About NutriBullet

In order for the body to absorb nutrients from food, the stomach has to break it down past the cellular level. Food extractors are used to break down food into a “pre-digested” state and enable your stomach to easily reach essential nutrients and vitamins.

The NutriBullet is a food extractor which is used to grind up all types of foods into drinks. Not only can you use it to make health shakes and juices, but you can also make soups, dressings, desserts, flour, and peanut butter.

The main difference between a typical blender and an extractor is the amount of horsepower in the mechanism. An extractor has so much horsepower that when used in combination with extremely sharp blades, you can pulverize anything into extremely small particles.

The fun part of the process is making up your own personalized recipes using your favorite foods. Using foods with certain nutrients and vitamins allows you to customize the nutritional components you wish to obtain. Some of the benefits you can expect from choosing specific foods include reduced joint pain, younger looking skin, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol and migraine relief.

When ordering the NutriBullet online you have the option of paying the full price of $119.94 or making six individual payments of $19.99. The NutriBullet comes with a milling blade, an extractor blade, a power base, three cups, two lids, one user guide/recipe book, one pocket nutritionist, and the Natural Healing Book which is a free bonus gift. There is a 30 day risk free money back guarantee as well.

The high price of this product needs to be weighed in regards to how much you are going to use it. If you invest in the product you are also committing yourself to the cost of the food you plan on using. Determine if you are excited about the idea of having product or actually using the product. If you have a habit of buying appliances, using them a few times, and then storing them in the cabinet where they will never be seen again, you may want to rethink this purchase.

If you are buying this as a miracle weight loss tool, you will also need to do the necessary additional typical activities that accompany any weight loss diet. Sometimes drinks can be a hidden source of calories, adding up to unexpected future weight gain. If you make health drinks, be sure to include the calorie content into your daily calorie count. If you use these drinks as meal replacement or make them with low calorie foods then you are on the right path. Don’t forget to incorporate physical activity into your weight loss program.

There are many complaints about the NutriBullet leaking during the mixing process. Consumers have ended up returning it because of this issue. Consider reviewing the reputation of other extractors that have been on the market for a longer period of time. All in all, you want to compare the capabilities of different extractors, the durability of the product and its components, and the ease of use. Overall, the easier it is for you to operate, the more likely you are to use it.

Does what it needs to do

first off, I'm a guy that commutes 45min every day and have two young kids to get ready in the morning.
I don't have time in the morning!

Yet, most mornings I'm able to make me and my wife a smoothie and am confident it's helping to make us healthier. (Dr. recently praised me for having such a low uric acid level).

Cleanup is a friggin dream! I rinse it out, fill it back up with water and a drop of soap put the top (bottom :) back on and 'blend' it again, rinse and I'm done...ready for tomorrow! Love it!

My morning breakfast blend:
Fresh Spinach, banana, strawberry, cherries, blueberries, raw pumpkin seeds, 1/2 scoop protein powder (trying to target my gout and high cholesterol)

Anyway, bottom line: fast, easy (using mostly frozen precut fruit), tastes great (even my kids love em), and relatively inexpensive.

Note: This unit does basically one thing and one thing only...liquifies stuff regarding the dry capabilities...I can't say as I haven't used the milling blade.

What a Bust!

I am five months into the famed Nutribullet, I must have gotten the lemon of the lot! It is at best a dressed-up overpriced blender that is not superior in design or durability. I had to pull out a very old cheap blender used for mostly smoothies; guest what? It out performs the nutribullet, don't waste your money!

Disappointing Customer Service

Doesn't matter how great a product is if it breaks in 3 months of light to moderate use. I was using it 3-4 times per week, never with ice or anything really hard--just fruits and vegetables on pulse for a few seconds at a time. And I loved it. Worked great. Then one day, I went to use it and it was completely dead; no signs of life at all. Had a back and forth Q&A session with a customer service rep in email, was told my base would be replaced if I paid the shipping, which sounded reasonable to me. When I called to arrange this and give them my credit card, I was told that I had to do more troubleshooting. Since I was at work and don't carry my dead Nutribullet around with me, I would have to wait until the weekend. I have repeatedly tried to contact them. Apparently they are too busy and important to pick up the phone because you have to leave your number and they'll call you back. Still haven't heard from them. I'm going to buy myself a NINJA right now.

Does just what I want it to

I tried 3 or 4 and this was by the far the best in my price range (under 125.00). It liquifies perfectly, I use it quite regularly. It doesn't leak at all nor does it have that burning smell ( there may be a faint smell if I'm using it on more dense stuff for a long time but no more than another blender or chopping appliance). I'm very happy with this product.

