Work at Home Recruiters Review
Is Emily Thomas'
WorkatHomeRecruiters.com a Scam...?
Work at Home Recruiters (workathomerecruiters.com) is a new site that
claims to be, as the title suggests, a recruiting site for work at home
employees. When you visit the site you'll see that the creators have
spared no effort on the impression of legitimacy.
The problem is that the entire site is an exercise in false advertisement and
customer misdirection. For instance no matter what information you enter into
the prescreening form the site always recommends the same auction listing "Job"
and the ticker still says there're only 3 positions remaining.
When you do further research on this website you'll find out the truth about
them and their so called Auction Listing Agent position.
So What is WorkatHomeRecruiters.com Really Selling...?
For starters this site is a near word for word rip-off of an already
existing pseudo scam called Auction Work at Home. There're some minor
differences in wording and they've changed the name of the program's creator
from Cathy Banks to Emily Thomas but it's still an obvious copy
cat site.
They're also selling the program for a hundred dollars less, but aside from
these minor changes it's virtually the same course with a new name.
Proof That Work at Home Recruiters is Really Just a New Face on
an Old Site.....

(Click to Enlarge)At first I thought
that workathomerecruiters.com was run by the same people who created the
original program. It's very common for these types of businesses to
change the name and look of their product when unfavorable reviews start to
hurt sales. However, a WhoIs search revealed that the owner of
workathomerecruiters.com is a company called NSA Technologies LLC.
This company has been behind some popular work at home programs such as: Automated Wealth System, MakeMoneyTakingSurveys.org, Underground Cash Secret,
and many more now defunct sites. These past programs were not downright
scams as they did operate within legal boundaries however, you'll be hard
pressed to find any favorable reviews or positive feedback from their former
customers.
So is the Actual Auction Listing Program by Work at Home
Recruiters a Scam...?
Again the course is not a complete scam but the advertising for it is
completely misleading. The entire purpose of the Work at Home
Recruiters website is to make folks feel like they're applying for a real
job. Everything from the name of the site to the language they use in
their promotions is intended to create the illusion of a real job.
In reality this is a course in Dropshipping and selling items on eBay...Working for yourself. They also leave out the fact that in addition to the
$97 fee for the materials the course is based around a subscription to Doba,
which will cost you additional reoccurring monthly fees.
Doba is simply a website where users come to search for the cheapest drop
shippers around for products they wish to sell. The idea is to
find items under retail price and auction them off at a profit.
You can make money this way and there're people who do this as a profession,
however you can forget about this listing agent position as it's a complete
fabrication. This is not an easy way to make money as you always have to
be in search of better deals and keep an eye on the competition from under
cutting your listings.
I would recommend using caution when dealing with this company they don't
have a great customer service record and employ unethical business methods.

Brian Ohio | 8:05am on July 8th, 2010 | You are partially correct in what you say. Here is where you are wrong with, "They also leave out the fact that in addition to the $97 fee for the materials the course is based around a subscription to Doba, which will cost you additional reoccurring monthly fees." If you actually read the terms of agreement, "the huge list of small print that almost noone reads," it is clearly stated that you will be charged monthly (until you catch on) and stop all charges to the credit card number you so willingly gave them. They know all the tricks to get your money and stay out of jail, scam or not. They are good crooks because of all the money they are making. |
Savannah Illinois | 10:55pm on June 12th, 2010 | I was almost convinced to spend $97 on this mess. My first thought was "Yeah, I can do this and I am glad my second thought was to Bing the company. Boy, am I glad I did. Thank you all for your frankness and thanks for keeping a senior citizen on a fixed income from making a BAAAD mistake.Good luck to all of you trying to get a refund. |
Albert Meintjes South Africa | 7:46am on February 8th, 2010 | Can anyone please supply me with the tel.no. for workathomerecruiters.com. I am trying to get a refund as the $97 I paid is 1/4 of my monthly pension. The number they gave me does not exist. |
Ken Canada | 10:39am on October 23rd, 2009 | RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK!
This is a scam that preys on people while they're at their lowest! I only wish I had found this page before shelling out money I can't afford to lose.
