Brave New Look Reviews
About Brave New Look
It can be tough to find low-cost apparel, especially if you’re doing your best to stay at home and avoid going out to the stores.
Trying to find unique, handcrafted apparel is even more of a challenge, particularly if you don’t want to break the bank!
Brave New Look is a lifestyle and apparel brand that feels that nobody should ever have to hide who they truly are. This company makes all kinds of accessories and clothing to help you show your true colors - even if you have to wear a face mask at all times (thanks, COVID-19!).
But is Brave New Look legit - and is it even worth your time? Here’s what you need to know.
How Does it Work?
Brave New Look is founded on the principle that what you wear and own helps you make a statement - a statement that you can then broadcast to the rest of the world.
Does your look measure up? The company sells all kinds of threads and gear, including jewelry, athleisure (like leggings, fitness shorts, and sports bras) and even face masks - something you definitely need in this day and age.
While some of the apparel is funky and fun - like the quirky charm bracelets and uniquely patterned leggings - some is more serious. The company also sells scrubs, including scrub tops and bottoms. You Can even get personalized gear, like handcrafted necklaces with your name on them.
When you order from Brave New Look, you are buying from an online pop-up store that produces all designs on demand. Everything is printed and made by hand, so while it takes longer to get to your doorstep, you can rest assured that no two items are alike. Because this store doesn’t deal with other retailers, there are no mark-up fees or middlemen to deal with - ultimately, this saves you money.
Cost and Price Plans
Brave New Look’s apparel and jewelry costs vary depending on what exactly you purchase. The company has several bundle and promotional savings programs available. For example, if you buy two jewelry items, you can get the third free. Buy three, and you can get two free. Buy five, and you can get an additional five free. The average charm bracelet by Brave New Look is $29.
Similar discounts are available for athleisure. Buy any three pieces and you’ll get 20% off automatically. You can also use special promo codes on your order (usually applicable if you spend more than $100) to get 15, 17, and 20% of your order.
Competitors and Alternatives
Brave New Look isn’t the only online shop that specializes in customized goods. You can also shop with Etsy, I Heart Fink, and Milk Handmade.
Etsy is perhaps the best-known out of these three alternatives. You can find just about anything your heart desires on this website, including customized clothing, jewelry, home decor, and more.
I Heart Fink is another online handmade clothing boutique that offers’ customized women’s clothing along with accessories, home decor, and art. You’ll pay a bit more here - the average shirt is more than $200.
Milk Handmade offers similarly priced clothing. This clothing line is made in Chicago and combines “elevated basics with bold statement pieces.”
Online Customer Reviews/Complaints
Look on the Brave New Look website, and you’ll find all kinds of jewelry reviews, including many positive bracelets reviews. Here, customers praise the stylish and customized nature of the clothing and attest to its durability and quality.
Unfortunately, if you look elsewhere, the company does not have the same kind of reputation. Brave New Look has an F rating with the BBB, with jewelry and face mask reviews alike complaining about the company's poor shipping policies and times. While few customers complain about the quality of the products, many are not happy with Brave New Look’s customer service.
One of the biggest complaints about Brave New Look is the company’s unforgiving return policy. Because all orders are custom-made, you cannot cancel your order or return it for any reason. You can get a replacement for free if you are disappointed with your order, though. All you need to do is email [email protected]
If you are wondering, “where is Brave New Look located?” don’t worry - you can find the company’s address on its website. They’re located in the heart of San Francisco, which is where all of their designs are manufactured and produced. The company can easily be reached by calling at the customer service phone number, +1 (415) 404-6469. This contact number is accessible Monday through Sunday from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm.
Shipping times are a bit lengthy - expect to wait a few weeks to see your package. Production times can range from two to nine business days, with all orders shipped via USPS (which generally takes another three or four days to reach most destinations).
Where to Buy?
You can shop all of thei designs by visiting the company’s website.
Is It Worth It?
That depends. While Brave New Look offers a variety of one-of-a-kind pieces and styles to help you fill your closet and jewelry box, it can take a long time to get your order. Once you get your order, hopefully, you’re satisfied with it - because it’s going to be difficult for you to get in touch with customer service if you aren’t.
If you have a bit of extra time and money on your hands, Brave New Look could be worth the time - but be mindful of the fact that returns are not allowed.
10 ‘Brave New Look’ Reviews
This company is not to be trusted. I have been waiting for my order for over two months. After the first month I emailed them inquiring about my package. I got back an automated email stating they were overwhelmed and behind on orders. Understandable. A couple days later I recieved an email with a tracking number. The package never left their facility and later the tracking number would come back with an error. After many emails asking for a refund I finally got an email from an actual person. This did not help though. They refuse to give me a refund no matter how many times I ask. They claim they have resubmitted my order and it should be going out soon despite my many requests for a refund. This seems to be their typical way of doing business. Upon researching brave new look I found hundreds of people who either never got their order or got damaged goods and were refused a refund. Do not order from this company.
Do not order from this company Brave New Look. Their products are horrible and not as pictured and definitely not made to order. I do not know these products come from. It took over a month and half to receive my order and that was only after I contacted with no response so then I had my credit card company contact them, and it wasn’t until then that I received a response.
Ordered 4 masks and received only 2 after a long wait. When questioned about the remaining 2, they promised to send the remainder pleading huge volume of order and hence the backlog. After 6 weeks, I have still not received them. I have purchased other masks but I must admit their masks is superior for both comfort and fitting.Still patiently awaiting!
Contacted them many, many times via email. Same "form" email received each time.
The number above does not work ( 1 (415) 404-6469). Immediately get a message "your call did not go through". Have stopped payment with my credit card company.
EVERY time I email them, I get the same "form" email...but no order.
I tried immediately to contact them and cancel the order but no way to call. The number 1 (415) 404-6469 listed above goes IMMEDIATELY to "your call did not go through".
DO NOT ORDER from this company.
I stopped payment immediately with my credit card company.
We finally got our mask after a long wait....And boy is it JUNK..
IT CAME UNSTITCHED WHILE TRYING TO INSERT THE FILTER.
On May 22, 2020, I placed an order at www.bravenewlook.com for masks and filters for $132.64. The order's confirmation email stated that "Due to high demand, our face masks products may ship in 1-2 weeks, which is when we will be sending your tracking number". They charged my credit card right away. I contacted them after three weeks. They responded that they would expedite the shipping for free. I requested a tracking number. No answer. I emailed them one week later, and they didn't reply. I sent them an email canceling my order and requesting a refund. This company has a history of deceiving customers as per online reviews and the Better Business Bureau's complaints.
I guess I'm used to Amazon. Order your stuff, and it's here in a couple days--or less!!
I ordered just one mask over a month ago. I got some vague email confirming my order. The email said deliveries usually arrive in 3-4 weeks.
Well it's OVER 4 weeks, where's my stuff! I contacted the Better Business Bureau website. It says there's only ONE EMPLOYEE.
Sounds like they don't have an inventory of items, they just make your order AFTER you order it. Who does that?
Should have realized it's just some scam!!