Does what it claims to do

This is only the second product review I've ever written. I have a tight budget, and so I carefully research pricier items before purchase.
I ordered my NB from Target, and have been using it daily for the last month for my veggie/fruit smoothies! My teenagers use it often as well.
My first observation is that the blades are, indeed, different than those in my quality blender (it comes with two, by the way- the other for milling seeds and nuts). The unit is not too bulky, and doesn't take up too much counter space, which I like.
I've put every type of fruit and veggie in the NB, fresh and frozen, and it comes out wonderfully every time! Much better than my blender.
It comes with user friendly instructions and information- very helpful for someone just beginning new healthy eating habits. I would strongly advise following the instructions to avoid any problems, although I have not had any in spite of occasionally overfilling it.
Clean-up could not be easier!!! Basically a rinse-off of the blade unit and container will suffice most of the time. This morning I made my breakfast smoothie, rinsed off the two parts, then puréed some cauliflower for lunch. One more rinse off, and I was done and cleaned up in less than 10 min.
I quite honestly don't know why some have had a bad experience with this unit. I love mine! It's helped me stick to my healthy eating plans (I get at least 4 servings of fruits/veggies per smoothie), in such a convenient way. It's not a scam! It does what it claims to do!

i heard reveiws about this thing leaking, but if you follow directions like it tells you,to not fill past the line ,you wont have any problems with it .this little thing is powerful,it totally emulsifies veggies or fruits, turns it into a shake so that you can drink it right down without chewing all that stuff.im drinking more vegetables than i ever have before and it fills you up and you can skip meals because your getting all your nutrients.its awesome.

Hello,
I do love the Nutribullet and the instructions were read and followed well. However, the seal goes in it and it does leak. Also, there have been hairline cracks found in the housing and the extraction blade. I am now on my third and hoping that they change their manufacturer.
The idea of this product is so needed today and I personally bought one for each of my family members as I love the idea so much. No matter how much I love it though does not resolve that it DOES indeed leak.

@ James R.
I do not think David said he skipped "ALL" meals, but rather, that he was skipping sitting to ear solid meals. He is using the veggie drink as a meal to go, and he even says he is benefiting from taking all the nutrition.

Everything has it's quirks

Best machine ever.
Yes it leaks - big deal.
Yes it spews brown liquid between the motor and the base. Yeah, yucky (as long as it doesn't get in my drink I don't care)
Clean up is a breeze (2 seconds under hot running water) or shove it in the dishwasher. Paper towel dry the unit and ready to go again.

It grinds up everything AND makes great nut butters.

Oh, for those of you who think your motor is frozen, it's not.
The machine is quirky in the sense that you need to rotate the plastic thing and press down until it grabs, to turn on the motor. Sometimes it takes several tries, sometimes not.
In place of using water, I use green tea. (supposed to be better for you? who knows)
I figure if the machine lasts 6 months I got my money out of it. It's lasted almost 2 years. I would buy another in a second.
I bought the heavy duty magic bullet from Costco but it was not as strong as the NutriBullit.
(oh, and for those of you who have no life and write a review knocking writer's grammar etc. Seriously? nothing better to do with yourself?)
FYI - some of us are so busy we don't have time to correct our grammar, just trying to get the word out. So get a grip. K?

Don't over fill. there is a max fill line right on the cup! and screw the lid on correctly if you don't then it will leak! ,and No blender will do the same thing, this product is awesome!!!!!

Best machine I have purchased

I love this product and would recommend it to everyone. All my ffamily and friends are now getting it. My kids love it and im getting the veggies they need with out forcing them to eat them. Easy to clean, does not take alot of counter space and is great for moms like me that never have time to themselves. Just make a shake put the cover on it throw it in your bag and go. I have one or two a day everyday. Never had no issues at all.

Excellent Product for the price...

First off, people who are bitching about the price need to understand that $119 is not a lot of money for a product that can do what this machine does.. otherwise, please get some education and find a higher paying job. Sorry as I do not mean to be rude but have you seen the price of a VitaMix.. $700. For what this machine can do, $119 is not a lot of money.

And for all the people complainting about it not properly liquifying or breaking down fruits and veggies, you clearly failed in life and cannot follow simple instructions. There is a max line which I'm almost positive most people are passing. If passed, you are not giving the machine enough room in the cup to do it's job and mix/cut/pulverize. Another problem I'm sure is that you are not adding enough water. Throwing a bunch of dry carrots into this machine with a few drops of water WILL NOT liquify anything. Use common sense a little. Carrots are not jam packed with water. Again, follow the "simple" instruction on the product and add enough veggies, fruits, nuts, water and most importantly pay attention to the MAX line.

