About Aura Frames

Picture this - you just got back from your honeymoon and - surprise! Your photos have arrived. You flip through the thousands of beautiful photographs of your special day, and discover that it’s going to be next to impossible to pick which ones to put on display in your home.

You only have so much space, and having too many frames on your wall can make your home look cluttered. But how can you possibly choose?

With Aura Frames, you don’t need to. You’ll enjoy the best-in-class photo printing with some of the world’s most beautiful digital frames. Here’s what you need to know about the Aura Wifi Smart Frames.

How Do Aura Frames Work?

Aura Frames makes it easy to share memories in your home, with loved ones, or even your friends and family who live halfway across the country.

This company offers some of the highest quality digital frames along with convenient methods of sharing your favorite printed photos. Whether you choose to purchase Auruframes for yourself or as a gift for someone else, you won’t regret investing in this unique technology.

They offer free unlimited photo storage. You won’t have to pay hosting fees ever - at all. You can easily manage your frames and photos with the top-rated app, and all frames are backed by a 45-day happiness guarantee. This allows you to try any frame you want completely risk-free.

The company sells both digital and analog frames. The digital frames come with some of the best resolution - you will be able to see every single freckle! The frames themselves aren’t your typical digital frames. They are attractive and handcrafted so that they will add a touch of style to any design.

You can set up any photo album within mere minutes with the easy-to-use Aura Frames app. To use frames, you’ll simply swipe the touch bar left or right. This will change your photos instantly for you. If you find a photo that you like, you can double-tap to like and save it. The frame adds a splash of true color and automatic color correction. Your photos will look like works of art.

Plus, Aura Frames makes it easy to gift your photos to love drones.  You can select the photos you love, invite your family, and include a personalized message. As soon as your loved one sets up the frame, they will see your photos and notes.

Not sure if digital frames are right for you? You can also opt to send five prints per month to someone you live with Aura Analog. This will allow you to send premium printed heavy stock photos to any address, which are perfect for storing in the complimentary stone frame.

If you like making photo books for people but hate how they become relics after just a month, then this is the perfect option you’ll be able to send out new photos every month without worrying about them becoming obsolete.

Cost and Price Plans

There are several styles of digital frames you can choose from, each of which has a differing cost. The Mason has the look of carved stone and measures 10" x 7.5" x 2" with a display size of 8.9” and a resolution of 1600x1200 and 224 PPI. it comes with a touch bar and a 5’ custom braided fabric power cord. It costs $189.

The Sawyer, on the other hand, has natural materials and is a more classic, contemporary frame. It measures 10.5" x 8.75" x 1.5" with a display size of 9.7” and a resolution of 2048x1536, 264 PPI. it also has a touch bar but instead has a rotating stand for tabletop display  -along with the 5’ braided power cord you would find in the Mason. It costs $249.

The Wood option is the most expensive digital frame by Aura Frames. It is handcrafted with walnut wood and finished with stylish brass trim. It’s a limited edition frame that measures 11.75" x 9.75" x 1.75" and has a display screen of 9.7”, like the Sawyer. It has a display resolution of 2048x1536, 264 PPI and is uniquely fitted with a gesture center. Like the Sawyer, it has a rotating stand so that it can be displayed on a tabletop along with a 5’ custom braided fabric power cord. It costs $399.

If you’re interested in a more classic option of displaying photos for your loved ones, opt for Aura Analog. This costs $7.99 per month instead. You will get five premium prints shipped each month along with a personalized note card with each shipment. This also comes with  complimentary hand-finished frame that can hold up to 60 of these 5x7 photos. You will also get access to the AUra Frames app on both Android and IOS. The first month comes free!

Competitors and Alternatives

There are plenty of alternatives to Aura Frames when you begin shopping around for unique new digital photo frames. One of the most popular alternatives is Nixplay.

