Process Rebate Center

...Is Stephanie Edwards' ProcessRebateCenter a Scam?

Process Rebate Center by Stephanie Edwards is a relatively new work from home opportunity.  She claims that her company can set you up with a job getting paid top dollar to simply process rebates at home.

This program sounds like a real job but unfortunately just like with the majority of data entry programs this one's all smoke and mirrors.  After you sign up for $197 you won't get access to a list of companies in need of home workers.

The Process Rebate Center is nothing more than a clever twist on what the data entry programs have been doing for years.  Stephanie simply tells you to start marketing digital products online and offer a rebate on them.

So for instance, if an eBook is selling for $50 with an affiliate program that pays 50% commission they advise you to offer a rebate in the neighborhood of ten bucks.  So, if you get a sale you make ($25 - $10) with a profit of $15.

However, to attract customers to your rebate proposal you will have to advertise on the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN.  This advertising is done on a cost per click basis and if you follow the system you should be prepared to invest several hundred dollars into this.

So basically, you're not paying for a job but for a sales strategy that can be applied to affiliate marketing.  It is possible to make money with this method but it requires money to invest as you will be paying close to one dollar every time somebody clicks on your advertisement.  Within one day this can quickly add up to you spending $40 - $60 if you don't know what you're doing.

I wouldn't call the Process Rebate Center a scam but their advertising is grossly misleading.  Yes it's true that you'll be "Processing Rebates" but that's only after you have spent money, referred a sale, and avoided a refund.

Well it took me a little longer to figure this was a scam.I should have known better. It is to good to be true. There goes 197 dollars I really didn't have. There is nowhere in there advertisment say you would have to sell ANYTHING.They got the last laugh.

I really appreciate the remarks from the people in this program. I did not have the money to waste on these type of programs. I was checking to see if there programs out there to process the rebates from your home and why would I have to pay someone else to get me the information. Do you know if these rebates are processed from individuals from their home and how do you get in contact with companies who use this type of program?

I also, wasted $197.00 on a program. I didn't not received any e-mail or anything on how to get started. But, I signed up with another company who also is doing Rebates Processing. I called my credit card company, trying to get my money back. They said they would call the company to see if they would dispute the claim. I just received a letter from my credit card company and they said I would get a credit on my next bill. These scams need to stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Add me to the sucker list. I was led to believe I would be getting paid to process some company's rebate system for their merchandise sales. Only after paying the $197 I learned this was only true if I spent money to make the sales happen first. This was totally misleading.

It's just unbelievable how these people get away with this. I just received an e-mail offering me this program for $197.00 and I immediately did a check and just as I thought, it brought me to this page. Every one has to do the same thing because you will lose your hard earned money by these scams, I know cause I was scamed a few years back for over $6000.00 (which I didn't get back either)in that paper money scam.

I luckily did not sign up for this when I noticed the person in the chat box was not real. I tried asking questions (I've worked at other online jobs and there was alot of competition for only a few "jobs") and the robot in the chat box could not answer anything. This was the clincher for me so I searched online and found this site.

I probably would not have signed up anyway without talking to a real person first but this site certainly helped me and saved time. Thanks everyone who spent the time to post and warn others, you all rock and I hope you do find a great online opportunity in the future.

They have taken my money and I am pissed. They have put a hold on my checking account for the amount of 197.00 and by doing this I can't get the bank to do anything. As soon as they take it out my bank is going to try and do something for me. I checked the address where you are suppose to get refund if you don't like the program and the address is not even real. I am currently on hold with the number that someone posted as their hrlp line. So far I have heard the same song over 4 times they can't get good music. Oh here comes the song again. If they have charged your bank call and see if there is anything they are will to do.

I too signed up for the Stepahine Edwards Process Rebate Center thinking I would become at home Rebate Processor-I got into the website and downloaded the User Manual and checked out the site no where did it mention anything about the work I was thinking I would be doing but Selling/witht help of ON-lone Auctions turning trash into cash-tthis doesn't sound anything like just processing rebates for companies.

I too got stuck believing that my 197.00 was going to help me get the added cash to supplement my disablilty check. Now I too have to call my bank and see what can be done.

The Process Rebate Center has stole $197.00 from me. Only after I paid them did I find that it was not what it seemed. Not only did they give me the idea that there were thousands of companies that was eager for people to process there rebates, then I find that I have to spend more money for a website and sell products inorder to offer a rebate myself! I paid the money and they were suppose to email me to confirm and be able to log in. That is impossible. The only site that will open is the one that you have to pay before finding out the truth on how it works, then they got you because they won't give your money back unless you go thru the steps including setting up your own website. which can't happen because you can't login. They provide no way of contact on this site. I can't tell them that they did not email me and I cannot login. I feel violated and want my money back. Do Not Fall into this trap!

I had sign-up for $197.00 after signing, I received no respond to get started to process the rebate for 15.00 dollars a rebate I send a couple email I had no answer.

I knew this was too good to be true. therefore, I did not even think of joining. Just know out there that if it was so easy to make money as stated, it would not cost only $200.
Just think about it. the terms for refund as stated read that you cannot get your money back before the 3 months are up. and not after 15 days after. That alone is a heads up. think of all the potential interest on a 3 month cd if just 1000 people fall for this. thats 200,000 at about 5% right there.
this is a money maker, for Stephanie Edwards. noone else

I also signed up for this process rebate center, and am going through the exact same problems as all these other people who wrote these reviews. I'm going to contact the authorities to see if something can be done, and anyone else going through the same thing should do the same.

I too have been taken. I gave them my VISA # and I have no way to "get into" their system. My credit card company says I must dispute the charge once I get my statement. I tried emailing to the support center and my card company gave me 1-800-509-7098 number to call. Which is answered and puts you on hold, never to speak to a real person and after about a minute it goes dead. I am furious at them and myself for being taken.

Once they received you money, you will never hear from them. Their website was just created less than a month ago.

When you use their chat, it is a computer and it does not even answer your question properly.
