Airwander.com is the online home of Airwander, a website and company that says they want to help people “travel more, add stopovers, pay less, and discover the world.”
How Does It Work?
According to their website, the creators of Airwander.com realized there was a serious need for travel sites that didn’t just show you the prices of airfare but actually helped you plan and organize a multi-stop trip so that you could see as many places as possible while keeping your travel costs down.
A stopover is a layover that lasts more than 24 hours, and most people don’t know that adding stopovers to your flight plans can be a way to cut down on the price of your flight while also building in additional time to your itinerary to see additional cities and places.
When you add the airport from which you are leaving and the airport to which you are ultimately going, Airwander.com will show you all the cities where you can build a stopover into your flight and the money that it would save you on the cost of your ticket to add that stopover. Users can also indicate the specific city they are interested in stopping over to see what options may be available.
The truth is that Airwander.com is not doing anything the independent travelers could do on their own, but this legwork often takes lots of time, patience, and effort, whereas this website provides an algorithm that does the work for you, quickly and effortlessly.
Much like any other travel website, this company does not charge their customers direct fees in order to use their service. Instead, it appears that they make partnerships with other companies like airlines and any fees they earn will come from these partnerships and not from the customers they work with on scheduling flights. However, this company does say that the flight prices you see displayed on their website will be total prices, including taxes and fees, so that is important to know.
Because customers do not actually pay any fees directly to this website in order to use their search service, this company also does not provide their customers with any Refund Policies at this time. Customers who booked a flight that was recommended to them through this website but then realize they need to change or cancel their flight will need to contact the booking service or airline where they actually made their reservations and then adhere to whatever policies they have in place regarding altering existing reservations. Airwander.com will not be able to assist you in this process.

Airwander.com is a very new website and there simply are not that many customer reviews available for their service at this time. However, the few reviews which are available appear to be very positive and enthusiastic about the service that this company is providing to travelers, especially since it is doing so for free.
Competitors and Alternatives?
Obviously there are many, many different companies that offer their customers the ability to plan and book airline tickets, but it does appear that this might be one of the very first companies that allows their customers to plan their flights along with different stopover options.
