World Market Systems

World Market Systems is an online company that sells internet business packages which include websites, traffic, and advertising.  They make impressive income claims and promises of a hands of automated income stream...the question is at $150 - $4,000 are their services worth the price tag?

Companies like World Market Systems are a dime a dozen, they all prey on inexperienced home business seekers and up-sell them at every corner.  Not only do they overcharge for the basics like a website and hosting but they also convince their customers to buy additional features that will have no affect on profits.

What they do is set you up with a cookie cutter website that they sell to all their customers, the only difference being a slight name variation.  They then convince you to spend up to $4,000 on things like search engine placement, paid advertising, email campaigns, affiliate partners, link building.

These are all elements of a successful online business; however they must be implemented on a personal needs basis and when done properly should cost a fraction of what World Market Systems charges.

Furthermore, a lot of the promises that they make they simply can not deliver.  It takes time to build a successful online business and there are no get rich quick shortcuts.  You can't trick the search engines into ranking your site and you won't make sales from their email generated traffic.

You need to build your business from the ground up creating a strong customer base along the way.  It's critical for you to learn all these techniques on your own so that you won't be at the mercy of companies like World Market Systems.

I think that having to pay thousands of dollars for an online business is excessive.  There are tons of services, e-books, and video tutorials that will provide you with detailed and thorough instructions at little to no cost.

Note: If you came to this website because you're looking for a way to make money online then I suggest you take a look at my top recommendations. These are the best methods I've found that anyone can use to make money online, Click Here.

I just stumbled on this site while looking for a phone number. I am both confused and a little scared. My buddy tried this and said he didn't make any money so after 3 months they gave him his $400.00 back. I thought that sounded pretty fair so I have been with this company for about three months. I have made $479.23 which is more then half of what I put in. At this rate I will make my money back in less then 6 months. I am doing self advertising as well. Are you trying to tell me that no one makes money? If so, then How did I? You must have the wrong company, I am working with manager named Gary Minor, we speak monthly, and they have been nothing but great to me. I would recommend this to anyone!

Why is it that people come on here and complain when they have not even spoken to the company about their problems. If you have a problem, call us, we will do our best to fix it. If you are not making money in the first three months, and you have advertised, we will return your Entire setup fee! Some of the people posting things on here, can call us and get a refund of the setup fee if they did not make money. But instead, they come on here and trash people. How ignorant some people are, that they are eligible for a refund but never call. The rest of the people on here who are not our customers, you have no reason to Bash us, simply because of what you have read, WE CAN NOT HELP YOU, IF YOU DONT CALL US!

How come the ONLY positive comments here are posted by people who don't put their names on the post... they are obviously people who work for the company.
This is a scam, don't touch it. They will nag you and hassle you until they get your money then you don't hear from them again!
Don't believe what they say as they are very convincing... listen to those alarm bells in your head.
They have moved into the Australian market now so be careful and do your research first. If its so good, as they would like you to believe, why aren't they doing it instead of hassling you to buy it as sales people!
The negative comments FAR outweigh the positive. There are negative comments ABOUT THIS COMPANY on blogs everywhere, take them as a warning.
DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was given the dubious pleasure of having a mr carter try talking me into purchasing a platinum package. these guys are slick operators but get edgy when confronted with people who ask pertinent and business like questions. they have to wake very early to catch me. i feel sorry for those who have been caught. remember that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is a scam. there is no easy way to success.

Well I may as well join the silly club. I have been with them now three months. I have requested a refund and all I get is calls from Gary, which I am avoiding. I email them messages only and give them strict instructions as to where to deposit my refund. After reading through these comments, I am grateful to now know the owners name and address.

As far as the BBB goes, there have ONLY been a total of 51 complaints in 7 years, out of A TOTAL OF 91,000 customers. ALL OF THOSE COMPLAINTS WERE RESOLVED SATISFACTORY AND CLOSED ACCORDING TO THE BBB STANDARDS. OVER 91,000 CUSTOMERS TO DATE, they have 211 COMPLAINTS, 91,000-211 = 90,789 CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE NOT COMPLAINED AND MUST BE HAPPY RIGHT? Unfortunately, you can not make everyone happy all the time, and you can not force people to get involved.

if they were the big bad wolf, the would not be in business, use common sense people. if you do not make money in 90 days, they refund your setup fee back. how many business's will build you a site, help you with advertising, and if you don't make money they give you your entire setup fee back?

they have been in business since 2002, and if you think about it, if world market systems was as bad as some of the people say on this site, they would be shut down. they have over 91,000 customers to date and there are only 211 negative postings on this site. first of all, none of these claims have been verified by anyone, many of which admit they are not even a customer of world market systems. how can you go online and lie about a company that you have never even been part of??

World Market Systems is scary, my next store neighbors in Germany, had tried to do business with them and they got scammed. The company asked for 5,000 plus other money for consulting their coaches. I love my neighbors but not that much because I wanted to see for my self what time it was. So I called them and I got the same story after giving them close to 500.00. Well the choice was mine and it was a stupid choice more so- because they didn't want to give my rent money back. I told them, listen up buckaroo- you give the money back or the news stations in america will be on your fannies before you blink and sneeze. Well, the manager of the call center called me back the next day shaking at the knees, you can hear it in her voice. She told me that my rent money for my house is on the way back to me no questions asked.
Yea I know I should have listened to them wonderful cool neighbors but I didn't. I wanted to see if their story was true. Just because someone tell you that your president is great because he is going to send every one 20,000 in the mail for being a citizen, dosen't mean it's true- IS IT?
Don't be hard up for nothing. Like your self. you deserve to love your self.

