XanGo Reviews
Xango Business Opportunity Legit or Scam?
XanGo LLC
is another MLM out of Utah. If you don’t
know, Utah is home to many startup MLM
companies due to the states ambiguous
network marketing laws. The primary product
released by the company is XanGo Juice.
XanGo Juice is a health supplement made from
parts of the mangosteen fruit and includes
xanthones produced by the fruit.
Until 2005 the XanGo Company held a
patent for their flagship supplement XanGo
Juice. Recently this patent has been revoked
and is currently being appealed by the
company. The results of these hearings can
have resounding affects on the XanGo
business opportunity.
As a new business XanGo has been very
successful, reporting sales figures that
have been nearly doubling with each passing
year. This has allowed XanGo to reach out to
mainstream advertising avenues in their home
state, even sponsoring a soccer team.
The XanGo Juice itself has been
advertised as having many semi ambiguous
health benefits. These have included anti
microbial, antioxidant, and immune
strengthening properties. As with other MLM
health supplement distributors XanGo is not
endorsed by the FDA and lacks
unbiased scientific research to support
its claims.
The reason that clinical evidence of any
reported “healing powers” of XanGo Juice
is critical is because that is a key reason
for XanGo’s price justification. The company
charges almost $40 per bottle of XanGo
Juice. If the health benefits are non
existent than there is nothing separating
XanGo Juice from a typical vitamin rich
three dollar drink.
The XanGo business opportunity is
no different from other MLM programs. It
will follow the same breakdown of profits.
In which the majority do not make money past
selling to friends and family, and a small
percentage of expert network marketers with
a head start collect all the profits.

Adam Hansen utah | 9:59pm on January 13th, 2012 | Also I noticed the Comment about pyramid. What does that mean??? Like a church is shaped like one. The government is a pyramid. every Company on earth is shaped like a pyramid. Network marketing is the business of the 21st century. You guys are like the people who tried to make franchising illegal. which today makes up for most of Americas economy. You want us to buy your big golden arches? you want us to buy your cups, meat, buns, and pay you royalties on our profits? Now what a scam that is!!! Oh wait they are now serving Billions of people. You small minded people always try to stop change and make every one as week as you are. Instead of saying congrats to people for success and asking them to help you out you make up rumors and try to destroy what you could not build. why don't you look in the mirror and make something of yourself instead of trying to destroy a good thing like Sherman. |
Adam Hansen Salt lake city utah | 9:41pm on January 13th, 2012 | Wow!! You guys know so little and spend so much time making up things you know nothing about. Good thing none of you are smart enough to build a business of any kind for yourself. You all probably work at grocery stores making small amounts of money paying off your student loans. You have no Idea what business is or about xango or its founders. sad that you keep talking about juice when they have so much more. It shows how little you know about the company. Sad little poor people envy people who know how to make money. People don't fail at MLM's people quit. If you don't learn the skills of a golfer and you expect to play like tiger woods you should also start making up stories about the golf industry and how it is a scam. Networking is a learned skill. it requires guts and knowledge that none of you have.

jim Leppert CA | 9:10pm on January 11th, 2012 | its hard to do proper research about Xango, obviously because they cloud so much of it with this smokescreen info. but the most important thing to realize is that all of the "science" comes from a doctor who insists that he is objective and in no way related to the company, though it turns out he is a FAMILY MEMBER of the company. he wouldn't need to lie about this if they were legitimate. most ACTUAL objective doctors resoundingly dismiss his claims. he also makes very dangerous claims such as xango having cancer curing effects, and diabetes, and basically anything you can think of. none of which are legal claims someone with Xango can make. however even on federal records of campaign contributions he lists his occupation as "xango executive". this is illegal behaviors and an abuse of his medical credentials -speaking of which, he lied about those too, claiming to be board certified in both the US and Canada, when a background check confirmed he was certified in NEITHER!
as for income opportunity, they put emphasis on recruitment over the product, which is the hallmark sign of a pyramid scheme. if you doubt this, just look at their annual average income report. ANY earning claim MUST refer to this income report by law, so they must provide it too you. often it is displayed in a deceptive manner, but if you add the percentages of each level (usually in incredibly small print below) you can see for yourself that almost 99% of people in Xango are losing money, and that top percent are taking it ALL.
and speaking of that top percent - the top earner is Sherman Unkefer, who just happened to have spent 10 years in prison for FRAUD prior to doing Xango. nobody gets 10 years for white collar crime unless you're a REAL scumbag. real classy people in Xango. |
jm researchland | 9:07pm on January 11th, 2012 | my daughter got into this, and lost quite a bit of money because she kept investing in the company, believing their lies, until we starting researching a little deeper. Just because something has not YET been shut don’t by the government, or a regulatory agency or class action lawsuits, doesn’t mean they are credible, it only means that those agencies have not yet had the time or resources to do so. YET.