I tried to phone their so-called Customer Care Centre to get my refund, but was informed by a recording that "this number is not available in your area". I am infuriated, but not surprised! So, in the meantime, I contacted them via email, but haven't heard back yet. If I ever receive my refund I'll update here. |
brock dover ohio | 10:43pm on October 8th, 2009 | I USE TO WORK FOR THEM AND THEY TREATED THERE WORKERS LIKE THEY DO THERE CUSTOMERS , IT DOESN'T WORK AND I WISH I KNEW THAT BEFORE I STARTED I WOULD OF NEVER SOLD ANYTHING AND TOOK PEOPLE MONEY, ITS BAD ENOUGH TO FIGURE IT OUT WHEN U GOT SCAMMED BUT ITS WORSE WHEN U FIGURE IT OUT WHEN U WORK THERE AND U FIND OUT THE TRUTH WHEN U SOLD TO ABOUT 90 PEOPLE I WISH I HAD THE MONEY TO GIVE BACK TO THE PEOPLE , TO THE PEOPLE I SOLD TO I AM VERY SORRY. |
M South | 7:47pm on October 4th, 2009 | Program Rating = None. It seemed appropriate for this weary soul. I should imagine there is a site to help investigate this further. Maybe a blog to read more complaints regarding 'good vs evil'. It is difficult to separate the legit offers from the junk email arriving in one's box. I will 'site' this, time and again, looking for new information. Thank you for listening. Good luck to all who have not received a refund. |
angelboo ohio | 12:22pm on October 3rd, 2009 | Thanks for all the responses! Something told me to do some research on this because I too thought it sounded to good to be true, it definitely sounded like the makings of a scam. I'm so glad I did! |
nelda corpus christi,tx | 12:38am on October 2nd, 2009 | thank god for people who put this info in here . some of us don't have the money we borrow to try and get ahead, and then you have these sorry low life scammers. i dont know how they can live a happy every day life . they probably constantly on the run , constantly looking over their shoulder, and surely have no phone for all scamming they do. anyways i can honestly say they didn't get me thanks for this site. i'm glad i took the time to look it up. Austin Liverpool | 10:25am on September 28th, 2009 | Many thanks for the review. My finger hovered over the mouse button for about 5 secs, then thought should check it out elsewhere, and glad I did....
You guys certainly saved me money I can ill afford to lose, let alone the mental anguish, thanks again |
K. Retherford Auburn Hills, MI | 11:05pm on September 24th, 2009 | Now I really feel the egg on my face! Not only did I shell out the $97, I also paid $197 for some 16 CDs to get "inside info" on big tips to selling on EBay, all under the "Emily Thomas" guise.
HOWEVER - it didn't end there. I almost was suckered into paying them $14,030, BY CREDIT CARD (they call this using leveraged money) for supposedly becoming one of their "fast track selling team" having them hold my hand to get my "business" up and running an able to pay THAT off within 3 to 6 months.
I consider myself fairly intelligent until now! Thank goodness that "purchase" was denied and I was able to come to my senses and cancel the card. I thought I asked all the right questions too - like asking about BBB, what was in it for them, etc. I was given the BBB entry for "eVortex LLC" which the BBB gave an A+ rating. Then it occurred to me to Google Emily Thomas.
I wonder if I can get back my initial $294 back! Maybe by disputing the charges?
Wish my "brains" would have kicked in to google Emily BEFORE I shelled out the moola - I too am unemployed at the moment.
Thanks for all the comments. It is sad that things like this go on - I can hear "them" now (because the call was recorded): "We didn't promise you anything but to 'coach' you to making an internet business successful.
Funny, I called the "Sr. Director" back using the number he gave me to sucker me in and left a message that I had a few more questions and to call me back - it hadn't been 15 minutes when I last talked to him. Of course, it's now 2 hrs later and he hasn't called me back!
I too am looking for a legitimate work at home job! |
Kono Arizona | 11:22am on September 22nd, 2009 | No Contact Address, No Phone Number on Web site....Smell Dead Fish!!! It's Scam!!!! Couldn't check with BBB. Don't Pay a penny!!! |
Christine London, UK | 1:37am on September 22nd, 2009 | As most of you, I am looking for ways to make an extra income from home so that I can quit my job by the end of the year. I was ready to give it a go, although I wasn't really sure whether this program was genuine or not. THANK YOU for posting this! I do believe that working from home is the way to go so any suggestions are more that welcome. |
Gail Canada | 9:52pm on September 20th, 2009 | Thanks for the info. I, like so many others, am desperately seeking employment from home. Something legitimate... I'm not looking for a get rich quick scheme.... just to make an honest living and do an honest days work... Almost fell for this one........ |
Gabrielle United Kingdom | 9:56am on September 20th, 2009 | I am always looking at ways to make extra cash and don't mind putting in the work, you get nothing without effort. Always be suspicious of any site that asks for money for this kind of service. If these schemes really worked they would not ask for a fee until you made some money as they would be confident of it working. Unfortunately in desperate times we all hope to find a scheme that will 'save' us, I've wasted loads of cash in the past. Good luck with your ventures and be careful. |
frank ayala parlin,nj | 4:04pm on September 12th, 2009 | i was reading the site this morning and right now im in a really bad spot desperate for work and money so i read the entire page saying to myself if i get 13$ for every listing i do i would be on the grind all the time to make money but like the facebook add another scam ... the reason why i was thinking of doing it is because there are people out there who do work from home and make a really good living if any body knows where something like that is let me know... |
David Ottawa | 3:20pm on September 10th, 2009 | Thanks for this, as with others you have saved me $97. Does any know of any work at home programs that do work well? |
Nicole NC | 9:04pm on September 9th, 2009 | AS everyone has stated, THANKS for adding your notes in regards to this Scam. I think they messed up by making it sound TOO good, the woman is a millionaire?? Then they state she is known as the #1 work at home,etc..etc...If she's known as the #1 work at home opportunity then you should be able to do a Google search and see great reviews..but instead if you do a search you find out that it is a scam...ALWAYS look into internet business.. |
