Online Business Systems Review

Is Online Business Systems a Scam?

Online Business Systems has been repeatedly called a scam because of their deceptive marketing practices.  On the website for Online Business Systems they simply present a vague opportunity with no specifics.  They also advertise a forty dollar information package that is supposed to introduce you to this great opportunity.

Many people complain about the Online Business Systems package saying that it doesn't contain useful information.  Eventually people find out that the whole thing is just a front for Herbalife.

There are also many additional products to buy in order to get your vitamin selling business of the ground.  They don't tell you these things until your coach calls to explain what's really going on.

It's because of this shady marketing practice that it's often called an Online Business Systems Scam.  There are many different ways to start an online business but you should learn from companies that are forthcoming and don't hide what they really sell.

Note: If you came to this website because you're looking for a way to make money online then I suggest you take a look at my top recommendations. These are the best methods I've found that anyone can use to make money online, Click Here.

I'm so appreciative of sites like these that inform consumers of the scams that companies portray. In these days and times people don't have time for scams nor the time it takes to try and retrieve what was so wrongly taken from you. It's not like you can take your receipt and merchandise to the store and get you money back if you choose, you have to email, submit, draft, and argue, show an prove, by the time you receive your money your 5lbs lighter but ready for the psych-ward. Thank you for the needed information, I was about to jump on this one, due to my employment issue.

The paid package system is a screening process to weed out people that simply aren't very serious about building a home based business. We just don't have time to invest with every single tire kicker that comes along. We only work with serious people. The $9 is to pay for the shipping to get the materials to you. We shouldn't pay for your free shipping, as well as, buy you a free DVD. Anything of value costs something. The $30 is charged to anyone NOT RETURNING the DVD to us. Leads (people that suggest an interest in working from home)cost money. We don't make money selling information. We make money helping people get healthy and for teaching others how to do the same for people outside our personal reach. Anyone expecting to get a check in the mail because they ordered a DVD is simply not thinking clearly.

Why in the WORLD would they do this to innocent people? Do they have no conscience at all? We all need money to survive, but when it gets to the point where it is at the cost of a human life... is it worth it to them?

I am so disgusted I almost fell for this. I have two children and will be newly married in a week and half. We have not been able to eat for the past two weeks. My fiance works his ASS off every day, with a smile on his face, for that raise that will never come. We are honest people who actually care. I told this to my "coach" and her boss on the phone and they did not even flinch.

Please everyone, knowledge is power... do your research.

I was just asked to get the $39.95 package and when I asked some simple questions the lady didn't wanna answer them at all. She said she was only looking for people who really wanted to make serious money at home or some crap like that. I ain't no dummy so, when she avoided my questions I said hell no gotta be a scam. She tried to tell me she makes $20,000.00 a month doing this business. I guess she's pretty good at scamming but I ain't gonna scam other people cause unlike them I have morals and ethics. Besides $39.95 for some DVD,CD ROM and a retarded booklet nope not worth it. You can get setup in other businesses for that and get yourself a dealers kit right from the jump not not have to spend huge amounts of money for some useless products.

I had recently been looking for an online business and discovered something called Online Business Systems. A rep for the company called and extolled the benefits of the company and told me her testimonial of her experience. I had ordered the information package at the shipping and handling price of $9.99. I had done this with my credit card number. She told me that I had fifteen days to look it over and return it if I am not satisfied. A couple of days ago I had received the package . The information was very vague and didn't tell me much about anything so I started a research on the internet and found out that this whole thing was about Herbalife and selling it and also how people lost their hard- earned savings by trying to go into this sort of thing. I immediately called my bank and had a stop put on my account from this rep that had called me, I also sent back the lame information that was sent to me. I also want to add that when I had visited these sites that told me about the company there was always a link on these sites for another marketing outfit that claimed to be legitimate. Its all hogwash don't fall for it

I am grateful to see that so many people have tried the OBS or the MLM scams that are being advertised. It's no wonder there is no one in the Tallahassee area trying out the program. I ordered the $9.95 pkg. and its the very same one that you have for the $39.95 that has recently been offered. Sorry to disappoint any of you. I think that its only fair that you know, sooner or later you will find out.

I was looking at their info online. I was going to just wait until I could just do my research online about their company since you can not tell much from their name. Then a chat window came up when I was closing. I did the chat with the rep online and when I directly asked if it was MLM they ignored the question completely. Went straight to other so called incentives to get me to buy the package. So I tried again and actually spelled out what MLM was in case the person on the other end was so dense as to not know that MLM means Mult-Level Marketing. Again, they ignored the questions. I said that since they felt the need to hide information about their company, goodbye. Then I did the research and found this site. Thanks for all the comments. About what I expected. Sorry you all had to find out the hard way. The only ones who make money in MLM are the ones on top levels which means you have to get people to come in under you. Doing the same to them that was done to you....Sad.