Xango is barely riding the line between legal “multi level marketing” and pyramid scheme. A company is a pyramid scheme, if participants make money from the premium fees paid by signing up new recruits. Xango claims not to be a pyramid scheme because their startup fee is only 35 dollars, and distributors make money off of the sales of juice in their downline, not from the startup premiums of new recruits. It should be more than obvious that all they have done, is shifted the money from the “premium” to the inflated prices of the juice, and then since Xango requires that distributors order a certain amount of juice every month, they are stuck paying this cost (shifted premium) indefinitely – that is until they wake up and see the scam being played on them, as it is only outside of being called a pyramid scheme, by a legal loophole.
also, Almost every one of the founders are also Mormon. I don’t mean to claim that there is anything inherently wrong with being Mormon, but if you are not aware of this fact, it might be troubling to someone who is offended by Mormon beliefs to find out that their money is being funneled to Mormon politicians, as Xango contributes vast amounts of money each year almost exclusively to Mormon candidates. This is verifiable by looking up the company and its founders on www.opensecrets.com.
They were even the top contributor to the political campaign of Utah Senator Orrin Hatch, contributing $47,200 in 2008 and $46,700 in 2006, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. |
carl scottsdale | 2:31pm on November 2nd, 2011 | hey Joe, I think it,s sad when people are conned into believing this juice will cure all their ills and totally abandon conventional medicine. This juice has nothing in it except a placebo effect. |
Joe Plymouth MN | 11:09pm on October 26th, 2011 | I just think all the negative people have the ability to know what a good thing is. It's sad there are terrible people like this in the world. Maybe take some more prescription drugs and kill yourself even faster! |
P. Chan Colorado Springs, CO | 9:42pm on October 24th, 2011 | I gave the juice a try out of curiosity, whoop de doo. It was a lousy-tasting juice that didn't make me feel any better or worse. I have found mangosteen teas in the oriental markets that taste much better than that Xango garbage. The price was better for the tea too.
Of course, the "supposed" reason the juice didn't work was because I wasn't drinking enough! They tried drawing me into that pyramid scam garbage with the promise that it would heal all that ails me. Sorry, while I may be physically ailing, I am not brain dead. |
Anonymous Location unknown | 9:45am on August 7th, 2011 | paul, looks like you got conned at a Xango sales meeting, all of you xombies say the same thing. Pub med, Mayo clinic, money blah blah .If your gullible to sign up for a $100 of fruit juice a month and have your credit card billed monthly, then of course your going to think it works.
The placebo is very powerful, So go out there and have a couple of Big Macs then balance it out with 2 oz of Xango.
Oh, and you will never get cancer. |
Paul California | 10:29am on July 15th, 2011 | XanGo is the real deal. Its sad there are people out there who have to knock a good thing. XanGo has done nothing but offer a fantastic product that really works. Why would the Mayo Clinic be using it its Human Clinical trail spending their own money? I have seen too many people have REAL results from drinking XanGo juice. There is only one answer, because it works. Not to mention all the third party research found on Pub Med. XanGo didn't pay for that. Also, much of that was done before XanGo even existed. Also, XanGo's compensation plan is fair and lucrative. For those people who say it doesn't work you do not know what you are talking about. |
harley phoenix | 6:02pm on May 19th, 2011 | lennon ledbetter lost all of his money in a divorce. There have been a lot of sad rumors goin on about LL from his own brother. There is way more to the story than." he just up and went to Xango because it was a better company"
Doug Wead has a lot of baggage of his own. Like tape recording conversations with then president George W Bush and selling these recordings to a NY Times reporter. He's pretty much washed up in Washington DC.
These are has beens in the MLM world that Xango has scooped up and paid to be spokesmen.
And of course don't forget top fruit juice peddler Sherman Unkefer, sentenced to 10 years for fraudulent schemes.
Looks like he's running another fraudulent scheme with xango.
Money money money. most people involved with Xango will say or do anything for a buck.
They all have to bend the truth to make you believe their $38.00 juice will cure your ills and make you rich.
My mother was married to Sherman Unkefer for 25 years and believed that Xango would cure anything.
She got cancer and died in 2 months.
All you really got to do, is a little research into this company, and you will find that it is a lot of hype, false claims, failed distributes, con men, paid doctor spokesmen, no human clinical studies, law suites, failed patent attempts. Just a bunch of greedy salesmen out for a buck.
