MXWRK Reviews – Legit or Scam?

April 20th, 2015  |  Published in Make Money Online

MXWRK, found online at, is a company that says they have access to “free money” and can pay people up to $1 per day for doing absolutely nothing, and more if they are willing to do small tasks.

In order to keep this promise, this website provides their members with two separate and individual ways of earning money. The first is provided through marketing research while the second is provided through crowdsourcing.

Customers who are curious about these earnings opportunities can sign up for MXWRK completely for free – there are no sign up or registration fees whatsoever. However, in order to get paid by this company, you must have a PayPal account.

How Does It Work?

When MXWRK says you can earn “free money,” what they really mean is that you can download a toolbar to add to the Firefox internet browser. You then leave this toolbar open when you do anything on this browser, and this company will collect data about what you search for it, how you search for it, what websites you visit, how much time you spend there, and anything else they can get from your online activity.

Companies are willing to pay large amounts of money for this data, and the money they earn is returned to you payments of a few cents each day, sometimes as much as $1 a day.

The second way you can earn money is through crowdsourcing, which is the term used when people are asked to do small, simple, basic tasks in exchange for payments between 5 cents and 20 cents, depending on the work.

Is MXWRK Legit?

The two ways that this company offers people to earn money are both legitimate ways to earn money. Companies will pay for data on how you search and browse and behave online, and companies will also pay money for people to do small, relatively effortless tasks.

The question then becomes whether or not this company pays each day like they say they do, and whether or not this company pays enough to make it worth your effort. A quick review of what people are saying about this company online makes it appear that they really do pay the way they say they do, and as far as competitive earnings are concerned, customers can compare them to some other industry leaders, like Amazon Mechanical Turk, Lionbridge, and other micro jobs companies.

It should also be mentioned, however, that there are complaints online about how this company now has so many members and has marketed itself so widely that it has become difficult to make money by sharing this opportunity.

Lionbridge Technologies Reviews – Legit or Scam?

October 2nd, 2013  |  Published in Make Money Online

Lionbridge Technologies is a crowdsourcing company which says that they provide a global, mobile, and connected marketplace so people can be a part of a work at home, virtual workforce, with a flexible schedule. says that they currently employ over four thousand people across twenty-six different countries who are supported by thousands of their crowdsourcing independent contractors.

People who are interested in contributing to the Lionbridge crowdsourcing workforce can do so without paying any sort of membership fees or sign up fees. There is, however, an application process that you must complete.

How It Works

Crowdsourcing is when a company takes a job they need completed and breaks it into small, easily manageable tasks which can be quickly and efficiently completed by a group of workers, rather than by one person.

There is a wide variety of work that you can do in the Lionbridge crowdsourcing environment, including jobs like an Internet Assessor, Content Judge, Ad Assessor, Crowd Worker, Social Media Assessor, and more.

Some jobs will be paid on a task basis, while others will be paid per hour, depending on the type of job it is. Also payment will differ depending on your country of residence, so Lionbridge employees who move states of residence will need to reapply from their new country.

Things to Consider

There have been complaints regarding crowdsourcing and the low levels of pay for the tasks that you complete. If you are interested in this job opportunity, there are certain things you need to do in order to qualify for higher paying jobs.

First, before you can qualify to work for Lionbridge, you must take qualifying exams that assess your skills. Take these exams very seriously – the better you do, the more jobs and higher pay you will be qualified for.

Second, once you do begin work at Lionbridge, do not take for granted the simplicity of the tasks. If you do not successfully or accurately complete a task, your ranking will fall and you may not qualify for higher paying jobs.

In general, crowdsourcing may be an effective way of earning a supplemental income, though new reports coming out are showing that it may be a difficult way to earn a livable wage. If you are interested in this kind of work, it may benefit you to sign up at many different crowdsourcing employers to give yourself the best possible chance of earning.

Mobile Applications: The New Money Making Market

July 2nd, 2013  |  Published in Make Money Online

The online world moves faster than television, media, or radio – faster than any other medium we have. This speed brings incredible benefits – the use of Twitter during natural disasters has helped rescue teams and media providers better respond to the crises and the people suffering through them.

But as many people who have experience with online business know, the speed of the internet also makes it possible for people with scam business opportunities to get in, make a lot of money, and get out, leaving many innocent people broke and unhappy. That’s why Reviewopedia even exists: to identify these questionable companies and outright scams, and give people a place to help each other out when dealing with them.

