Internet Treasure Chest
Internet
Treasure Chest hit the scene in a series
of late night infomercials offering a trial
period of sixty days for $59.95. For that
low price and the advertised option of
returning it at no cost I had to try it.
When I got the Internet Treasure Chest
package I was immediately let down. Even
though back then I was somewhat of an
internet novice there was nothing
revolutionary or innovative about the
information in Internet Treasure Chest. It
was info that I already new or stuff that I
knew could be found for free on the net or
at libraries.
On top of the weak info, the folks at
Internet Treasure Chest keep coming at you
with new products ranging between $800-
$5,000 that are supposed to make you more
money. Once the sales reps at Internet
Treasure Chest leech on to you they don’t
let go, I’ve heard stories from people
saying that they would get monthly credit
card bills on items they didn’t purchase, or
even continual charges once they returned
the product.
If you think this stuff is to malicious
to be true check out what kind of trouble
the company that developed Internet Treasure
Chest got themselves into.

In May
2003, the FTC charged that End70 Corporation
and its principal, Damien Zamora, used a Web
site and infomercials to claim that their
Internet Treasure Chest (ITC) business
opportunity was very profitable and very
inexpensive.
The FTC
charged the defendants with deceptive and
misleading advertising and violations of the
Telemarketing Sales Rule. The judge has
ordered the defendants to stop airing the
deceptive infomercial and required that FTC
review telemarketing scripts for future
infomercials. In addition, the order
requires the defendants to tell consumers
about additional fees that they charge for
certain payment options and Web hosting.
The FTC has
created a hotline for consumers affected by
ITC’s deceptive advertising scam. Consumers
may call 1-866-233-5640 for more
information.

For the simple fact that Internet
Treasure Chest is being sued by the FTC
and that their materials are over hyped and
ineffective I can not recommend Internet
Treasure Chest.

I've disputed every charge so sooner or later they will get the message that "NO" means "NO". |
