About American Cellars Wine Club

The American Cellars Wine Club promises their customers “six exceptional wines” each month at discounted prices, along with opportunities for free gifts, and the ability to cancel your membership at any time.

American Cellars is a subsidiary of the Vinesse Wine Club, located online at Vinesse describes themselves as one of the largest and most respected wine clubs in the country, specializing in finding little known wines from small wineries.

Members of the American Cellars Wine Club will receive six bottles of “hand selected wine,” either three bottles of red and three bottles of white, or you can choose to receive all red or all white wines. You will make this choice when you originally sign up for membership.

All wine selections will come with professional tasting notes provided by Vinesse in order “to enhance your understanding and appreciation of each wine.” Each bottle of wine you receive will be priced between $12 and $15, and will be automatically charged to your credit card each month, along with the necessary delivery charge. 


New members will also receive a six piece Cellar Master Wine Tote along with their third shipment, valued at $37.95. This tote can carry two bottles of wine, a corkscrew, two cloth napkins, and two wine glasses.

When becoming a member of a wine club where you are shipped your monthly selections, there are a few things you must know. First, someone over the age of 21 must be able to personally sign for the delivery when it arrives, and second there are some states which do not allow wine to be sent through the mail. If you have any complaints regarding a bottle of wine you have received, you can contact the company and receive a replacement bottle or a refund.

And, if you decide the membership is no longer beneficial to you, you can cancel at any time, and for any reason. This club requires no minimum purchases or minimum time commitment.

Vinesse Wine Club & Service Manager Kammy Watson: I have been fighting with her for months. She is not at all the kind of person one wants to find in such a position. The wine - all 3 labels - was terrible; & there was a misunderstanding which this person took advantage of & abused her position. I would ward everyone away from such a company! I lost a lot of money & time.

I thought I was joining a club where I can review and choose my own wine. After giving them my credit card #, I have received no receipt, no confirmation e-mail. The deal being I get 4 bottles of wine for $30.00 and a $12.00 credit to my inbox dollars account. I am feeling very uncomfortable about this whole deal. I'm seeing a Red Flag!

i have had nothing but problems and lost a lot of money for very bad wine- definitely not recommended