I've always been a fan of the Magic Bullet. Owned one for almost two years and used the crap out of it and never had issues. Only thing was it did not liquify as much as I would like it to. But hey, it's a $40 for god sakes, don't expect miracles at this price. Purchased the Nutribullet just over a week ago after obsessing over the commercials. I was insanely excited when I purchased it as I'm a big fan of "juicing". Once I powered it up with one of my own healthy drink creations and watched as I literally pulverized everyhting in the cup, I was instantly in love with this thing. After a week of making 2-3 drinks daily I absolutely love this thing more and more each day. It literally crushes all seeds which I've never seen a blender/mixer do. I add flax seeds to everything and my body can finally absorb all the healtly benefits of this and other seeds i put in. Before all seeds just remained at the bottom of the cup.

Anyways for $119, you cannot go wrong with this product if you are a fan of juicing like I am. Seeds will go through your body in the same form you consume them making them nothing but a system flusher like any fiber. Breaking down the seed allows your body to take in much more super healthy vitamins, oils, etc. Buy the product, use it for a week (as instructed), then decide if it's for you or not but please don't bitch about something you are not using properly.

Cheers!

Plastic will crack

Please beware of the plastic in the containers. When the containers are scratched they leach BPS and eventually crack and containers start to leak. The Nutribullet may be BPA free but not BPS free. BPS is now used instead of BPA. BPS is also an endocrine disrupter to the same of possibly worse degree than BPA.

Proof of Concept: Fail!

It pains me to write this review -- I so wanted to love this machine. My saga begins the very first time I fired up the NutriBullet. Within two seconds, smoke began emanating from the base and the acrid smell of burning something-or-other filled the air. And the cup leaked like a sieve (after I had been *very* careful not to overfill and to make sure the blade was screwed on tightly).

I ultimately figured out that the smoke I had observed, which I had assumed was the motor self-destructing, was actually coming from the extractor blade assembly. Turns out the white nylon gasket inside the assembly apparently had been incorrectly installed; the resulting friction between it and the black 'rubber' gear caused the former to melt and the latter to start to burn.

Next thing I noticed: Inside the base unit, the housing has a hard, clear plastic liner that is notched in three places near the white plastic thingies up around the rim. These areas are not sealed, and when liquid leaked from the cup, some of it worked its way in between the outer housing and this liner. Have not seen comments from anyone else relative to this issue, but not only is it impossible to clean, I later found cautionary notes in the instruction manual warning that any leakage from the cup into the base of the unit could ultimately cause the unit to malfunction. Bad design, IMHO.

Customer service -- or lack thereof -- is a whole other subject. If you decide to risk trying the NutriBullet, I can only reiterate what others have said here: DO NOT order online directly from the NutriBullet website -- purchase it from a reputable retailer to whom you can return it for a full refund if you experience problems.

My Nutri Bullet leaks as well. At first I thought I wasn't screwing the top on secure enough but after making sure the cap was on properly and re-reading the directions, I continued to have the same issues as stated in above reviews. It was disappointing to say the least. I also experienced a burning smell and was alarmed but thought it might be a new appliance smell but now I know better. Doesn't work as described, poor quality

Didn't get even one use out of it and the base malfuntioned with a floating loose screw inside. Received a new base and was anxious to get juicing but does not liquify at all, seeds remain and sometimes pieces of friut and vegies still in the mixture. The tabs on the larger cup slip under the tabs on the base that trigger the unit to start and can't get it to turn off without unplugging unit. It is than very difficult to remove the container from the base as one or more of the tabs are stuck under tabs of base. The covers that are provided for the containers do not seal onto the container at all and the juice leaks out and gets all over the threads of the container if tipped slightly at all. I am very disappointed in the quality and false advertising of this product and would never recommend to anyone. Wish I had purchased the Ninja instead.

Not even close to advertisement

I purchased this nutribullet because I thought it would take veggies and fruit and liquify them, which is what they show on the infomercial. They use a strainer and the drink is completely liquified. This is a complete lie. First off, I followed the instructions to the T, and made 6 drinks from the extra recipe page that comes with the machine. I believe it has one or two drinks from each phase. Not one of the drinks were completely liquified, NOT ONE!!!! Each drink came out thick, and none of them went through a strainer easily. Also, each sip I took, I had to chew some veggies. It did a horrible job of breaking up the kale, and an even worse job on the berries, as each sip you took you were eating seeds. The blades are not blades, they are pieces of square metal, so they don't completely break down all the food. This was one of the biggest disappointments if not the biggest for an appliance. I was really hoping that it would act as a juicer, but the consistency is not even close. This is basically a glorified blender. Also, each drink tasted absolutely horrible.

