About Bamboo Tours
Bamboo Tours, found online at WeAreBamboo.com, is a new travel and tourism company that is built on more than 40 years of combined experience in international travel and global volunteering.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, the three founders of Bamboo Tours established their company based on the belief that it is essential to traveling in developing countries for travelers to actually give back to the communities they visit. This belief – combined with having as much fun as possible – is the priority of all Bamboo tours.
All tours available on this website are designed around having a positive impact and leaving a legacy behind for the way that communities and travelers interact together. They want their tours to be as much a cultural experience as a vacation.
Customers who are interested in booking a tour through their company can either search their Tours by the country to which the tour will go, including Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, India, Vietnam, and Costa Rica, or searching Volunteering by Program.
Customers who are looking for tours through this website and company will see that they are priced different depending on the country you are traveling to, the length of time you will be there, and the types of services and activities which are included in the tour.
Their website does require a $250 deposit at the time you book your tour, and the final balance for your trip will be due on the first of the month two months before the month of your trip’s start date. This means that if your trip begins in the month of May, your final balance will be due on or before May 1st.
Customers who book their trip less than two months before their trip date will need to pay the full balance at the time of booking.
Their website says that the $250 trip deposit is non-refundable but is considered fully transferable until your final balance is due.
Customers are welcome to cancel their booking at any time by contacting Bamboo Tours in writing. If you cancel before your final balance is due you will lose your deposit but not be required to pay any further fees. If you cancel after the first of the month, two months before the start of your program month you will be responsible for 100% of the cost of your travel arrangements.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by submitting them directly to their website through their Contact Us link and then by choosing either Say Hello or Request a Call Back.
This company appears to have a very positive reputation at this time and many of their travelers report being happy with the easiness of preparing a trip through this company and the experiences they have once they are traveling.
Competitors and Alternatives?
This company is specializing in responsible tourism, and there are many other companies and organizations that promise their customers they take this very same approach to travel arrangements, so customers who can’t find exactly what they are looking for here should be able to find other companies they can work with.