Don't let this company doop you, stand up and take your place. Call them on it. stay on the phone until they realize they lost in the conversation.

Be mindful of this company. They call with persuasive hype even if it's not obvious. The guy who called me was a wealthy stallion name Will Collins. He made it like it was a guarantee that you will make money. Nothing in this life is a guarantee. I listened to the silly audio. I'm so glad that I didn't waste my recession tight hard worked money on these scammers. There was a woman that tried to sell me three package seperately within 10 minutes, after Mr. Collins had putted me on hold. I told her I would think about it. She insisted on not giving up. I tried to be appropiate by telling her that I will wait and investigate to make sure this is a registered BBB,
(Better Business Bureau)Business.
FOLKS BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
IF YOU HAVE A DEEP GUT FEELING THAT A BUSINESS IS NOT CONDUCTING BUSINESS ETHICALLY ( MEANING THEIR NOT DOING RIGHT BY BEING AUDITED AND REGISTERED WITH THE BBB, ITS A PONZY ( MEANING SCAM ).

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BE PATIENT UNTIL THE RIGHT BUSINESS OR ON LINE BUSINESS COME ALONG. MANY OF THESE ON LINE BUSINESSES WANT YOUR MONEY AND WOULD BE HAPPY TO PITCH YOU IN THE GARBAGE CAN!!!!! DON'T FALL VICTIM- IF YOU HAVE ALREADY, LEARN FROM THIS AND BE PATIENT. RESEARCH IS THE BEST ALTERNATIVE.

To Sleepytime, Ventura Ca.
I have done business with these a**holes and I am not ashamed to bad mouth them either. What I am ashamed of is to admit that these jerks scammed me for thousands of dollars. To invest $2500 and put in alot of hard work, not to mention $ put out for advertising just doesn't seem worth it to only make $5000 in 2 yrs. By the sounds of things you may be one of them, afterall I'm sure your real name isn't Sleepytime

I have been with this company for a little more then two years. I lost their number and accidentally found this website when I was looking for it. I am flabbergasted with the things I am seeing here. I would be scared to death if I didn't know any better. I have been with WMS for over 2 years, I invested $2500.00 and to date have made over $5000.00. It took a lot of hard work on my end, but paid off in the end. I have had a few home business in the past, this has by far worked the best, i have had to advertise, but you have to do that no matter what your selling. sounds like most of the people have gotten a call and never signed up. How can you go around badmouthing a company you have never done business with?? You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Just like life, your results depend on how hard you work, if you worked on your business as much as you run your mouths on this website, you might actually make some damn money.

Received a phone call yesterday from a very nice lady named Ruby who very carefully explained, in detail, all the benefits that I could obtain. She did explain the 3 different levels and cost and benefits of each. When I told her that I wanted to do some research on this company before I committed to making a payment, she was NOT very happy with me. Now I know why. As a retired senior I'm looking to make a little extra cash, not get ripped off. Thanks for this website.

Sorry for all of you who got scammed. Just finish listening to the audio and I too was transferred to someone else after the audio was completed. Just told them I didn't feel good about this and the guy abruptly hung up on me. I think we should ALWAYS listen to our inner voice and when people start giving you the guilt trip for not acting fast like they would like you to do... beware ! I have not always listened to my inner voice, but I'm sure glad I did today. Why don't we all e-mail the E-Bays, Amazon.com, Tracelocity and Sony corporations and let them know they are participating in a SCAM ! They might be able to close this business down. Thanks for reading.

same story - being hustled into picking a program without sufficient information about why any of the "fortune 500" companies would need me to help them "advertise" - felt totally scammed. "supervisor" got impatient when I told him I wanted to do an independent investigation, would not commit until I was satisfied, and would call back. Thanks for this website - I would have been seriously taken in. My feeling? Stay far far away . . .

I wish I could've marked this company with a -100! They are absolutely horrible! I was hit up first for 1500 dollars by somebody I never talked to again. He said I would have my own coach to help me. They never helped me but instead hit me up for another 3900. I did it and then never talked to that coach, Robert Musick again. Now, I am getting calls from another person. It sounds like a kid and he is asking me for another 3900. I have made in two months, 51.00.

Long story short I have done my research. This company is a scam. It's a multi-level marketing system, not to be confused with a pyramid system. Either way, you will lose big.

I hope nobody does this, and remember that at the end of the day karma comes around.

Wow....I am so pleased I googled World Market Systems and read all the SCAM comments..
I got my first call 2 weeks ago and said I was busy could they call me back...They called me yesterday ..Sunday. I was played the 9 min audio. I then spoke to a lady can't remember her name and told her I was very wary of SCAMS and what was the guarantee and that point she put throught to her coach FRAN who proceeded to tell me about Silver Gold and Platinum and the 90 day money back guarantee she asked what I could afford, after I questioned her at lenght she told me she felt the silver would be best as you could use a company such as Ebay with guaranteed returns and keep asking how I wanted to pay, I told her wouldn't commit until I had investigated further.
At that point she gave me 1800211793 extension 2225 to call then hung up abruptly.
......DONT GET SUCKED IN.......