What to Watch For Now

Currently there is a whole new market being accessed and targeted by entrepreneurs: mobile applications. In fact, cell phones are quickly becoming the most popular way to access the internet. Some quick facts on cell phone and internet usage:

  • Almost 90% of adults own a cell phone, and nearly 60% of them use their phones on a daily basis to access the internet
  • 1 in 4 young people say they are mostly cell phone internet users
  • 50% of smart phone owners spend an average of one hour a day on the internet

Most people who live in well populated, metropolitan areas don’t realize that much of the United States and worldwide cell phone users have an easier time accessing the internet from their phone than from a home computer. This has made mobile applications the newest way for businesses and business opportunities to reach their consumers.

Money Making Apps

So far, most of the money making applications that are available are based on the concept of network marketing. This means that there is a product (usually the application itself) they want you to buy and to sell to others. You will make a commission on the sales you make to others, but once the people you have sold the app to also begin selling it, you can often earn a percentage of their commissions as well.

A good example of this is Solavei. This is actually a new contract free cell phone service that you can sign up for. But once you have signed up, you can use their app to share the opportunity with friends and family, and once you have recruited a certain amount of members, you will not only receive your cell service for free, but you can earn extra money each month as well.

Another app which claims to be a money earning opportunity is Rippln. This app says their users can play games for rewards, as well as have access to a host of different ways to earn money through sharing and promoting the application to new users.

But money making apps carry the same risks as traditional online money making opportunities. Generally they require some sort of fee, sometimes even monthly subscription fees, so if you are not successful at signing up a wide volume of new users, you often end up losing money on the deal.

In addition, there have been some money making applications appearing on the market that are just as unethical as many online scams. Apps which “promise” they’ll help you make money, but give no real details or explanation as to how their system works or what you’ll be doing. Regardless of whether you find a business opportunity online or in your app store, if they ask for money without giving you details it is probably an opportunity you should avoid.

Money Saving Apps

When people usually think of “making money” online, they imagine ways of generating brand new income. But the truth is that some of the best ways to “make money” is to find original and unique ways of saving the money you already have, and mobile applications are giving us many new and different ways to do that.

The best part of money saving apps is that many of them are free – since they receive commissions or payments from the retailers they partner with, their main goal is just to access the widest audience possible, and they do so by simply letting you download their application with no fees.

Money saving apps come in many different forms. Barcode Scanner, RedLaser, and QuickMark are all applications that let you scan the barcodes of items you are considering purchasing, and they will search their systems to let you know what other on and offline retailers have that same item and at what price so you can always get the best deal.

Shopkick is an application which acts similar to a loyalty rewards program. They are partnered with over 7000 retailers who will give you rewards points every time you visit their store, even if you don’t make a purchase, though you will get extra points whenever you do make a purchase. These points can eventually be placed toward the purchase price of an item at these same retailers.

And these aren’t your only options. There’s Ibotta, which will help you save money on groceries, and MoviePass, which help you save money on movies. There are also many apps which located the gas stations with the best gas prices in your area. Even some major retailers like Target are issuing their own mobile applications which will give access to special, limited time mobile coupons that regular shoppers won’t have.

The Final Word

Though money making apps can come with the same dangers and pitfalls of online money making opportunities, there is such a wide range of free and cheap money saving apps out there that it is almost silly to not take advantage of them.

While these apps can’t replace your day job, with very little effort they may go a long way towards helping you stretch your budget to pay down debt or to pay for those little extras you haven’t been indulging in.

April 10th, 2012  |  Published in Make Money Online is a website that tries to combine entertainment with the ability to earn a bit of extra money online. The games are based on chance and are easy to play. The company claims that on an average day they give out 1,000’s in cash prizes.

The system is based on a token economy; you need tokens to play the games and attempt to win the cash prizes. When you first create an account you will have five days of “free” tokens, all you have to do is view a handful of advertisements and offers from CashDazzle’s sponsors.

Once you exhaust your supply of free tokens you will have to actually participate in the offers in order to get more tokens and keep yourself playing long enough to win the prizes.

Is a Scam?

The main thing to keep in mind about sites like these is to be very careful about what offers and subscriptions you join. Make sure to read the terms and conditions of every offer that you are considering.

The reason for this is that many are trial offers, meaning that after a certain period of time you will be billed a monthly charge for the continual use of the product, or be signed up to automatically receive more of it.

The other thing to watch out for is the privacy policy of CashDazzle. On their website they state the following:

“We may sell personally identifiable information you supply to us to selected third parties for direct marketing purposes. These businesses may include providers of direct marketing services via telemarketing, direct mail, SMS messaging and other types of direct marketing.”

While the company is not a scam, it’s very clear that by participating in their “free” games you are opening yourself up to a whole slew of advertisements. If you’re ok with that and believe it’s a fair trade for the chance to win cash prizes then feel free to play the games.