Why are you surfing review sites about the nutribullet and getting angry at a negative one. Looks like there are people that are writing, reading reviews that have an unusual interest in their blender (like being paid by the company?)

Kristi
March 22, 2013

I have only had my nutribullet for 2 days but I have had no trouble with the blending except for carrots, and I think if I would have given it a few more seconds it would have liquified. Not sure perhaps you are filling it too full the device needs the air space to do it's thing. If the drink tastes horrible that is not the bullets fault. It is the combination you chose, so try some other options.

Jenny
March 25, 2013

Sounds like you aren't adding enough water to it before blending. If there isn't enough water, everything is really thick and no ground up very well. Keep trying!

I bought one just before last Christmas.. I have used it 2wice a day everyday.. Trial and error.... do not overfill past the MAX line with fruits and vegetables.. I will blend it for 30 seconds and it DOES liquify.. proper proportions will liquify... I did have to take mine back today for another one.. The extractor blade leaked a it and started getting rust.. I got another and will use the hell out of this one as well.. I did notice the parts seem cheaper with this one.. Still works like a charm.. and there is warranty...

Chad
April 02, 2013

Like the other replies indicate, you are either going past the max line or not adding enough water. Clearly you failed in following instructions. I bet you also don't change your cars oil every 5000 kms. Anyways, like any product on this planet, you have a chance of buying a faulty unit. That's why the company and any retainer offers 30 day money back or exchange policy. Use the crap out of it (properly by following instructions) and see if anything goes wrong. If not, then you scored a healthy product, otherwise return or exchange it. Don't embarrass yourself with stupid reviews like this showing how incapable of following simple instructions you are. SMH

Over filled it .Let it run for more than a minute and now theirs do not work. My is working beautifully. So I'm wondering did these complainers(no pun intended) do as they did.

A Life Changing Product

At 56 years old I have always been in great shape. I eat right, workout and live what I thought was a healthy lifestyle. I went for my annual check up and my doctor told my that my cholestral was getting to be on the high side, I was shocked. So always being up for a challenge I decided to make a few changes in my life.

I watched the documentary "Hungry for Change" and started to look at my diet. The film basically says, veggies are good, sugar is bad, and to watch out for refined and chemically altered ingredients in what you eat. My daily diet consisted of a bagel for breakfast, a double, double coffee with sweetener, soup or raw veggies for lunch, fruit for my snacks and a regular dinner.

After watching the movie I started to really look into what was actually inside what I ate. Working in automotive I knew that what you put into an automobile directly affects the way it runs, and the same can be said for the human body. I was at work in my office and one of my technicians who is also into a healthly lifestyle asked if I had ever heard about Nutribullet, I had not. I went online and after watching the video and comparing it to what I had now learned I knew that this product deserved a try.

I started by replacing my breakfast with my Nutribullet power shake that contained whatever I had left over from making my raw veggie lunch plus some fruit. At first they didn't taste so great and needed a bit more fruit, but I knew that each glass was doing my body good. I now have "the mix" perfected and enjoy the boost that I get ever morning. I have more energy, my cholestral is back to better than normal, and I have even noticed that my sense of smell has improved!

The Nutribullet has become infectious at work with five fellow employees haiving bought one. Everyone in our "Nutribullet club" are reporting the same great results and some have even lost weight.

Thank you Nutribullet, your product does exactly what it says and is life changing. I have never been so impressed by anything and will spread the healthly Nutribullet word wherever I go.

Wayne,

I started nutriblasts just before this past Christmas.. I do it 2wice a day.. I never realized the sugar and bad foods I used to eat until I replaced most my diet with RAW and complex carbs(grains, legumes, nuts, seeds).. I have never had such energy before from any coffee.... and the blast in the morning lasts me the entire work day.. I love it.. My body loves. it.. thanks for sharing.. My testimony is like yours... Although my cholestral levels have always been low....

Dear Walter, I cannot believe that in 56 years you've not heard of a blender. This machine doesn't do anything that a blender made when you were one-year-old would not do. Maybe your health improved because you started to eat vegetables. Had you ever heard of a vegetable before Neutra bullet?

Waring,
First off, his name is Wayne, not Walter. Second, he only said he hadn't heard of the NutriBullet, and third, you are so very condescending in your response. In the majority of reviews you seem to push your 20-year-old Waring blender. Awesome for you if it works better than this product. Writing your own review regarding the difference would be beneficial to some, but do not try to push something to everyone's review that you do not agree with.