Hmn. This is all very odd. Are there two World Market Systems? Most of what I’ve read here is quite different to my own experience with WMS. At no time did WMS make any get rich quick guarantees to me or hint at automatic income streams as Steve mentioned above. Had WMS done so I would have hung up on them. I knew from the first contact this was to do with affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a legitimate business which can become profitable eventually. However, to someone with no affiliate experience it will take time, effort and patience.

I am by no means endorsing what WMS offer, simply sharing my own experience with them. Posters here complain of persistent phone calls and pushy salesmen. I didn’t get that. I had the initial contact and two other calls, which were expected and at a time convenient to me. At no time was anyone pushy. Posters have complained of not getting through to customer services. Let’s be mindful of time zones. Customer services were always available when I phoned with queries.

Posters have complained of no traffic to their websites, no commission payments, dead websites. See, the thing with affiliate marketing is that you can't sit back and expect hordes of visitors to your site and commission payments to roll in as soon as your site goes live. There’s a lot involved and I would suggest researching affiliate marketing very diligently. For starters, you can’t rely on the search engines. Your new site is way down the listings and it will take a very, very long time to get a decent page rank, unless you want to pay for something like PPC (pay per click). You have to promote your product(s) to get traffic to your website. Whether you do your own promotion or pay to have it done for you the risk is exactly the same: The best advertising campaign in the world will not earn you commission payments if visitors to your site do not make purchases through your affiliate links. It’s that simple.

WMS’ advertising guarantees traffic, not purchasers. Purchasers can never be guaranteed. So, are WMS’ advertising packages over-priced as people claim? I thought so at first until I got quotes from local and national newspapers (I’m in the UK). WMS’ packages worked out a lot cheaper. So get your local and national advertising prices and make your own comparison. Of course, there are hundreds of free advertising sites on the internet. You could spend months trawling through them all, but some won’t allow website promotion or work at home advertising, many charge for that, so again you should research costs.

So you have one of WMS’ advertising packages and you still can’t see traffic to your site. Where are you looking? Because you have your main website and you have sub-domains. The advertising targets the sub-domain of WMS’ own programme. You can see the traffic on that page, or monitor traffic via your private back-office area.

As to dead websites – I don’t think so. You can have as many as 10 affiliates on your site free of charge and they do not all have to be through WMS. I wanted to add some UK companies to my site. When you apply to become an affiliate, the company reviews your website for suitability and will either accept or refuse you. I haven’t been refused yet, so I obviously do not have a dead website!

Finally, I strongly urge anyone contemplating affiliate marketing to do the research before making a commitment. Decisions will be a lot easier to make once you fully understand what’s involved.

OMG!!! I'm so glad I found this site. I too just got off the phone with a "coach" from World Market Systems. My story is basically the same as most..filled out online ad (will never do that again), was sent a link to call 1-800#, got a phone call from "John". He too was getting insistant on getting me "up & running" immediately. I told him that although I had been looking into this type of home business, I needed some time to decide if this was right for me. I did tell him that I was very interested and that I would call him back after I talked to my husband who was at work. He gave me his number, but wasn't too pushy. We'll see what happens when I don't call him back. Thank god for call display...I know what number not to answer. A big thank you to all that have posted their experiences with this company...my condolences to those who got stung.

You have to give these people points for trying! My 'professional adviser' who called himself Ryan Murray spent 45 minutes trying to push me into this scam, getting increasingly heated and bullying the longer it went. Dismal waste of time on his part - can't understand why he thought he was going to get a positive result after I kept saying 'no I don't want to sign up'. As someone who is very interested in learning as much as possible about online marketing and direct sales techniques as possible, I deliberately let him think he had me signed up (right til the end). I didn't find this site til after I'd concluded the call. I feel very sorry for the people who have been trapped by these unscrupulous b**tards and wish you all the best in trying to get your money back. Bottom line - there's no such thing as an easy and legitimate way to make money without effort. If there were, why would these mongrels need us?

I just had a very interesting experience with World Market Systems. I received an email telling me I could make money from my own home business and to click on a link. I clicked on the link and filled out a form to get info. It then instructed me to call an 800 number to listen to a 9 minute audio regarding the program. I did and got Richard. He was charming and intro'd the audio. I listened to the audio which consisted of a couple of happy clients stating how happy they were with the program but little meat regarding the company or the program. After the 9 minutes I got Richard again who told me about the Silver, Gold and Platinum program costing from $149 to $477. Richard was a real salesman who wouldn't take "I need to think about this and do some research" for an answer. He told me to relax, take a few deep breaths and pull out my credit card. When I kept saying I was not going to make a decision on the spot and if one was needed on the spot it was no, he got frustrated and told me to take his tollfree number and call him when I was serious about making money from home. I asked for the number and got "888-230-75" when the line went dead. Guess I made the right decision!

