Rebate Processing From Home Jobs

Legit or Scam?

Rebate Processing jobs are the latest work from home opportunities hitting the net.  Before you came to my website you probably saw ads on Google, Yahoo, MSN like this:

  • Rebate Processing At Home. Make Up To $250+ Per Day - 100% Money Back Guarantee - Join Today!
  • At Home Rebate Processing. It's This Simple 20 Rebates a Day = $109,500 a Year! 100% Guarantee.
  • Process Rebates From Home. Earn $15 on each rebate processed! Start earning today.

These types of ads have been plastered all over the internet to lure people into joining online rebate processing programs.  I personally even get advertisements like this from spam emails in my inbox.

Rebate processing jobs are so effectively advertised that many people gladly pay the upfront costs believing that they will recoup that money within days of working. Others would probably pay even more for the opportunity since it actually seems like a really great way to make money from home.

So What's the Deal, Are 'Rebate Processing Jobs' Legit?

In a word? No!   I haven't found a 'single rebate processing job' that's legitimate.  In fact there is no such thing as a rebate processing jobs!  That's right, no such thing.  Someone simply made it up and started charging $197 for it.

What you see advertised online are internet marketing opportunities cleverly disguised as rebate processing jobs.  They make you pay for a system that tells you to become an affiliate for a variety of info products and offer part of your sales commissions as the rebate.

    Let Me Explain...

The way that it works is that you're simply told to go sell products by offering a discount on the price of the product, which she calls a rebate.

So let's say you start promoting an ebook online that costs $40 and pays 50% commission.  You'll offer a rebate of $5 on the book.  When someone buys the book you'll earn 50% of $40, or $20, and after you pay your customer the $5 rebate you're left with a profit of $15.

This is how  you'll be able to 'earn $15 per rebate processed!'  Although this method is not exactly as advertised it may still sound pretty easy to do right?  Wrong!

The only way for you to get people to notice your rebate offer will be to advertise it on the major search engines like Google and Yahoo.  This will cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars every single month, and unless you're and experienced marketer you're likely not to make enough sales to turn a profit.

So basically, you're not paying for a Rebate Processing Jobs but for a sales strategy that can be applied to affiliate marketing.  It is possible to make money with this method but it requires money to invest as you will be paying close to one dollar every time somebody clicks on your advertisement.  Within one day this can quickly add up to you spending $40 - $60 if you don't know what you're doing.

Look at the various ads carefully, you'll see that the "check" they refer to all come from ClickBank. This should tell you everything what the program is all about. You are selling ClickBank affiliate products and you are being paid by ClickBank.

You can make a living by processing rebates from home. I used to do it. However, you should never pay a fee to get started. I went through a legit company that was well known in the area and they paid me $8/hour to attend their 2-day training. They ended up outsourcing the work to a different state - not sure where but I'm thinking Texas. I'm currently looking for another job processing rebates but they are few and far between.

I was one of the unfortunates who found out after investing $197...didn't get anything more than a fancy oodles-long how-to process pdf instruction book. It didn't take me long to realize it was yet another scam program.

Now I am starting my own business, no more scams!

Thanks for your informative website. I "almost" paid my $157 to process rebates at home. I did a little checking though and through the Better Business Bureau I found it was not a good idea. I decided to search for rebate processing and magically found your site which gave lots of good leads for legitimate home based data entry and transcription work, most approved by the Better Business Bureau. I am now on my way to being evaluated by several of those sites and will begin making money at home, on my own time thanks to you!! I appreciate the research you have afforded those of us who almost got taken.

I was scammed by Stacia - the $39.97 offer that slams the $157 offer. The support phone is for a balloon company in Miami (LOL)! I used a credit card which I have already canceled. Please beware all. Heed the advise you see here. I didn't look soon enough!

Thanks for the heads up. I have been out of work for a year, and don't have the money to waste on scams. I now live with family and sit at home all day. I use the pc, so why not use it for an income. Do jobs like this really exist.I don't understand how paying someone to give you a job works. The idea of work is to earn money, not give it away.

I was considering sending " Diana DeAngelo" program $ 157.00. Glad I found this site. I looked at a couple of home jobs but they all have a monthly charge. I have been working from home for 3 years and would really like to

I have been receiving e mails from this "Donna DeAngelo" for work as a "Rebate Processor". It sounded great, but read fine print ie liabilities + it stated any liabilities etc are under CYPRUS! Then asked my husband about this + he directed me to this site. SOMETHING needs to be done! Soo wrong, preying on those who REALLY do need $$ + willing to work for it. I feel sorry for anyone taken in by this horrific scam!

Well I got scammed by another program run by Stacia Pizz of Barrington, NH. This lady's website called www.processrebates4cash.com claimed to be the alternative to Angel's program. Instead of the $197 her program offers the same info and work all for the price of $39.97. Thinking it was a great deal, I promptly mailed the $39.97. That was in January of this yaer. I still have not received my money nor the program.

I, too, was scammed by Angela Stevens. I did get several calls from her staff who wanted to be my mentor. However, you were asked the name of your bank, how many accounts you had at this bank, they even went so far as to ask you for your account number. IF this didn't raise a red flag, I must be getting old. Also, they wanted to know the number of credit cards you had, and the amount you owed on each. All I wanted to do was process...not give them my life history. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PROGRAM!! Of course, I let them talk not answering any questions that would bounce back to bite me later. I never got my $197 back either after reading pages and pages of hoopla, and even having to ask for most of it. DO NOT BUY THIS PROGRAM>>BIGGEST SCAM EVER!

I am unemployed and was jut thinking about rebate processing at home to make some extra money. I came across this article and though I knew that rebate processing is a scam and after just receiving a phone call about it, and having to make a financial decision over the phone about this, I am very disappointed, but glad I read your article, thank you so much.

I have to admit, the processing affiliate rebate web site seems legit enough in that you too could make a nice little wage with just 4 hrs. of work or more. I was hopeful it was a good way to make honest money, however, anytime a site wants a large sum of money upfront just to get started... I become skeptical. If you could make so much money, why not set it up where the program is free to get started, then with that so- easy- money you just earned, the amount of the program is taken out of your online account to pay for it. But no one seems to want to do it this way. I assume it's because you can't make the kind of money the site touts you can make! IT'S A SCAM.
I'm unemployed and now a full time student with 4 mouths to feed. I'm struggling financially and was trying to find a ligit way to bring in money with little time involved while working on my Masters.

I'm really glad I came across your site, explaining the latest scam. What I've also found interesting is that a couple of sites I read before this one, also said "read this before you sign up with process affiliate rebate... 98% of online home businesses are a scam....my program is better, I charge only $47 for my money making program..."these sites never went into any detail on how they were scammed or even their experience with the particular money making program at all, it just jumped right into how THEIR program is better etc...
It's so very difficult to find a truly honest money making gig thats online and legit. But I tell you what...If a program asks for money up front, count me out...I have no money to waste and loose...thats food outta my kids mouths. I'll look for one that, if it costs and they're so sure you will make money...then set it up where you (program director) get paid out of the money I make for you (and myself) out of my online accrued wages account.
