I am on my way
To all readers. I am from Australia and I am two weeks into the program and have lost 1600 gm ( around 3.5 pounds) without actually trying! I am very excited about this (so far)!!
Stick to it
I feel better. Sugar level is controlled. And now I can wear my old clothes. I really don’t understand why ppl are complaining, I guess it worked for me. For the ppl who are disappointed, just stick to it and I’m sure you will see results at the end.
I am worried I will be ripped off for $104.00! I am trying to get a refund, but no one is responding I should have known better I'm praying for a refund as I can not afford to just throw away over a hundred dollars!
Waste of Money
Joined in the post Christmas guilt trip. The marketing was very good and it's interesting to see that it works for some people. Good on them that they have the persistence to make something of the little bit that this diet club offers. After joining I printed off a spiel which was just the sort of diet advice you can find everywhere. Then tried to tailor- make a diet according to something I downloaded - it was impossible to get a proper diet out of it if you live in Britain - many of the foods mentioned are not a normal part of what we can buy in the shops. Had not even heard of some of the food. .Perhaps we call them something else but there's no guidance if that is the case. Had a look into it all in the first week after joining and then gave up. Every now and again I get emails with strange advice. Three months in I'm not even opening them. I've been in the Tesco diet club in the past and found it much more useful than this.
The benefits of the program are great, my blood sugars are doing much better, I have more energy, I finally feel like I can run up the stairs now!
If it sounds too good to be true, it definitely is!
I figured I haven't been scammed in a while, so I clicked the ad with the rotting banana, just curious what they could possibly have to say about bananas lol. I sat through most of the video, the whole time wondering when are they going to get to the part where they want our money? Ah, there it is! (Yes, I was bored). You don't expect they're going to tell you the last 2 foods to NEVER EAT without throwing the sales pitch in there, do you!? I mean, the narrator sounds like a nice lady, and why shouldn't you believe she's a real nutritionist? The internet never lies!!
Every time you see something online telling you they have found a way to lose weight that you've never heard of before, go to google and type in the name of the program with the word "scam" after it. There, I just saved you a ton of money. Now, get off your butt and exercise and stop eating such a ridiculous number of calories every day. Self-control, people! That's all you need!
60 days money back
Advertisement is part of the game in this day and age. I watched the 5 foods video after being directed from a news website and I said why not and gave the club a try.I like the idea and I joined because there is a 60 day money back guarantee. So why not...
Being a gluten-free eater finding a program that fits my eating preferences is too DIFICULT ! I was introduced to the TDC from my nutrionist. She came across the diet online and found a lot of principles that were similar to her ideals. There’s a lot of new information to absorb which was daunting to say the least but it’s all starting to make sense. Will let you know.
I just became a new mom and thank god for that. I have a new princess in the house. After giving birth to my baby I gained weight. I really wanted to go back to wearing my old jeans. I joined the Trim Down Club in the beginning of January after I realized I wanted to lose the extra weight. I’m feeling really good about my life and full of energy.
My husband has a weight problem since he was involved in an accident. I heard about the Trim Down Club from a family friend and I made the decision to register my husband. I’m so happy he decided to participate and tackle his weight loss problem. It works.
Very valid facts in the video
Yes, the video is long and a bit drawn out but most of it is very accurate and dispels lots of common myths. There is a very well respected doctor in the US who has an amazing website (http://www.mercola.com) and yes, whilst he does also sell products, he isn't in the pockets of the big pharmaceutical companies and huge food manufacturers. I've read things in Dr Mercola's newsletters ages ago which then appear in the mainstream media or on documentaries like Panorama or Despatches, ages later.
I did actually notice he was mentioned as a source for some of the material and the info in the presentation echoed much of what he states. (Incidentally, I only found out about Dr Mercola from a friend who runs a blog dedicated to a healthy lifestyle - I don't have anything to gain from mentioning him. I have been to a nutritionist's presentation at a local health shop and she also mentioned him. He has a huge following in the US and here and, no doubt, worldwide.)
I don't know anything about the Trim Down Club itself or whether it works but I do agree with most, if not all of what was on the presentation. If you're only encouraged, rather than forced, to buy their products, then I'd say it's probably fine and if it promotes fresh and (even better) organic food, then you're likely to be on the right path. Organisations such as Weight Watchers and Tesco's slimming club also encourage you to buy their food products and they're mostly processed food, so I know which one I'd go for, if (and I don't know if they are) Trim Down Club is encouraging you to eat "proper" food.
Much of what the FDA and mainstream health advice ISN'T actually correct and Dr Mercola challenges that with proven science and experts reporting on their area of medicine. Don't forget that the huge companies and pharmaceutical companies are out to make money. So if you're getting addicted to the chemicals they put in your food or if your medicine is only treating you, rather than curing you, that's keeping their shareholders very happy and that's all their interested in. If you think that these companies are kept in line with strict regulations (let's not start talking about horsemeat) and not powerful enough to influence organisations that we trust to regulate them, then you're unfortunately very much mistaken. They're all money-making organisations with shareholders to keep on board and that is their sole goal.... not your health or well-being, as lovely as it would be to think they have OUR interests at heart.
I liked it until I realized it was all about a sale.
Give more nutritional information and less sale for your organization or list it as an advertisement.
It seems to me that the site is updated all of the time. I love the articles. Each one has something new and they are easy to read unlike other clubs I’ve been a part of in the past. So far so good ! I have lost 8 pounds in three weeks time and I wake up feeling great. No looking back for me. Just straight ahead. I want to lose another 6 pounds before the summer months. The way it looks I’ll be on the beach and not afraid to show off my body. All in all the Trim Down Team really guides you and to that I will always appreciate.
So, I joined trim down club and so far the program is treating me good.
I am losing weight and feeling great. But I do have a question… Did someone here get the advanced package? I am happy with the regular and I want to get the advanced now.
Trim Down Club wants to sell products, not provide new information
I am very disappointed in this program. I should have known when they were already up selling from the application form. The last straw was this week when I would have to purchase a $30 book to find out what foods are worst to eat and why. All you get for the initial fee is a gateway for Trim Down to keep selling. The basic information provided is a rehash of conventional ideas that most people concerned about their weight already know through the media for free.
BEWARE refund Not possible
There is no way to make contact with the club other than through their "contact us" option online and it is impossible to get the online system to recognie the code you have submited is correct. They are VERY VERY clever to OFFER a full refund (that is how confident they are you CANNOT submit one!!!) because you can Never again make cointact with them!! FTC PLEASE investigate this Group!!!! ALL others stay away Unless you do Not know how to eat at all.
I stopped using the program only because I got injured.
But I have to say that they were amazing with the process of refunding me. Because they care!
If you sit and eat you will lose weight slower, if you exercise and eat you will lose weight faster.
That’s the only thing I need to say! I tried both and tdc did work!
The articles that come with this program are really helpful. Plus the tdc team seem to update them weekly.
I really like the diet journal. It is like having a personal diary.
I didn’t believe I would wake up every morning and update my journal.
With that, at the end of the week I can see my progress.
During the first 2 weeks I didn’t lose any weight but I have to say that since the beginning of Jan I feel a lot healthier, which is the most important thing.
