Process at Home

...Is Angel Stevens' Process at Home a Scam?

Process at Home (processathome.com) by Angel Stevens is a relatively new work from opportunity.  She claims that her company can set you up with a job getting paid top dollar to simply process rebates at home.

This program sounds like a real job but unfortunately just like with the majority of data entry programs this one's all smoke and mirrors.  After you sign up for $197 you won't get access to a list of companies in need of home workers.

Process at Home is nothing more than a clever twist on what the data entry programs have been doing for years.  Processathome.com simply tells you to start marketing digital products online and offer a rebate on them.

So for instance, if an eBook is selling for $50 with an affiliate program that pays 50% commission they advise you to offer a rebate in the neighborhood of ten bucks.  So, if you get a sale you make ($25 - $10) with a profit of $15.

However, to attract customers to your rebate proposal you will have to advertise on the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN.  This advertising is done on a cost per click basis and if you follow the system you should be prepared to invest several hundred dollars into this.

So basically, you're not paying for a job but for a sales strategy that can be applied to affiliate marketing.  It is possible to make money with this method but it requires money to invest as you will be paying close to one dollar every time somebody clicks on your advertisement.  Within one day this can quickly add up to you spending $40 - $60 if you don't know what you're doing.

I wouldn't call Process at Home a scam but their advertising is grossly misleading.  Yes it's true that you'll be "Processing Rebates" but that's only after you have spent money, referred a sale, and avoided a refund.

I work online with a method where you can make several hundred dollars for a couple hours of work, whenever you have time.

This business is free to join and I won't charge you anything for the information, just let me know where to send you the info, Click Here.

Best of Luck,
Steve Albright

STUPID! Just call me Stupid! I too had some dream of working from home. To Start off maybe making an extra $50.00 bucks a week as my side cash. I did purchase this Now I will be asking for a refund. I should of researched further. It is all true -- Anyone who is considering purchasing this product. If you have been reading these comments from others this program isn't at all about Rebates as it lets on it's more about selling ads. The e-book instructions are not clear and unless you understand computer info/lingo it is hard to follow. You just go deeper in the hole. Legitimate/honest/real and Not a scam are words that programs like this use to prey on sensitive people like "us"/me. "STUPID" Just call me stupid!

I knew it was a scam when I read "Are you almost homeless?" How can an almost homeless person afford $197 to invest in this crap? And if a person were almost homeless, I doubt they'd have internet access anyhow. STAY AWAY! I really hope no homeless people get their hopes up. Very sad.

There are real, FREE businesses to do from home. You just gotta research.

This company is a RIPOFF!!! I signed up, they took my money and gave me a refund. The problem is they charged me TWICE and only gave me ONE refund. I also am reporting them to the BBB. You can never get the same person on the phone, and when I asked to speak to the person I spoke with the last time, they just said there are too many people and my chances of speaking with the same one again is very little. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Luckily, I also thought this was too good to be true, so I attempted to look her up with the BBB, and was unable to find her. Then, when I tried to leave the site, a message box popped up and along with their auto-type answers, they avoided every question about why they weren't registered with the BBB. All they kept saying was, check out our website. Come on, let's get real, once that happened, it was over.

They got me too! Some guy named Charles from Angel Process-at-Home called me randomly 2 times, as I was busy both times he called me I could not chat with him to allegedly begin the set-up process, so we made an appointment time for him to call me later both times. Needless to say I waited patiently for over an hour at both of those pre-arranged appointment times (both last week) and never got a call back from the guy so now I'm going to start the Refund Process, which according to what I'm reading here will be a Major Hassle. I'll add my experience with this Business Opportunity scam as time goes on. I advise keeping a good log of calls, with names, dates, times, and comments exchanged. Thanks all!

I received an email informing me the details of how to cancel this order. It asks to email a specific address including your name, email address and your order ID#.

I have not contacted them yet, but I high suggest for those who do request a refund to email them using your email - as a supporting written document that can be presented that a request has been made.

Based on the reviews I have read so far, it sounds like this program is not organized, and I gaurantee that if you make a call, there will be no supporting documents showing that you made a cancellation. Worst case scenario - if you need to go to court - you have the document of cancellation in writing.