I just had a Michael phone me and try to convince me to join when i asked him how i can prove this is a legitimate company like thru the better business bureau he told me that they are just advertisers and take money from his business. Any company that will not allow someone to read a contract before signing is a SCAM. Anyone who asks you to sign up with a credit card without providing a contract for the services is a SCAM. Any company that does not have a contract for the services they are selling is a SCAM. Any company that will not back up their "system" or "process" with a bona fide contract is a SCAM. This company does have a web site; http://www.tour1234.com/ login and PW is "tour" and within this site they have a online guarantee. Read it carefully and understand how it works. "World Market Systems™ guarantees that you will start making money in your first 90-days or less, or you can call our office after your 90th day and we'll refund your entire set up fee." The set up fee is not and does not include add-ons. You only need to make $1.00 within the 90 days and no refund will be forthcoming. The remainder of the site lacks insight on the inner workings of their services/business opportunity for you the consumer, so be aware, be very aware. A solid and reputable company will be 100% upfront on how their system or process will work for you and it will be in writing. Yes you will make money from their system but for the time, effort and investment you are far better off in getting a job at MacDonalds. Their system is proven to make money, just not the money they lead you the consumer to believe you will make. Cheers

I just got off the phone with Pat McKenna of WMS. He got a little pushy towards the end of the conversation when I specifically asked him why I couldn't just use the amazon kit I had purchased on my own. PLEASE HELP - My 90 days is not up yet...Does anyone know if you can get a refund for the advertising or is the refund only for the website itself??
I signed up with WMS in March...I have been checking the website constantly - and have not earned a thing! I got sucked into paying thousands for the website and advertising they offer. Now my car repayment is almost due, I have no money and no savings to back me up! Please if anyone is thinking about joining - DON'T DO IT. I feel so stupid for being pushed and bullied into it!

I too filled in the application process, I began getting very suspicious when an unknown caller would phone me, numerous times and never leave a voice message on my machine. I reversed phone booked the phone number..it comes up as an Arizona telephone company. No WMS mention anywhere. Their company phone line is "hidden", that was enough for me. I soon received a phone call from "Dave" and agreed, "through morbid curiosity" to listen to an absolutely HORRIBLE phone conversation(s). Anybody who will not market their product person to person is a fake. Another red flag is when he mentioned that I "probably" had a major credit card, I told him "no way" and hung up. The pushy scammer called me back! I informed them that if any further communication was attempted I would forward a complaint to the RCMP. I am not impressed by facebook either, they certainly know the history of WMS but gladly post their links. I suspect facebook may be selling or information also. I can't prove it, but I am suspicious.

World Market systems helped me by setting me up with my own online business almost a year ago now. I was a little nervous at first but they do have a 90 day money back garuntee. so I got set up with the platinum packege. I make up to $300 for all of my refurels that get set up and I get to work with some great companys like Ebay, Sony, Amazon and Travelocity.com. It's not a get rich fad or a gimmic but it is a way to supplement my income. It is one of the better choices I have made. I would call and get set up today.

They just called me and while he sounded friendly and professional at the beginning of the conversation, he started to get rather pushy and desperate when i said that i need to discuss with my partner before i commit to any one of the offered (and discounted!) packages. He even tried to reassure me that i'll be making a big mistake if i dont sign up immediately. Only when i said that i'll be in "deep shit" if i dont discuss this with my partner first that he backed down but not without repeatedly ensuring that he could call me back tomorrow. Him being pushy led me to your site. So my decision's made...NO WAY!!
Thanks for posting this info online so housewives like me wont fall into this trap :/

Hi - I am so glad I had the internet up and running before I agreed to anything. I know a little about business and was thinking I would like to see if I can set up my own affiliations before I pay someone to do this for me!! Lucky I found your site - seems like Carl and Wally are very busy calling Aussies - I'm passing this onto everyone I know - dont waste your money. THANKYOU for saving me.

I subscribed to World Market Systems maybe 3 weeks ago, was told I had to post my own advertising. Hey isnt this part of what I paid for? Guess not. Im new to all this stuff, dont have a clue here. THATS WHY I PAID THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!! So, ok, I learn to place some ads. Well, website is just sitting there, 3 weeks later, doing nothing. I could have just made one
myself, after I figure out how, and have it just sit there. So am calling and getting my money back
and putting it into one I'll build myself.
and getting my money back.

Tried to get my money back from these scums all they did was feed me heaps of garbage about someone trying to sabotage their business that all the information on the net is false about their company. I Basically told them to stick their money and hung up kept on getting phone calls from them but did not answer my phone because i could identify their number because it was stored into my phone. After about 2 weeks thought i would see if i had made any earnings thinking that maybe just maybe they were genuine boy was i wrong tried going to Backoffice and found out that my records didn't even exist.Have reported them to Today Tonight they are very interested in my story and other scams that are going around similar to this one.People have to be warned think very carefully before committing yourself to these so called opportunities play it smart like i should've done and if in doubt research their company first before committing.

I'd like to say that I filled out a questionnaire online too about starting a home business, and soon Larry called me to invite me to make lots of money from home....I asked lots of question but didn't get straight answers, he was avoiding some, like what's your company website, I'd like to research first. While he was promoting WMS, I googled on my laptop, I saw Scams..."don't be fooled", so I told Larry, what I just read online ..he didn't enjoy hearing that. I told him that before I dish my money out I need to check out WMS...I told Larry to call me back in an hour, I need to research WMS....let's see if he does.

I too got sucked in, soon as I was off the phone regretted getting sucked into such a dud program. I have to say tho, that everyone I have dealt with were more than helpful, the guy at customer satisfaction emailed me twice saying to call him as he felt it was too early to call me yet, when he called later he was very nice, understanding and frustrated that more people wont just call and talk to them about it! I just said that their company had a bad rep in Australia and that I didn't want to promote their sales, and he said fine, your refund will be processed. Just call and ask for a refund and yes, be pushy back, they have a 90 day refund policy!