When comparing Aura Frames vs. Nixplay, the main thing you need to know is that Nixplay is priced just about the same as Aura Frames. Although the frames aren’t quite as stylish - you’ll generally only have technological-looking standard black or silver frames instead of the classic wood and mason looks of the Aura Frame - there are options to play sound and music, with the Nixplay device. You, unfortunately, won’t find this with Aura Frames.

Online Customer Reviews/Complaints

Customers love how beautiful and stylish the Aura Frames are. When you’re shopping for digital photo frames, they can, unfortunately, appear tacky and unstylish from time to time. These photo frames don’t - they are effective and work well. They’re easy to set up and maintain, and you will love gifting them to your friends and family.

If you’re wondering, “do Aura Frames play videos?” you’ve unfortunately stumbled across the biggest customer complaint when it comes to these devices. While there are very few complaints about Aura Frames not working when it comes to showcasing your photos, customers don’t like that the frames don’t play video or sound of any kind.

That being said, you can display Live Photos that were taken with an iOS device. These will animate when you gesture through your photos on the frame.

Customer Service

Need to get in touch with customer service at Aura Frames? It’s easy to do. Not only does the company have active social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, but you can also sign up for the email newsletter for regular discounts and news.

Email [email protected] Frames.com with any questions, or call toll-free at the phone number - (646) 630-7237. There is also a handy help chat feature on the website.

Where to Buy?

You can purchase Aura Frames directly from the company’s website. In addition, Aura Frames are sold at more than 500 stores around the United States as well as abroad. Top retailers include Best Buy, Chapters, Bloomingdale’s, and Fry's Electronics. You can also purchase Airframes on Amazon.

Is Aura Frames Worth It?

If you’re looking for a great gift for your loved ones this holiday season, then you might want to consider the Aura Frame. Aura Frames are beautiful ways of showcasing your favorite photos, and if you don’t consider yourself a techie, don’t worry - the Analog option makes it easy to send photos each month to your loved ones, too.

While the Aura Frame is a bit more expensive than you might be used to paying for a digital frame, you’ll be rewarded with a handy device that is smartphone-controlled and adds a touch of style and personality to any setting - trust us, the price is well worth it.

If you value your privacy STAY AWAY

April8, 2020

Do you really want to find an old phone with no photos so you can activate the AURA app that MANDATES that you allow them access to ALL of the photos you have on your phone before you can use their $200 frame? What kind of company designs it business around such a premise? Extemely shocked, disappointed and returning the frame.

nice idea, exceedingly poor execution

My son got me an aura frame for Christmas. I don't know if I'll have time to touch on the many annoying aspects of this OVERPRICED dust catcher, but I'll try. So I get a gift, but have to be invited to use it. Okay ANOTHER company demanding I create a login. How tiresome is this to yet again give up personal information to enrich some data miner. Okay, did that, not install the aura app on my phone and open the app. Oh look, the app will ONLY show me one screen with three versions, none of which do anything UNLESS I give aura FULL access to ALL the photos on my phone. NOTHING without full access. F OFF, how dictatorial is this....,TOO much IMHO. So, get an old phone REMOVE ALL THE PICTURES and give AURA access to an empty folder. Okay, we're in, but feeling very slimy for going along with Nazi demands. Look, pictures on the frame, mildly interesting. Oh darn, the picture I wanted to see went away. But with a poorly detecting wave of my hand I get it back after the 3rd attempt. Let's see the mostly recently added pictures. SORRY, NOT POSSIBLE. Let's mark some as my Favorites, SORRY NOT POSSIBLE. We'll let's go the aura cloud and search through the pictures with my laptop to save some of them. SORRY NOT POSSIBLE. How many pictures can it store, unlimited.... sorta like having to watch every commercial ever produced waiting and waiting and waiting to see a recent picture. This is a 29.95 product, with 10.95 software, charging $300 plus dollars and doing NOTHING to upgrade, enhance, or improve. Don't waste your money, you can see the same thing on smart TV, larger, with more options using available software now. Aura - a four letter word IMHO.