Online Business Systems is defenitely a scam. Do not waste your money. I paid the $9.00 for the kit and returned it the next day, only to have my credit card charged the $39.95 about a month and a half later. I too was told that the package was returned damaged??? This whole scheme should be illegal, and I hardly believe these mother#$%@/#$ are accredited by the Better Business Bureau. So, if you're an idiot like me and you pay the $9.00 for their stupid kit and then realize it's nothing but a bunch of horse#%$@, make sure to immediately put a hold on your credit card before they have a chance to charge the $39.95 for the "damaged kit".

I heard about this on Sean Hannity. I thought he was trustworthy so I checked it out. The info packet is basically nothing. I could have seen that stuff on-line for free. I decided to see if OBS had a website and found this. I am glad to hear it is Herballife, now I know to send this packet back immediately because I got duped into buying herballife before and sent it all back. Funny how there advertising has changed since then, they can reel in the same people more than once. I am going to report them to the BBB because supposedly they are members.

To those who comment that I have "scammed" and for a long time, you are very wrong and have no experience with me. I ordered the program and spent money just like you. For a short period I recruited as part of the program, and give 100% accurate information as known at the time. I stopped recruiting as I believe the small percentage of success, as quoted by Herbalife upfront, to be true. I also experienced frustration with people not available for training. Recruitments who decided early not to continue, were refunded. It was my choice to invest & try this business - so blame for any loss is mine. My upline coaches were successful and to my knowledge still make a reasonable monthly income, but they invest continuously & work many hours that I chose not to do. I still buy & sell the products as I truly believe, from personal & family experience, they perform as published. My customers get a complete print out of label and product description with each new item ordered & get a 30-day guarantee - full refund or exchange - thier choice. Shame on those who felt it was necessary to use my name to satisfy your dissatisfaction with a choice you made. This site was brought to my attention by a party considering the business - not random checking for comments!

Yea I started down this road also. But I've done AMWAY years ago. Not a bad job if you are a salesman, "I'm not."

Because of that I kind of recognized the pitch. And told them I was looking for an income not an outgo.

Maybe someday I will find the American Dream.

I would like to go after these people and sue the hell out of them These people Shawn Dahl Glen Kirkpatrick Deb Pagani are all con artists. There is no way you can make money with them. I would love to sue the hell out of them. Herbalife is actually a fantastic company. It parasites like Shawn Dahl And Deb Pagani who need to be found and taken to jail.
It's a very elaborate scheme. Be afraid!

I bought into Herbalife when I moved to SC and there were no employment opportunities in the area. Since my husband's job tends to move us we both thought having an online business that I could take with me would be great. The pitch sounded good and although we had looked at other MLMs in the past and ran we thought maybe this once... my coach got me to spend over $2,000 in product to become a "supervisor" and get 50% off all my orders... great now what? I'll tell you what! AT LEAST $1200 a month for leads, paying to be able to run credit cards, paying to go to "training seminars", paying for a new phone line... wait, I told you I wasn't employed right? I wasn't told the online part of my business was going to cost so much until AFTER I had spent over 2 grand. Now I'm stuck in a small town with a 13% unemployment rate with $100 boxes of shakes. Thanks Herbalife

Ha ha, what a drab scheme. Herba Life was a scam 6 years ago when my wife tried it, investing thousands and all her time only to make nothing out of it. Well she may have made 20 or 30 bucks, but not even close to what they claim for what she put into it. You know it's a scam if they have to front it under a different name and refuse to tell you what it really is. HerbalLife, you still suck. How many people you gonna take advantage of before filling your bad karma quota.

Yea. This is definitely a scam. If it wasn't a scam, then why can't they tell you its HERBAL LIFE right from the start. Don't fall victim. Im getting my 9.95 back. This is BS. It's sad to know that when you are most desperate is when people will be able to take advantage of you. I am trying to provide a better life for my family and these scumbags are just taking advantage of that desperation. Screw Herbal Life and everything they stand for.

I was fortunate in that rather than sign up for the free tour on the web site, the first thing I did was to look at the bottom of their web page and found "copyright by Online Business Systems" which I immediately "Googled" and found this web site. I don't like it when someone tries to get you to try a "business opportunity" without being upfront about who they are and what they are about. Being the suspicious character that I am, it always sets off alarm bells in my head.

I got scammed by Online Business Systems, luckily it wasn't a huge amount of money that I lost but I just don't want other people to fall victim to this scam. They want you to pay about $8.00 to have the decision package sent to you and they give you 14 days to view the DVD and listen to the CD and read some printed materials. The material is pretty vague and just talks about the money you can make, not much about what kind of products you will be selling. The letter that came with it said that you could call your Personal Business Coach if you wanted to find out more info or you can mail it back within 14 days otherwise you will get charged for the full price of $39.95. I sent it back within the 14 days with a tracking number just to make sure and I found that they charged me the full price anyway and said that the package had been damaged so I had to pay for it. It is pretty hard to believe that it could get damaged in the 20 miles it traveled in the mail, but you never know. I will be reporting them to my credit card company, postal service and the BBB.

I did the online business. I bought the packet then got a call from Janine Briggs from C.O. I went with opt.2 that cost 399.00 I did everything my coach said, then she wanted me to buy 4000.00 worth of product I said no way. I was in to my 28th day and maid no sales. I canceled everything and Janine for my refund that I will probably never get it... the online business sucks........

