uBid.com is a traditional auction site with a wide variety of items being auctioned, from collectibles and fine art to electronics and jewelry.

Unlike many newer auction sites, uBid is not a penny auction site. You will never be required to prepay for bids, or to pay to bid at all. You only pay the site if you have the winning bid in an auction.

However, you do have to register a Credit Card with the site before you begin bidding, to ensure that you will honor any winning bids that you do have. After you win, you will be required to pay any necessary shipping fees in addition to your winning bid.

uBid offers a variety of auctions, in addition to a variety of products: Dollar Auctions, where the bidding begins at $1 for each item, and Mega Auctions, where certain in demand items are being auctioned off.