I signed up the other day, with my website just up today. I have spoken to a lovely girl in the states. It is 2am and I cant sleep thinking about this thing. Just took 1 sleep tablet and still not working. I cant even tell my parnter I spent money. He is going to be wild. So I called them. They will call back in 24 to 48hrs! I morally and ethically cant even start advertising for this thing! They say that when you advertise your site that it will draw people to either want to earn the income or buy through the affiliates. I said it is a dead website! I cant even advertise to coerce someone to go to my website so they can then in turn go to ebay or amazon. How dumb do they think we are. I am not offering anything that will benefit them other than they getting another dead website and trying to advertise people to come to their own site and go thru the same thing. It is a dead website. You would be better of making up your own site and putting pages on with different things that would be of interest to people that you want to share and discuss and then add affiliates to that. They make the site look pretty but it is so useless unless you want to go out and scam others to joining. My question still stands... WHAT ARE WE OFFERING PEOPLE FOR THEM TO JOIN????? I am no scammer and would hate to do that to my fellow man. She started talking about people using search engines and finding my site. I said that I tried myself and couldnt even find it. She then said that it will take a few months for this to work. When I originally called for interest, I said that I have to speak to my partner as he wont be happy unless i run past him, but the guy over the phone gave this speel that ended me signing up for basic package and then upgrading for a small amount - I should have stuck to my guns. If I had taken the time to think about it, I wouldnt have joined in the end, realising that the site has nothing to offer people other than joinging the scam or clicking on affiliate which there are so many other ways to find affiliates than sort through a needle in a hay stack website like we get to find mine which says, hey check out the weather and news, and if you click on the affiliates you can go shopping on ebay or amazaon! Oh yeah and you can make money but conning other people into doing this same thing. Doh, I give my fellow man more credit and respect than that. Morally this whole thing sticks. Wroughting money from people, so they can go and wrought from someone else. The affiliate idea is not bad, but you need a site that can offer people something of interest other than go to my site and click on my tabs! They are my thoughts all over the place possibly at 2am in the morning. thanks for listening

after recieving a call from "Russell" (who had a very American accent) less than 12 hrs after filling out an online survey..(yes I know.. that should have clued me up a little!)I was instantly put on edge when less than 12 seconds into the conversations he asked if I had a credit card that I could use to fund this enterprise with. After listening to the rather poor audio spiel, "Russell", was apparently tied up on another line, and another rather aggressive pushy chap came on the line, and refused to give clear answers as to how the system operated, and became more pushy when I said of course I would have to check this with my Hubby and accountant, and demanded immediate payment, saying, we will stay on the line with you as long as we need to, we want to get you started today, when one of your referrals comes through, we will do the same with them. I then told them I was recording the conversation, and planned to present it to the authorities.. funny how quickly they get off the line. However I wasnt interested in something when someone calls me out of the blue, introduces themselves, then straight up asks for a credit card.... LIKE HELL!! How to get a refund   Melbourne, Australia

8:30pm on Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

To get a refund, you have to be VERY ASSERTIVE ... let them know YOU MEAN BUSINESS. I was dealing with "Wally" (I suspect none of them use real names). He tried to come the heavy with me and I bit back. Got my refund in 10 days once he realised I was not a pushover. Here's his email: wally@satisfactionteam.com ... somehow I think "Wally" may not have a job for long if he is refunding people!!! And for those of you who think it's legit ... please ... where there's smoke there's fire. In WMS' case, it's a raging inferno.

hey everyone,

I was also a victim of this world market system crap. I signed up in feb and after giving my credit card details i went on the internet to research (silly me) and I found all these forums saying negative things. So I called them up and made a bullshit story saying that " i had to pay for my rent and i just lost my job" I had to also talk to the manager who tried to convince me that they made a deal etc etc but i refused and I started talking personally and asked him how he would react if he had no money to pay his rent and then finally he said he will return my money. They usually take 10-14 days to return ur money if its credit card and to make sure they will return my money i called them few times again and again to see the progress and finally they returned it :)Also they have to refund the money if u ask them within 5 days. So anyone who is reading this please call them back and get ur money back! They say they can gurantee that you will earn money but u would just get around $ 8 bucks. Its bullocks!

I just signed up with Mike Priebe - very smooth talking and gave me US$100 discount off Platinum. I've never been scammed before - can't believe I was so sucked in.

Not impressed by PayPal either, whose 'Buyer Protection' doesn't apply to 'services' when you read the small print.

I am also a victim of WMS. My own fault naturally. All the promises of making money and only spending a minimum amount of time at it. If you want this to work, and there are no guarantees, you have to consider it to be a full time job. Not what I was looking for, I only wanted to supplement my income especially during some hard times like right now. I signed up last year, about November I think, the phone was ringing everyday until the cancellation time expired and then try to get someone to return your call. I have made about $17.00 and have received about $8.00 in cheque form from them to date. I am too embarrassed to say what I had to pay to get this but I will say it was in the thousands. I hope this helps with your decision.

Hi everyone. Have just been reading some of the comments and am convinced that this system is a SCAM.well organized and convincing but certainly very pushy and time wary so that You don't really know what you are up against. I have had the same story with choosing the lowest Silver for $149 and they offering to pay $50 to bring you up to the Platinum-just you pay an extra?$120 and youll earn up to $300 each time you get a click on your web-site.. etc Will be payed by cheque at the end or beginning of each month.. to your street. so you give them youR address too!! OOH SO SLICK.. THEY GOT ME.. and on checking the AMERICAN EXCHANGE MAKES IT $600.00 ouch!
PLEASE BE WARY .. THEY DONT ANSWER THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE NO. it has even CHANGED during the day when I rang. DONT WAIT FOR THE WELCOME EMAIL..if you have paid up.. (and its so easy to get SUCKED in..) ring your credit card inquiries, tell them you have been scammed and they will put a hold on it- to wait for them to be identified, and will get your money back by disputing the transaction. In 2 days they will cancel it so they can track them.. Dont cancel it straight away or you will lose youR money.. OK.. BE REALLY CAREFUL .. THEY ARE CUNNING.. M.

