Learn from my mistake.

I switched to BM 40 days ago. All was well until my parents asked that I get my voice mail set up. I tried the two apps that BM gave me and neither worked. I started calling and find out that I can't get a voice mail.

At this point, I can only blame myself as I should have asked before I switched. Mint Mobile offers voice mail so I did my due diligence to find out what I had to do to port my number. The only way to get your BM acct number is to call so I did.

One rep said he could not give it to me. I call back and I'm ask why I want that information. I was stunned. I ask why most people want their account number. He didn't know so I said I didn't know either but said it's MY account and I have a right to know that number since I'm paying for it. I got the acct number and the port pin. It has been seven days and my number has still not been ported.

Multiple calls for the first six nights was that they were working on it. Day 7, I'm told they are waiting on Mint Mobile. I call Mint Mobile and they do a 3-way call to BM. The BM rep said my number did not exist. He provided us an 800 number. That number would not go through. The Mint rep attempts another number and we are told that there has been a security breech, computers are down, etc. I ask 3 times why it has taken 7 days to do a port.

Again, BM says the computers are down. Okay, so that's now and what about for the past 7 days? They don't know. Why was BM able to access my account 45 minutes earlier. They don't know. I don't either.

It's troubling that BM doesn't have voice mail service, their apps don't work and neither do their reps, I guess. I don't know why a computer break down today would affect a port 6 days earlier and for that, I really need a good excuse. I'd kinda like to know why I wasn't offered a discount too in light of the above but I'm guessing it's because I didn't do my homework and discover that this is BM's modus operandi. Next time, I'll be sure to read the reviews first. I gotta go have a BM.
