TheOnlineBusiness.com Reviews
Legit or Scam?
TheOnlineBusiness.com
is a website by Rob & Teresa Stump which
they use to market a home based business
opportunity. However, on their website
they don't tell you what the business is,
only that you can make a six figure income
and quit your day job.
They do sell a success package for $39.95
(+ $9.95 S&H) which is supposed to provide
you with more thorough instructions and
detail about your new business. It
turns out what they're doing is recruiting
people into a well known
multi-level-marketing company called
Herbalife.
If you've never heard of them, Herbalife
sells a variety of Health and Personal care
products through a network of independent
distributors. Along with sales, like
all MLMs, this business has an element of
recruiting to it.
The success stories that they always show
you are folks that either got in real early
or have grown massive down lines. So The Online
Business provides you
info on how to get started and have success
with Herbalife.
I tend to stay away from multi level
marketing opportunities, even though some of
these companies make great alternative
products the fact is the MLM business model
is not profitable. There're plenty of
people that will have you believe otherwise
but you can get the truth for yourself.
Due to past lawsuits dealing with over
exaggerated income claims MLM companies are
required to post an up-to-date listing of
their yearly payouts. These charts
show you how the profit was distributed
among independent distributors.
The pattern looks the same for almost
every company, less than 5% of all
distributors are making any profit.
This doesn't mean that you don't have any
chance of making money with Herbalife &
TheOnlineBusiness.com but that the majority
of people involved aren't.

Tom Massachusetts | 6:37am on April 26th, 2012 | I received an e mail from my parent's e mail address this morning with a link to this outfit's website. I was immediately suspicious, as my parents are normally intelligent about what and whom they become involved with, and since this website seemed to be very short on facts and long on sleazy hype. Thank you to all who have posted here and to those who have shared their experiences. You have done a real service to any and all who might be tempted to give this thing a try. |

Lynn NE | 7:03pm on April 2nd, 2012 | The Herbal life products are good. But the cost that goes with running the business is another story. They say it only cost to start up and you only pay a small fee each month for the website. The fee is $80.00 a month and they don't inform you about the fact you have to pay $120.00 to $300.00 for like 10 leads a month. Plus they try to get you to pay for the supervisor package which is $4000.00 and when you want to cancel the website with Online Business Systems they have no where to do it or instructions on how to do it. And some of the distributors/coaches are really rude and lie about the cost. |
Trixy Hobitses Middle Earth | 2:54pm on March 20th, 2012 | You gotta be kidding me, they told me
I would get seven websites for 400 bucks.
Didn't they used to be free?
Please return the package to OBS:

Took me a min to find this.
It took me a sec to avoid.
glad I read this article today.. |
craig c Location unknown | 2:52pm on February 7th, 2012 | so many people looking for honest work. not looking for the "get rich quick", just wanting to make the bills and create a little better quality of life. it's almost valentines day. line them up in a garage. worked for AL. |
Jill Spruce Grove, AB | 8:42pm on November 11th, 2011 | RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! I got involved with this same organization about 5 years ago and cannot believe they are still sending out the same "training package". I used to have the website where you could order it online too then try to call you up and convince you to join me in beating your head against the wall selling CHEMICAL and UNHEALTHY Herbalife products!! Anyone want some free ones?
I have boxes of them in my basement that I spent over $4,000 on trying to get a higher income from the apparent "business opportunity"! YAH right! I wish my parents would have talked to me about MLM companies, Herblife, Amway, etc. as I had never heard of them being raised in a fairly affluent home.
If you want to be a real hands-off business owner then invest your money in a kiosk or vending machine. That's what I'm doing now 5 years later I am finally starting to get back on my feet from the thousands of dollars lost to "hope" in this company! |
Stev right here | 1:12am on August 22nd, 2011 | what a crock of garbage!!!! i truly am sorry for the people who get involved with this, it sure sounds tempting until ya start checking it out, and all ya hear is "OH MY GOSH, its wonderful and i can stay at home with my 83 kids all day now and make soooooo much money" THANK GOD i found this website |
Lee Michigan | 11:36am on August 18th, 2011 | I am sorry to say that I was a real idiot to get in bed with this outfit. The $400.00 distributor kit is only a drop in the bucket. Wait until they drop the $4000.00 Supervisor package then $3000.00 a month to buy leads which most are useless. And they tell you that this should be done in 8 days, it is there 8 day rule. Then the $80.00 a month charge to keep the web site going, just to see the same people say how much money that THEY made. If you get a call from this outfit RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION, FAST AND DON'T LOOK BACK. |
Michelle J Michel TX | 7:17pm on May 25th, 2011 | Did the initial $9.95 ... awaiting my "mentor" call. Will NOT be signing up with this one! Thanks! |
Scottie MD | 3:49pm on December 8th, 2010 | Thanks for posting the truth. Saw their website and wondered why the hell I couldn't figure out what it was selling. |
Abdul-Hakeem Chicago, IL | 5:23pm on June 1st, 2010 | after blindly ordering the introductory package for $9.95, I realized that there was an additional charge of $30 only after receiving the worthless information package. contacting someone about sending back was virtually impossible. Don't waste your time! |
peggy florida | 2:11pm on March 13th, 2010 | Does anyone have the correct address to return the packet to before you get charged the $39.95? I too wish I had the info on this Review site before I ordered the worthless kit. Besides Herbalife has safety issues--too much lead in the products-I wouldn't want to be responsible for selling that stuff to anybody |
bridgett Texas | 4:27pm on September 1st, 2009 | I ordered my packet last week and I'm still waiting for it. I wish I came across this site earlier. I had a gut feeling about it and I wish I would of listened to it. |
Terk Madcity | 2:59pm on August 2nd, 2009 | Thanks everyone for taking the time to post here...it helped me avoid getting involved. I really appreciate the candid info.
Take care all! |
bill MO | 6:55pm on May 3rd, 2009 | I ordered this darn onlinebusiness package for $9.99 up front. I did not realize it was promoting Herbal life or I would not have ordered it. The package is very generic, does not give any info about the company nor the system or way you make money. Just some damn testomonies. I sent mine back and threatened them not to charge my card for the additional $39.99. It was crap in my opinion.

Charley Columbia, SC | 2:03am on March 28th, 2009 | Thanks for the information - something the darn "Virtual Agent" wouldn't spit out. Like heck I'm going to give them $10 much less $40 when they won't even give me a darn job description! |
your kidding arent you? everywhere | 9:36am on January 1st, 2009 | You have to be a complete idiot to get involved in one of these scams................ |
Thomas Frustrated | 4:30pm on May 4th, 2008 | Worthless from beginning to end...You get ABSOLUTELY nothing for your $40 except endless rants about the program (testimonials)..in addition of getting SPAMMED to death from them about other worthless programs.
So avoid them like a plague...since that is all you will get! |
Chanah NY | 1:50pm on April 12th, 2008 | I paid, $395.00 + $39.95 + $9.95(SH) for the entire program, the $39.95 was for the booklets and a CD featuring some of their "success" stories, the pamphlet was to make the "prospect" eager and willing to be part of the program, the $395 was for the star up kit, (kanvas bag, along with an assortment of different herbal life products, and the $9.95 was for S&H..
I was lied to, during the initial phone call, I did ask specifically if there would be sales involvement, (I was in Amway once) that required a lot of sales on my part! I didn't want the same. My "coach" told me, oh no, no sales!! I was taken, hook-line and sinker! A LOT OF SALES are required, it is the same pyramid scheme, I was out of over
$400.00, and yes, I felt foolish! The worst part of that business, was, I needed to sign up other "fools" like me, thanks, but no thanks! Can't, and will not do that! Another scam!..well if not scam, not very honest practice! I need the truth, not lies! Good thing that I read about the "rebate" scheme on time! Good grief, thank Steve for your concern and your vigilance! Maybe they are some honest people left in this world after all!! Praise G-d for that!
Respectfully yours,
Chanah :) |
