Horrible store

I bought a white outside dinner table with 2 white straw woven seats. I thought it was reasonable for the amount of $599.99. But when I ordered delivery, they came 5 hours late. Then, while they were assembling it, I came outside to check on them. One of the guys tried to block me, saying "once it is finished it will be beautiful". I pushed him aside, and saw the pegs for the table were rusted and tan. I called their customer service, and when they refused to help me for 11 times in a row, I called a lawyer and sued them. I won. I really don't think they'll be bothering anyone soon.

Worst store I have ever shopped in. I ordered and payed for a bedroom set. I saw a set which I preferred at Ashley's. So the next day I tried to cancel and they said I would have to pay 40% restocking fee. The money did not even clear on my credit card yet. But, they still would not cancel. I told them they will not stay in business because of their wickedness. God takes care of everything.

Worst Policies and Customer serivce

this store didnt want to return an item that i purchased even though i tried cancelling it even before they had shipped it.. finally after argueing they gave me a store credit which i didnt even want. also i tried calling several times and they wont connect me with the service rep i was working with who was actually a genuine guy. these people are out to rip you off and not worry about you at all.. please be aware before you consider purchasing from them they will not work with you at all.

The same thing happen to us when the name of the store was Garden City Furniture. We ordered an item but changed our mind and we want to cancel on the same day but they refused. Anyway, we called Consumer Affairs and they contacted the store and we got our money back.

You should contact NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. It might not be too late:
(973) 504-6200 or (800) 242-5846 (toll free, New Jersey only)

Per NJ Consumer affair article:
The regulations prohibit the inclusion of words such as “all sales final,”
“nonrefundable” or “no cancellations” in any contract for the sale of furniture because these phrases violate or are contrary to the conditions required by regulation.

Very Nice Luxury Couch until it broke- bad service

The couch broke 1 day after delivery (literally the metal inside was rusted and broke off from recliner when used for the 1st time). Called immediately, especially after buying expensive 5year warranty.

After numerous stressful calls and being told a run around of stories and false timeframes for things to get done, couch STILL not fixed after calling 3 weeks ago!!!

Leather Sectional

Great Store. Bought a leather sectional on 6/5/13 and it was delivered on 6/6/13 by 12 noon. This is a great store, great prices and excellent customer service! After checking various furniture stores, I will definitely go back to Ajyad furniture.

Worst

Never order from here. Was lied to about a 1month layaway. Delivery was supposed to arrive within two weeks only to get a call 2days prior saying they won't deliver it. Excuse giving from the store manager Roy was there is a shortage of fabric. As if they think I'm stupid to believe that a sectional is put together in 2 days. No ETA was giving because the warehouse manager was sick. On the day of my delivery a week later They came at the wrong time. Noticed a small scratch on the leather part. Worst service dealing with unprofessional staff who clearly don't care about the integrity of the store.