I asked him to ring back in a week when ive had time to think about it. after 5 mins of trying to persuade me to sign up on the spot he agreed to call me back i am supposed to hear back today. i thought i would check out their company before agreeing to anything after seeing all these comments and 99% of them are bad! it is too much of a risk to me financially and i thank you all for sharing your stories.

Unfortunately i found this website AFTER i forked over some 230$ Canadian for a gold package (which i was talked into upgrading to at a low cost). I found the whole process sketchy from the begging. The first phone call, which i got at work, the salesman was very pushy. I told him i was busy, and to call back later, his response: 'well you dont sound like your very interested in starting your own business'. I should have known right away, but i gave it a shot anyway. I very politely called them last night and today for a refund, which has apparently been done, but im going to live off my online bank account nervously until the credit shoots back up.

Some solutions if you find yourself stuck (and i still don't know for sure if ill get a refund) but my excuse was: im moving, and will lose internet access for 2 months (what can they say to that?)

If this doesn't work, ive already been talking to my credit card company, i am reporting it as a non approved transaction. Ill write letting everyone know if i have any success.

lesson learned on my part!!

I believe World Marketing Systems is a SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

I filled out one of the surveys online a couple of days ago and was contacted by World Market Systems (WMS) business consultant by the name of Kary. He was very nice and sweet talking and persuaded me to take out one of the three packages. I initially agreed to the basic Silver package of $149 but he convinced me that the Platinum package was better value for money, as a single referral of a customer would get me $300. I told him I wasn't prepared to pay $477, I wanted to start off small and see how it works before upgrading to the platinum. He then decided to drop off $100 and said the Platinum package will cost me $377 instead and all I needed was one customer referral and I would almost even out.

Having had the shittest past few weeks after the lost of a beloved pet and personal illness, I was sick and tired of my job and felt like a change and thought this could be my way out...), so I stupidly agreed (as they said there’s a 90 days money back guarantee) and handed them my credit card details. Usually, I'm more cautious than that, but I haven't been thinking straight for the past week or so. Nonetheless, I must admit, what I did was stupid and will learn from this!

Anyway, he then talked about keywords and search engine - how he could put my keywords/website in the top 300 search engines or something like that for another $480 or so. I said no and he said for $96, he can link me to Top 30 search engines and persuaded me that this would boost my advertisement. So, I agreed.

He went over my details, address and credit card numbers three times throughout the conversation to confirm that he had the right details. After agreeing to pay him $542 in total (doesn’t even add up), he said that I’ll expect an email within the next hour about my website details/link and if I don’t, I can ring him (he gave me his extension number) and the customer service 1800 211 263. He also said a coach would ring me too.

A couple of hours later, I went online to check World Marketing Systems out and could not find their homepage/doesn’t work and found this wonderful site telling me that this is a SCAM! So I immediately rang them to cancel it but could not get in touch with Kary as the extension he gave me was invalid. No one was present at the Customer Service, so I left a message and asked them to call me back as I have a questions to ask them. I’ll keep you posted to see if they would call me back.

Luckily because I was issued a new credit card as the old one had just expired, I didn’t know that my security code had changed, so I ended up giving them the wrong security code. I then phoned my credit card company to check if they had withdrawn any money and they told me they had attempted to withdraw nearly $600 but it was rejected as the security code was incorrect. Nonetheless, I cancelled my credit card and order a new one with new numbers.

Here are some reasons why I believe they are a SCAM:
1. He gave me an invalid extension
2. No one picked up the phone when I rang Customer Service to try and cancel it
3. Overdrawn the amount I agreed to pay them nor do their maths add up
4. Received numerous persistent Missed calls on my mobile
5. Pressuring me to buy on the spot and wouldn’t let me think about it.

Here’s my advice for those who want to contact them….you should say… “I would like to UPGRADE my package”. I bet they would ring you back in the next 5min!

It is with interest that I read the posts here. I fell for the whole "no, do not worry, we are bound by our word and can not make false claims". Two weeks after excellent sales talk and going for the platinum package which is the most successful and popular and forking over 700 (take the exchange rate in to consideration) plus dollars, I have not heard from anyone - amazing how inaccurate their time calling is when they have to assist in the set up, but they know just when to call to bug you for the business !! I have made contact after over half an hour on the phone waiting to be put through to someone in the right department who can take me through the refund process - within 48 business hours apparently !! Dont I feel foolish?!!

Hi I was like all of you and the sales people are great i guess that is what they are getting paid for. So when i read your blogs I was worried as well i phoned the coach and he said to check with BBB which i did only to discover that they had a D- rating.I was scared my money was going to evaporate and i was being sucked in like others i had read on this blog. I phone the coach he didn't answer then i became more worried, I left a message asking him to call. Too worried to wait I called the customer service explained my situation and he said he would talk to a supervisor and someone would get back to me. I felt like i was getting the brush off so I called again after some time and he told me he had talked to his supervisor and they would contact me shortly. I'm thinking i am screwed...and how to turn this thing around ( maybe if i advertise on my own i can recoup my loses) To my suprise the phone rang and they had cancled my order and they even sent me a confirmation e-mail. Which if their is a problem i can go to my card company with to dispute charges.