Below is a automatic response by email once an REFUND REQUEST has been made.

Thank you for your email. Your refund request has been received. You will receive an email confirming the refund for your order when the request has been processed.

Please keep in mind that once we have processed your refund the... read more »

Oh I wish I had seen this website before I became just another victim. This place is a scam. DO NOT SIGN UP!! I signed up like a big dummy. The process is completely different than what they want to think it is before you cough up $197. I signed up this afternoon and called this evening to stop payment on my credit card and they are telling me they can't process a refund until the payment goes through. The representative was very rude and hung up on me when I was still asking her questions. I guess I'll be filing a fraud with the credit card company so I can get my money back.

Thank you very much for spending your money and time to creat a review like this to help so many "smarts" or fools. Before reading yours, I have just purchased Angel Stevens "Process At Home program". The misleading is the exact word to describe it,because it sells its program by cheating. Nobody but Angel Stevens group has win-win for themselves, I suspect that they are not only making money by charging $175 from each buyer, but receiving a portion from Google for each click. This is why she offers three month free try, if you don't make any money, you could get your refund. She makes money either way. Unfortunately, some people in this world do not know what is a shame?

My Dad always said, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." His words were all I could hear while reading this joke of an e-mail from Angel (the name should've been my first clue; it just screams IRONY!) Stevens, so I went to my trusty and faithful partner, "Mr. Google", and all was clarified. Thanks to my Father, and Google, I still have $197 in my possession. To those of you who bought into this scam, I am truly sorry that something like this has to happen to people like us. The thing that angers me most of all is that we're most likely all good, decent people, who just want to work hard, just less hours, and yet, make more money so that we can give our family a great life.... who wouldn't want to do that. I pray that all of you find your dreams, and that pot of gold at the end of that rainbow. It's waiting for you.... and don't worry about little Ms. Angel Stevens - God IS watching, and she WILL get hers!!!

I dislike to admit this, but my fiancee and I are also victims of this program. I am a business owner already, but as my father always taught me, it never hurts to have more than one source of income. I bought this program mainly for my fiancee so she could have a little side business of her own to do.

I thought I had completely checked them out, but I was sadly mistaken. I also called the 800 number once I was introduced into the "7 week" training program. I simply told them that was the stupidest thing I had ever heard. I told them that anybody period could do this business, even my 10 year old nephew.

They tried as with all of you to convince me to keep at it for the 7 weeks. I informed them that I had already spoken to my bank and if they did not refund me my money immediately, then my bank had my authorization to launch a criminal fraud investigation towards them, and that I would be contacting the BBB.

Tomorrow will make day 3 since I was told about the refun... read more »

My wife fell for this. Within 24 hours i called to get my money back. I got hung up on several times. Then two people tried to convince me to give it a try. They state that they will refund my money in 5-7 days. I called my CC company and reported it as fraud. They removed it right away. To all of you who can not get your money back you must report it to your credit card and if they are good they will credit your card back. Angel is the biggest scam. And all must report it to the BBB. Thanks to this website I got lucky. There is no good work from home ideas that will not cost you alot of money. Buyer beware.

Does anyone want to - or has anyone - start a class action suit.
This is a total fraud. The first red flag went up when they asked how much i had on my credit cards - private information wouldn't you say. I immediately said I was not interested in their company. I got my money back - but hounded them constantly to receive it.

NOW - as I'm certain you are, too - getting all kinds of calls from related companies related to Angel Stevens - wanting me to do business with them.

I want to THANK YOU ALL for your comments and reviews of this scam. I truly thank you for your stories and saving me $197. I, like many of you, was desperate for extra money and a way out my current, unfilling job. I am usually more wary of "get rich quick" offers, but the ad was so well worded, it seemed like it could be possible. I can't actually afford the $197 now, but I was willing to pay it if I was going to make so much money so quickly. Right before I began filling out the information, I decided to see if this
"Angel" (even her name is a scam!) Stevens was a real person and I came across this website. I feel a great sense of relief that I didn't put in my bank account info. Someone had made a comment about a class action suit and I think you all should definitely look into that. Too many of you have been taken advantage of. THANK YOU all again for your honesty and my sincere hope that all of you are able to get your money back.

