Larry Williams
Review & Customer Comments on Commodities Guru Larry Williams...
Larry Williams is a very well known
commodities trader and author with materials dating back
to the early eighties. In these past three
decades he has written several
best sellers and has secured his reputation
as a trading expert.
There are several reasons why Larry Williams
and his books have become so popular. He
gained much credibility when a book that he
published correctly predicted the upswing of
the market at a time when the majority was
forecasting a slowdown.
Moreover, Larry Williams shocked people in
1987 with his impressive results at the
Robbins World Cup Trading Championship.
Throughout the event Williams was able to
turn $10,000 into a little more than one
million dollars. To this day results like
that haven’t been reported; supposedly this
is why some have accused him of
foul play at that tournament.
Larry Williams is also known for developing
and teaching his own trading system. His
methods have been called unconventional and
at times risky. However, each trader should
have their own system that is tailored to
their financial situation, risk/loss
threshold, and emotions.
His trading style does not rely heavily on
charts so much as it does on indicators and
timing tools that he has personally
developed. These are known as the Williams
%R and the Ultimate Oscillator.
For the most part Larry Williams provides
solid stock market education materials; he
has even been known to trade his own money
at seminars. Yet it’s important for people
to know that there isn’t a perfect system
out there.
To be truly successful you need
to educate yourself to the point where you
can pick and choose profitable elements from
a variety of sources, ultimately developing
your own style. I would recommend using
Larry's strategies in
conjunction with additional trading
strategies in an
ongoing educational process.
One great tool that I personally recommend is Free INO TV where you can view educational training videos from some the world's top analysts.
This is the type of information you'll get at seminars where a seat could cost thousands of dollars.
It's surprising that most people don't know about such a great resource that
thousands of traders are using every day to improve their trading skills. Click Here For More Info.

Comments to date: 4. Page 1 of 1. Average Rating: Vincent Guenette Ottawa Canada | 8:27pm on Sunday, March 1st, 2009 | I've been trading stocks and commodities for over 32 years. From the beginning I had the good fortune of reading Larry Williams' books and other material that he put out. Twenty five years ago I was afflicted with a devastating neurological disease. In spite of that I was able to do some trades, but because of the discipline and money management principles I learned from Larry Williams over the years, I was able to maintain and grow my net worth. Two years ago I started a new treatment which improved my health tremendously! Finally I was able to attend a Larry Williams seminar in Ft. Lauderdale on Feb. 14 and 15, 2009. The man was exactly what I expected. Courteous, low key, humble, a gentleman, and an absolute guru of the markets! The last year has been brutal in the markets! Because of what I learned from Larry williams over the years I am still solvent and actively trading. I feel like Minnesota Fats in that scene from "The Hustler" where after playing pool all night he goes into the bathroom to freshen up, and when he walks out and looks at Paul Newman AKA The Hustler, and says "Let's shoot some pool" But in my case it's "Let's do some trades!" I'M BACK!!! Thanks for your integrity and your help Larry! |
Gregg Killpack Murray, Utah | 9:30pm on Thursday, January 1st, 2009 | I have intensively studied the stock market for 20 years, reading over 25,000 pages and I never truly understood the market until I read three books by Larry Williams (Long-term secrets to short-term trading, The right stock at the right time, and Secrets of selecting stocks for immediate and substantial gains). Now I refer to Larry as "the master" because I am convinced of his amazing understanding of the markets. I know his strategies work!
You may not know it but Larry's daughter, Michelle Williams (actress in Dawson' creek and mother of Heath Ledger's baby), also took the Robbins Futures Trading Competition when she was in high school and won -- she turned $10,000 into over $100,000 thanks to dad's instruction. See Larry Williams, trader, on wikipedia. Certainly he knows his stuff if he can teach a high school student how to succeed as a futures trader. Larry is amazing.
I would also recommend The Stock Trader's Almanac by Jeffrey Hirsch in addition to Larry's books. |
Doug Fala Lake Forest, CA | 12:33am on Sunday, October 19th, 2008 | It's simple. He is the best ever (from my own experience).
He is a living legend, dwell on every word he says.
Not only is he an honest trading guru, but he is a very nice person too! :O |
Airelon Monroe, MI | 7:09pm on Sunday, August 17th, 2008 | I started listening to Larry back in 1998. I'm here to tell you - Larry knows what he's talking about. PLEASE - for the love of god, listen to what this man has to say about money management. |