They delt with me very fairly and honestly and frankly there are other companies out there that once they have the hook in you never let you off the line. They had me between a rock and a hard place. My card company said that unless they agreed to release me i would have to pay the money as i had entered into that contract with them. They did the right thing by me.

Moral of the story if you have doubts go slow and dont go in whole hog. I myself have decided to try their free advertising technics and if i can make some money on my own, enough to cover their add costs i may go for it. It is all about your own comfort level and if your not comfortable take your time think it out and go with your gut.

I had a phone call from World Market Systems this morning, I'm in Australia. I said that I would talk to my husband first then the guy sounded all deflated & gave me a contact number to phone him back on. I'm so glad that I didn't sign up to this crap as I have since done my research to find out it's a scam. Thanks so much for posting this video, this has made me definately say NO. I guess the moral is to be very careful of all the scammers and if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!!

The amount of crap going around on the internet is unbelievable...it's sad that these idiots are trying to scam innocent people, just looking for an extra income, out of their hard earned money! I am thankful that I found this video when I Googled World Market Systems! I am expecting a call at 10 this morning from Steve Boesch who will no doubt try and convince me to join!

Got a call from them this morning. First was Chris, then put you onto a 9 minute conversation playback and finally Jeff who try to close the deal. I asked for their website to find out about them but they say they give all information over the phone. They claimed they are from the US. Got a bad feeling and luckily i searched worldmarket system online and found out its a scam. Thank you for this youtube info. Hate those people.

I am so grateful I did not sign up for this. I learned about it, investigate it and it sounds too much like Stores Online. I'm all to aware once a company is figured out to be a scam by enough people, they'll change their names and pose to be different people. People like these piss me off to no end. Thank you for this You Tube video. It helps. I wish more could be done to round up scammers like these and either jail them or have their genitals shot.

I can't say if it is scam or not. I can say that I have been treated very fairly. I, like most people on here, signed up on the spot without giving it much thought. It wasn't until after I had handed over my $377.00 that I found this page. Of course after reading everyone's posting I was very skeptical so I decided that just in case I would ask for a refund. I initially spoke to Bart. After hearing the audio Jim took over. Yes, they are very friendly and sweet talking but they are only doing their job. A couple of days later I rang them and got talking to Cliff who did indeed try and upsell me other things. I had no intention of paying anymore money and was very disappointed that this was the case. He did go on to say that of course I don't need to buy anything else, it just helps. After more consideration I decided that it wasn't for me as I believe you do need quite a bit of time to make it work and not the 1-2 hours a week that they claim. Being a mum of 5 kids, working from home doing accounts etc I realised I didn't have the spare time. I rang customer support asking for a refund and the next day Wally called me. He wasn't keen and stated that I hadn't given it a go yet as my website had only just been put up. He was right in saying that his company had already invested time on me and didn't want to discuss the refund issue and I did understand where he was coming from. Also like alot of people I hadn't discussed it with my spouse and my husband was very adamant to get our money back. He was going to take out a credit card dispute transaction with our bank. I was contacted again by phone but missed the call so I emailed Wally and now my money is being fully refunded. I really can't complain, I don't truly believe it is a scam and I think it could really work if you had the time and inclination.

OMG thank god I found this site and all these terrible stories. I was so close this morning, they did make it sound really easy. I said I would call back when my husband got home. I have since had 5 missed calls from a private number. Just so glad I found this website. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with this dirty mob.

I have not yet decided whether the company; world
market systems is running a scam yet. I know that
it does take time for this type of process. That
being said, I will be looking out for deceptions. If my experience shows that 'W.M.S.', is running a
scam...I'm gonna go 'Cyber'.
I am curious, why don't these types of companies
put anything in writing/print? Not digital print,
but written on some type of binding agreement.

In February 2008 I was approached by World Market System. They were on the surface very professional, but it was a sales pitch that could fool anyone. It was so intense to sell this and that product, and no cooling off period. Obviously I was not interested in buying into a product unless it delivered. So I opted to play cautiously. I felt very pressurized by them and after having bought a basic pack, nothing materialized and I knew and felt that this was a scam. As a business on e-commerce, this was a risky venture, but I never saw a return, not even 1% of the money I invested. Then all went dead. I called them and there was no response and I was able to copy down all the data, however when I complained "customer satisfaction team" well that was what they called themselves, but again it was a rip-off, they shut down my web site completely and in fact no leads were logged for nearly 5 months, no visitors - it was as if they had closed shop and gone on vacation with my money. If there is anyone out there who is contacted by them, keep your money, put the phone down and do not engage into any conversation with them. America does not need these companies that target you for your money and yes I eventually sent a complain to Department of Justice DC informing them that I had been scammed. DO NOT give them any money or look at their products, they are highly suspicious bunch and once they have your money, it's bye! bye! so like all of out there who have learned the hard way, I can only sympathize and ask you to try other means of making money, but avoid WMS with a long barge pole, in fact keep you distance as if this was a GOVT HEALTH WARNING like on cigarettes - DANGER - NO GO AREA - KEEP AWAY!