I have been there and seen the whole smoke and mirror show go on for years.

Bradley Redding CA | 2:24pm on May 19th, 2011 | I laughed when I read this! I just turned 19 this last month and I've been in Xango since I was 18 and I'll admit I haven't really given it that much effort but even so I still always get my check every month and it pays for my product so I have a free business and better yet it keeps getting bigger each month! The more effort you put into the more you will get out of it just like everything else in life and if it was such a scam then why would Lennon Ledbetter just ditch his 800k a month check with amway and come to Xango? What about Doug Wead who was a presidential adviser and co-founder of mercy corps? is he in on the scam too? how come whenever there's something great that comes along there are always pessimists that try and ruin it for everyone else? |
harley phoenix | 1:27am on April 17th, 2011 | GOOGLE SHERMAN UNKEFER PRISON NOW NOW NOW. XANGO'S TOP SALESMAN WAS SENTENCED TO PRISON IN 1989 TO 10 YEARS FOR FRAUD. MR UNKEFER TRAVELS THE WORLD TELLING EVERYONE THAT HE MAKES MILLIONS FROM XANGO. HE IS FIGHTING THE STATE OF ARIZONA TO NOT PAY 7.5 MILLION IN RESTITUTION. GREAT GUY, WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING, PEDDLER OF $37.00 OVERLY HYPED FRUIT JUICE. WHAT A GREAT MAN. GO GO GO GO XANGO KEEP THE CULT OF PLACEBO GOING STRONG WITH LIARS AND PUMPED UP HYPE. |
Anonymous Location unknown | 1:09pm on April 12th, 2011 | So who is this Dr. Les Scarensen and where does he practice?? |
Joanie Georgia | 12:59pm on April 1st, 2011 | Dear Readers,
Just wanted to let people know that my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 4 years ago. When we first found out she had cancer, my sister ordered the Xango juice product. She insisted, that my mom take 2 oz. a day. Our mother still takes it daily, and has been cancer free since. She did have the traditional surgery, chemo and radiation, but we still believe that she is as healthy as she is now because of the Xango juice. My mom just celebrated her 73rd. birthday. |
joe tuck denver | 9:47am on March 31st, 2011 | Xango's top doctors and researchers are David morton phd,he has a phd with nothing to do with botanicle's. He is brother of Xango founders Joe and Gordon Morton. David is married to dr fredric templemans daughter Celine. Dr Templeman is a retired family doctor from Georgia who is listed as a non member of the American Medical Assoc.
Dr shawn Tallbot, another Xango doctor was fined up the wazoo by the FTC in 2006 for making false claims about cortisol. Google Dr Shawn Tallbott Federal Trade Commision.
This is a very shady company.
STAY AWAY ! |
Jeff Columbus OH | 7:09pm on March 16th, 2011 | Well I am a Xango dist.My wife and I do very very well with the biz...Network marketing isn't for everyone. It isn't easy. But Xango's commission structure is far superior to that of any other company out there.
As for the products, well UCLA Med Center and The Mayo Clinic have both done studies. Both came out with very positive results.Foxnews also did a very positive story just last week on Xango.
I am not saying its a wonder potion.Just that it does have very positive affects for many people.Of course everyone will react differently. |
Elmer Wisconsin | 9:53pm on March 12th, 2011 | I was paralyzed in a car accident 20 years ago. I drank Xango for two months and now I can walk again. I was so impressed that I poured some on my dead cat and he rose from the dead. Amazing stuff! |
Greg California | 6:07pm on March 5th, 2011 | The Xango that you see in stores are knockoffs. They are diluted down and missing very important ingredients. |
Mike Omaha | 6:38pm on February 15th, 2011 | Can you say..."pyramid"? If you can't, please call me. I have a bridge in Florida I would like to sell you! Or you can just send me the money and I will send you the bridge! |
Dr. Les Scarenson seattle | 10:06pm on February 3rd, 2011 | Xango is a scam. a big rotten greedy SCAM. plain and simple. Their doctors are merely propagandists who have routinely lied to crowds and the FDA about their affiliation with the company, misleading millions, abusing trust and desperation for cash, they conspired with convicted con man Sherman Unkefer, and according to their own average annual income report, 99% of distributors are losing money, while that top 1 percent are running away with it. how shameful.
all of those people on here giving hyperbolic and exaggerated "claims" or "testimonials" those are the many from that 99% who have gone into debt trying to sell this stuff, and hoping that by making more desperate claims they can sell more juice. the minor rest of them are likely placebo. look into the REAL science folks, not the Xango funded garbage. |