Just a little background. I felt like this was too good to be true, but I signed up for $197 offer anyway. Unfortunately, what I received was nothing as to what the details stated on the ad I saw. Basically, the internet ad said I could process rebates in 3 simple steps, yet the information I received were broken in 3 modules, which just gave info on how to display ads on products which after the 7th week, I would be able to process the rebates.

I just called to cancel and refund my money, although I had to talk to 2 different people, who kept trying to hook me in by saying I just needed some private coaching, which I politefully declined. I was informed that my refund should come between 3 and 5 business days, so I'll look forward to see what happens.

I would chalk this up to very misleading, although not sure I could call it a scam, since in all fairness I never really tried out the program.

It took less than a minute to take the $197 out of my account and I am still waiting going into week six to get my refund. I was given five different excuses why I have not received it yet. What ever you do please do not lose any money on this rip off.

Count me in as the suckers who fell for this lie. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It sure couldn't hurt if others do the same. Let's put this farce of a company out of business - this Angel Steven's (angel in devil's clothing maybe) out of business. It isn't difficult to do. Hope we can all get our money back. Thanks, Tina

Definitely a scam. Seriously! No mention whatsoever of the work you paid $197 for. Only trying to switch pitch people to build websites...btw...do you know a decent one can cost minimum of $30,00...and search engine marketing to advertise it...thousands and thousands of $$. i DID get my money back...within a week of my request. i wrote as many people there as possible saying i would contact the authorities and the attorney general's office. it wasn't a breeze getting it credited to my card...but i did it. if anyone starts a class action suit...count me in!!!!!

Chalk up another victim of the Process At Home rip off. Yes, I was taken in by the ad promising I could process rebates in 4 minutes and make $15 each. I got into the first module of the "certification training" and found out you are just promoting products as PayDotCom. Something I've tried before but was not interested in. I asked for my money back but have gotten nothing but run arounds. Now they won't even answer my emails. Well, I'm filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, the State Attorney General's office of consumer protection, and the The Ripoff Report.com. Everyone who has lost money to this company needs to file complaints, as well. If enough people complain to enough agencies, maybe we can get our money back, or at least get them shut down.

I emailed angel stevens before I even invested. I requested to make sure it was nothing like click bank because I am already doing click bank.

I found a post here from Jan. that talked about 8,000.00 they put out to be taught and start a business Tafiticonsulting is the Co. attached to the Angel Stevens program. When you pay Angel you get this form to fill out stated that there are limited spaces for this one on one traning. Then you get calls from Tafiti and a business development group that wants money to set up your business LLC from NV. then you get calls from 3 different people. If you gave more than one phone #, all phones ring at once. Setting you up in this program. Anyway there are better and cheaper ways to find out about and do everything Tafiticonsulting is teaching so don't go and loose over 9,000.00 to all of this. There is no cancellation polices to this and no real garantee that you will make any money at all.

Be afraid, be very afraid and run as fast as you can from this "opportunity." It has been for me at this point in time an opportunity to throw $197.00 out the window. Process at Home is in my opinion for all intents and purposes a scam. I have been jerked around on the phone on at least three different occasions with regard to obtaining a refund. I speak to supposedly different people who all seem to have the same voice. I am told that I will have a confirmation letter for the refund sent to my e-mail within 24 hours which has yet to occur. I am left on hold or cut off also when I call. I give the same info each time and have asked for a supervisor or manager and no one (surprise surprise) other than the same operator is available to speak with at any time. They have jerked me around every time I call. I am planning to alert the Better Business Bureau as well as exploring small claims court and filing a report with the police or anyone elso I need to to get my money back. Rot... read more »

Looks like I was a day too late to discover your site. I've struggled with affiliate marketing for 4 months now and had decided it wasn't for me. Then I saw the ad for Processing Rebates at Home. It looked like finally I had found something that would allow me to earn an income simply by investing my time.