Let the buyer beware, first thing anyone looking to make some big bucks from a forty dollar DVD should remember from forth grade. Darrel is it true that you could have gotten your money back but you just scammed your self? Sounds like you want to believe and are not willing to do the real hard work that is required to make a business work. Sorry you got nothing for nothing, just learn from your mistakes. Joan has been scamming folks for yrs. Ask the police and FBI.

I've got a Bachelor's degree in Commerce that I graduated from the program with Honors. If you think for one second that you're going to pay $40 or $50 for a kit and make a five-figure income each month, you're a lazy tool, and deserve to be victimized by this scam. I agree that the people responsible for this are human trash, and should be burned, if you don't have any post-secondary education or skills, you don't deserve to make that level of income. If you do have a college or university education and you still get burned by this, then you're proof that even idiots can get burned. Wake up people, hard work reaps big rewards, and laziness breeds failure.

I made the mistake of going into this business two years ago. It's a good thing I had a full time job to support this. I put in 4 hours a night after working all day and all day on Saturdays. On top of that every time I checked my bank statement I was being charged for websites, materials, etc. I did not make any money and ended up giving my Herbalife inventory away. When I quit after 4 months, my coach and my upline had also quit. I was a sucker for falling for this scam.

Joan is full of a bunch of horse#*@$! I tried the stupid Herbalife thing, too. You need a good $3K plus to invest, my upline told me TWO MONTHS into various conference calls and whatnot, and those above you get a portion of whatever you sell and you end up with very little in the end. To boot, their claim of annual sales each year is due to the MASSES they've hooked as distributors as it's the distributors OWN purchases for their OWN use that make up the majority of the annual sales - divide the annual sales from their financial reports for four quarters by the 2mm or whatever it is distributors they have out there...Unless you know a pro-football player or some big vitamin store owner that is willing for you to ply Herbalife products through them, you aren't going to make a dime. Plus, Herbalife products are LOADED with all sorts of additives, artificial sweeteners, and chemicals!!! Who wants that garbage in their bodies???!!

I signed up; got the package on a Tuesday or Wednesday. I missed a call from my mentor on the following Saturday because I was busy and I called to make an appointment on Tues with my mentor. Wed I talked to my "mentor" who would not go any further with the first interview until she knew I was "serious" and by "serious" she meant was I willing to fork over some dough before she would even tell me what's up.I, of course, said no and she could tell I was not "serious". I asked if all I had to do was send the packet back and she said yes send it back or you'll get charged the $39.95.I sent it back the very next day priority mail and guess what!?! Almost three weeks later $39.95 was on my bank statement and guess what else? The number provided on the bank statement was not in service! Amazing isn't it. I had sent the complete package back before the two weeks were up and boom I get charged anyway. Further more I was not notified if they didn't get the package back for some reason or given a bill or a letter stating they were going to charge my account. They just took the money out without my consent!Sorry not my idea of a great business. More like a scam.

Online business systems does not just send you vague information for your $39.95. I ordered the packet myself and found it to be nothing but questionable testimonies. It’s worse than getting vague information. Whether the testimonies were real or not, in my right mind I would have never given anyone (without being duped) forty dollars for a booklet, CD, and DVD of nothing but testimonies. Furthermore they tell you on the DVD, CD, and literally every page of the booklet that the results of the individuals giving the testimonies are NOT typical. Trust me, absolutely no one will hang them in court for that one. If you go through all their literature and do not get the picture that their advertised results are not typical, you do not belong in your own or anybody else’s business.

Thank you

I started with online business I sent for the first package.when I was contacted I was told it was herbalife and then i ordered the second package it took a little while but with some effort in the beginning I now make about $95,000.00 a year and i don't have to work as hard as i did in the beginning it definitely is an excellent opportunity if you put in the effort up front. sorry to here about Darrell's story there must have been some bad communication between him and his coach . Darrel's comments I find hard to belive. If he paid $40. for the Decision Package, he did not return it within the 15 day trial period clearly noted on Online Business Systems order form, and also clearly noted in the cover letter on front of the DP. Calls are made promptly once the DP's are mailed, requesting a 20 minute call to explain the business. On that call without fail, Herbalife is introduced as the second part of the business, details about the company, etc. Sounds like maybe he didn't answer his calls either. This is not a quick get rich company, it's hard work, but very rewarding work. Great part about it is you own the business, but have continual training and upline coaches to help you become successful.

You treat your business like a hobby, you will not succeed, treat it like your business with urgency, and give it a reasonable time to grow like any other business - you will become successful. The DP contains true testimonies, and there's lots more successes worldwide - include Mexico.

I got scammed by online business systems last year. I lost the 40.00 fee and all I got was a DVD from the head con artist crying about how broke and poor he was and had 2 kids and a wife so he got into this business and became rich almost onernight. Didnt find out it was Herbalife for quite a while...even after asking my "mentor" several times what I would be selling. Since then I believe they sold my info because I get several emails and phone calls a day from other get rich quick schemers.