I called these guys also and they were trying to sell me one of the platinums. Why would you buy into something you barely know anything about. They say they guarantee you will make money on their website but as the per the comments below how can you be sure you will get the money back. They also say there are no other cost involved ha ha ha. Bloody scammers. Most of us us just trying to make an honest income. How can they live with themselves.

I agree with Melbourne,Australia comment below

'Why would people come to your website when they want to buy from Amazon, eBay or Travelocity rather than go directly to them? It's not likely'

You know it would be so easy for these guys to be legitimate, and still make money. They have the platform ,and the know how ?? Its shysters like this that sham ppl out of their money, which make it difficult for real online businesses to get started.

Thanks for this website!! They almost got me.
The guy I talked to was Mike,,and he was very polite and not pushy at all. I told him I would call back tomorrow and he was fine with that,,although I made it clear that my husband has the credit card and I could not give any money today. Anyways, I am glad to not have looked like a fool to my husband over this. He would have been furious.

I got a call from Tim this morning (early). He was very convincing initially. Selling me all the dribble on the silver,, gold, and platinum packages. It really sounded like a good idea. I was thinking ' Hey I could even watch Oprah and Dr Phil while working from home ..lol.
He was very polite; even insisting that I get on the website whilst talking to him so he could walk me through. ( I wasn't even dressed out of my jamies). I couldn't believe he was talking to me from the USA on my mobile.
Asking me to get on the computer was a mistake. he walked/ran me through it, then pushed for my visa.I told him I wanted to think about it. I said we'd only skipped through it. Whilst he continued to rattle on I was doing my own searching for reviews. I asked him to send me some info he said they can't 'till i'd filled out the forms/visa etc. I said people don't sign up for something and then get the info. I was one of the luck ones and I feel really sorry for those who were taken advantage of. For anyone including A Current Affair I do have his phone number and Tim's ext. I hope this is helpful to other. Thanks for all your reviews.

It looks like this scam started in other countries. I just got a call from "Kim" who said that I needed to show for and interview. I know I didn't apply for a job with them. I was doubtful about truthfulness. I Googled World Market Systems and thank God I found you folks. Get your pen. Here is their location and number given to me;

Non of this information shows at be good. All of you are right and I thank you. It cost me $0.

Thank Heavens for this site. Those folks sure are smooth talkers to get a well-educated lady like me to fall for this promise of wealth. I should have paid attention to the uneasy feeling in my gut when I started this. I am only out the initial small fee of $149 Canadian but it is a small price to pay for not being more vigilant, and I had to cancel my credit card to ensure that they couldn't put any more charges through. The old adages, "There are no free lunches" and "Buyer Beware" should have been my guide.

Yes, I've just been on the phone for over 25 minutes, speaking to a Karl Carter......all "Mr Carter" wanted was my credit card!!! I told him i would not give my card details over the phone. I told him i would email him the details....which of course i had no intention of doing. He was unable to give me an email addy. Told me to hold the line and he would "Find" an addy for me.. Now, shouldn't he know what his email address is??? Huh?
He came back on the phone and was quite rude. I knew straight away he was a scammer, that just confirmed it. Bloody rude bastard!!
Anyway, he isn't getting my money!!

Don't be sucked in. It's DEFINTELY a scam. It's not a "business" and there's nothing to "sell" ... you just get this overpriced and lame website and a link to Amazon, ebay, Travelocity or whatever. Why would people come to your website when they want to buy from Amazon, eBay or Travelocity rather than go directly to them? It's not likely. And the website is simply there to try to get other people sucked in to buy a very expensive and not that attractive website like yours. If it was so great, they'd show you what you were getting for your money before they made you pay, and stop all the BS about the discounted special price. They fail to mention the ongoing thousands they ask you to pay for advertising, so that perhaps you might get a bit of money back. Same old story, if it sounds like crap, smells like crap and looks like crap ... you got it, it's CRAP. Ask too many questions and they start to get a bit edgy or downright rude. Apparently you can get a refund if you come the heavy, so don't give up.

I signed up on the 23rd with Mike Priebe. Not knowing much about marketing or starting my own business, he assured me SUPPORT from my COACH.
I called Mon. and said " I want a refund due to the service you are providing or lack of" He's
a smooth talker and told me he would take care of things they been hit with the plague around there and were very short handed. I figured it was bull, but I have 90 days and it's been less than a week.
Now I get a call from Pete, not my coach, from the satisfaction team. Talked real fast and told me he they needed keywords to link my website to search engines. That's why a coach hasn't been a signed. O.K. He sends an email and says the coach hasn't called because you're already set up. Here are tips on advertising 1. Watch T.V WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I paid money for this. Not to mention my sites not even coming up. All I have heard is BACK OFFICE.
I am calling 1st thing in the morning. Already made a call to my CC company. Did they refuse anyones refund? Mr. Priebe will get a piece of my mind. I have a lawyer in the family and may take legal action...anyone in?

My favorite was after telling the sales guy Tim repeatedly that I wanted to do more due diligence, his comebacks were ' So whats the middle initial on your credit card'? , Then 'OK, so is it a Visa or Master?'. I began to lose patience after more than 5 attempts to stiff me out of cash, so I told him straight that if he pushes again I'll hang up and he can forget about it. Guy backed off..meanwhile, i've had other reps call. Seems their internal communication is a mess. A%$holes rang me at 2:45 am last week, i just hung up on them.. have reported them to A Current Affair here so maybe a story will come.
Pass the word- they're dodgy as hell!!
