered while putting it together that Part J is defective: the holes are off-center and thus the piece doesn't fit together with the rest of the unit. It was the last one in stock at the Bed, Bath & Beyond so I could not exchange it. Also, it was 85% put together already with the glue and screws and all the non-defective pieces since the holes being offset was not noticeable until we tried to put the piece in place.
I provided their online customer service with the model # (04088), color (Expresso), UPC # (4444489283), manual number (01-81964 10/12), dimensions (24.2"w x 11.7"d x 50.2"h), other info ("Made exclusively for Bed Bath & Beyond; Production date 06/2013"), and relevant photos.
The rep then informed me that they were unable to pull up its installation manual so they asked me send photos of the manual showing Part J. I sent three.
After two days of email correspondence, I get the following message: "...We regret to inform you that this item is now currently out of stock. But rest assured, once it is available, we will process and send you replacement for the part J of this organizer." I replied, "...[W]hen you say that it's "out of stock," does that mean that new parts are being made as we correspond and there will be a replacement part in the mail to me in the near future? OR does it mean that you don't know if the part is still being made and I may or may not have this half-built shelving unit sitting around collecting dust for a very looooooonnnnnnnggg time? It would be helpful to have a more specific answer as I want to USE this unit and not just admire it. Thanks for following up on this."
Six days later I get a response: "We understand that it is frustrating that you cannot finish assembling your organizer because one of the part is non conforming. We apologize if we haven’t sent you a response immediately on your previous email. We have forwarded your concern to our proper department as to when the item will be available in order for us to proceed for your replacement request. Rest assured once we receive a feedback or response from our proper department we will send you an email in order for you to be updated. We apologize for the inconvenience. Your Reference No. 138390."
And I have not heard from them since.
I like the shelving unit and it fits perfectly where I need it--which is why I just didn't return it--but am very disappointed with the faulty workmanship and the lousy customer service. It should not be so hard to get a replacement part for a unit that was produced only a year prior!
