Autopom, found online at Extended-Vehicle-Warranty.com, says that they provide their customers with a high quality Vehicle Protection Plan, or VPP, which offers much more than a regular extended auto warranty.
How Does It Work?
Most car owners are aware of warranties and extended warranties, as options are generally offered to you at the time you purchase your new or used vehicle, though customers don’t always take them at that time.
According to their website, a Vehicle Protection Plan is similar to an extended car warranty, as it is accepted by licensed repair facilities across the country when various mechanical problems or issues take place with your vehicle.
However, the Autopom option doesn’t end with repairs to your car’s major mechanical systems, instead choosing to go beyond repairs and also include 24 hour roadside service, towing services, trip interruption reimbursement, and rental car assistance.
Currently, this company does not openly publish their list of pricing information, instead saying that they prefer their customers to contact them directly in order to get a free quote of what the Autopom Vehicle Protection Plan will cost them.
The website doe say, however, that customers can put their coverage in place with as little as 5% down and the option to pay the balance over 18 to 24 monthly payments. They say that payments can be as low as $99 for an economy/mid-range car with low mileage ranging up to $200 or more per month for high-end, high performance luxury vehicle. Unfortunately this company does not cover “exotic models” like Lamborghini, Bentley, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, etc, at this time.
This company does say that their customers are welcome to take advantage of a 30 day money back guarantee. Customers who are dissatisfied with their purchase within the first 30 days of purchase are welcome to cancel their enrollment and receive a full refund of the money they have paid so far. They also say that customers who cancel after the first 30 days of purchase may still be eligible for a partial refund, depending on how long it has been and why they have decided to cancel.

Unfortunately it appears that this company simply doesn’t have that many customer reviews available, and those that are available seem to all be from websites that are partnered with Autopom in some way, making it difficult for prospective customers to know whether or these reviews are biased in any way.
In general extended warranties for automobiles are fairly controversial, with Consumer Reports saying that market wisdom says to not buy a warranty at all, because most people will never use them and those that do likely would have paid much less for the repair out of pocket than they did for their warranty.
That being said, if you have ever required a major car repair, having a warranty that you can pay for month-to-month is often much easier to handle than a huge expense at one time. The Consumer Reports article does include a checklist of what to look for if you do decide to purchase a warranty.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are other extended warranty companies out there, of course, so if you decide that a car warranty is the right choice for you but you are hoping to find something other than Autopom or Toco Auto Warranty, you should be able to find a licensed company in your state of residence fairly easily.
If you have any experience with this company or their products, please leave your Autopom reviews below.
1 ‘Autopom’ Review
I have an auto warranty plan from Autopom. As listed as being covered is the AC Compressor. My Mini Cooper's AC went out and my mechanic said I needed a new compressor. Autopom sent an adjuster to verify and said the problem with the AC is a bad compressor clutch. My mechanic said the clutch is part of the compressor, literally, it's welded into the unit. The clutch is not removable, or purchasable as a separate item. To replace the compressor clutch means replacing the compressor. For a second opinion I contacted Mini Cooper authorized service and they confirmed what my mechanic told me. Autopom is denying coverage.