So I opened Module 1 and what are they talking about? Doing affilaite marketing and the rebate actually comes from your commission, if you're lucky enough to sell a product. I reread the ad and found it to be extremely clever and devious, misleading.

As I charged to my credit card, I'm uncertain if I'll be successful in getting my money back. These people are basically thieves and one only hopes they screw up big time some day. Meanwhile, fools like me will continue to be had and lose money.

Wow....I too almost fell for this scam. The thing that worries me is that this program is advertised on career builder. A legitimate website. That made me think it was safe! I was guliable enough to invest in the $197.00. I read evry thing that I received in my e-mail from Angel Stevens. Then I started checking things out. (Nothing like the cart before the horse.) I decided this was not for me and called to request a refund. Beings I was within the 90 day period they gave me a cancelation, and conformation number. Thank goodness I wrote down the time, date, and to whom I spoke with. This was 2 months ago. I have checked with my credit card company and as yet no refund. But because I had the information with the conformation number and all, my credit card company is taking it over. They are giving me back my refund. YA HOO! GOT-UM YES!!!

I bought this just like many others, and its a scam as you said. I wish I had researched it a little more before I purchased it. I have been told they would give me a refund, I will update and let you know if I did in fact get a refund. Has anyone else been contacted by another place that claims "Angel Stevens" contracts them to pick a select few? I am wondering if it's a "few select suckers." They did however tell me to get my money back from her, and that they can and will show me how to start a succesful internet business. It sounds promising, but who knows I could be falling for another scam!! Please respond if anyone else has been contacted as I have! Thanks

So many of us are out here willing to do the work to make much needed extra income, but unfortunately there are low lifes out there preying on people who are in need, but lose hard earned money because of the scammers greed.

I to signed up for this course and paid $197.00 up front. I cancelled out of the course after three days. They told me it would take 5 to 7 days to issue the credit. I waited the 7 days and received no credit. I sent an E-Mail stating that I was going to notify the Bureau of Customer Affairs. I received an E-Mail in three days stating that the credit was issued. I called my Credit Card Company on 4/29/2008 and to my surprise I received the credit.

Dr. Richard Andrew STera, chairman of SiteREviewAuthority recommended Angel Steven's Process At Home System as a #1 approved Program so I paid the $197, thinking I would immediately get money as his investigators did. Then, I happened on this site with all the complaints. I sent two E-mails, the latter asking for a refund but have had no reply.

If I dont get my money back I am driving to California and Angel Stevens is going to get a size 10 where she don't want it. I too was taken by the process at home scam. I tried to get my money back and they did everything they could to get me pass the 90 day period by sending me stupid e-mails asking me to try a little longer. Then all of a sudden "sorry we cannot give you a refund as you are beyond the refund period." I called my bank and they are reversing the charges and doing an investigation. Usually I am a very cautious person and fully research anything I consider getting involved with; unfortunately I didn't do that with Process at Home. I got taken over the weekend. Right now is Monday night and when I got home from work I eagerly got on the computer to download the training information. Of course I couldn't and immediately began to smell a rat. During my attempt to find out more I ran into your website. Thanks for confirming my worst fears. I was gullible because the damn ad was so well done. I went over it several times. Question: what about eSellerate, the organization that does their billing, can we file a class action suit against them as a coconspirator? They must be aware of the (to put it mildly) improper business tactics of their client. I am sure many, such as myself, try to contact them in frustration to try to get their money refunded. I am contacting my bank first thing in the morning to try to get my $197 back into my account.

Today i just realized "process at home" was a complete scam! I googled this program b/c I have been trying for a week to get my refund but they tell you to stay and try it out. I kept getting this e-mail 3 times in arrow when continuously asking for a refund. After finding out it was a scam on this site today I called my bank immediatley. After about 15 mintues on the phone I was extremely happy to know I was getting my money back. They said that by tonite I will be getting the money back into my account, and that they are sending me a letter to fill out about my problem. All I have to do is fill it out and send it back. If you are like me and fell for the scam, CALL YOUR BANK and they will make sure to give you your money back. Just because you realized the site was a scam, doesn't mean you can't get your money back.
