All people are entitled to an opinion..i saw the ad on t.v...but from the reviews, i can concurrently state that the whole world smells like a dirty old shoe!! Be honest about earning income at home!! Who really want to pile out of bed to go a job they have and get nowhere..
If you put more money into a business than you are getting out of it then it time to look at other options. The more honest you are the more you will succeed..please add this comment thank you kindly. |

"This is for all of you out there that think that this is "endorsed" by Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Clark Howard et al. The radio shows sell advertising time to anyone who has the money to buy it. "
Well, I was listening to Mike Gallagher, and HE PERSONALLY read the ad out loud for IncomeAtHome.com. It sounded like a shady business based on the wording of the ad, and doing one minute of research confirmed my suspicion. Herbalife has been around for a while, but it's mostly just joked about, because there's no evidence that the product even works! Have you seen any credible statistics or studies to show that the products are effective?
Any company that hides its actual product must be doing so to trick people to signing up. And why would one associate with a company that resorts to tricks like that?

I love Sean Hannity's show on the radio, where I heard this ad, but I've tried (really worked at it) the whole MLM Herbalife thing. The products are great, but I lost a ton of money trying to make the program work for me. I've never worked so hard to lose that much money! Beware!!!!! |

What they don't tell you it's MLM. After you bother friends and family to buy products they normally don't you lose face. Who needs to be lied to and made to buy product just to give the level above you a profit. Usually you buy up to $250 a month and maybe see a $5 paycheck. I found a real business opportunity that really works because it's something you do everyday. No hype, no promises. Just an honest business, and it's growing. thanks income at home for sharing the lie. Don't do it unless you like a garage full of potions and lotions! |

I should have done my homework first. I ordered the packet and will get it tomorrow. I just received the call from my personal coach who was super vague about what the internet business entails. She wants me to look through the package first and then we will talk through it in two days. After reading the info on this site I already know I'm not interested in selling Herbalife nor working in a marketing scheme. |

I was just getting ready to give them my money to try it but fortunately i did not have my credit card with me. When you enter your info, this lady Tanya Davis called me the next day and sends me emails. All pyramid schemes are the same, recruit people and make money off of them basically what tanya davis is trying to do to me. If you are not a salesman type person, then dont do this. I was in a org called Primerica and they train you to not tell people too much info, and they tell you exactly what to say it is rehearsed! |

the program it what it is: a gateway to herbalife. people have found a way to make a little extra for introducing you to the program. ive heard the ads too/ they are very vague and they advertise on the local level as well. you have to be very motivated to make a living with it but more likely its a side revenue stream. |

I would not call this a scam, although the OBS advertising may be called somewhat deceptive (let’s say bait). It makes it sound easy. The $9.95 mail out kit is just more bait; it says nothing of Herbalife. (Google would have told you.) Now, almost all MLMs have done this for decades to get your initial curiosity up just so you’ll look at their ‘fantabulous’ marketing schemes where they set the hook. There is a low cost to sign up, but ever-increasing costs once you are in; however, this is not untypical of MOST OTHER business ‘opportunities’ – you have to have your eyes wide open. Let’s just say you are paying for your own education when exploring business opportunities. Which is the truth. There is no free lunch.
Herbalife has been around a long time, and is reasonbly respected. (They brag about their CEO being a former Disney CEO – not sure how relevant that is today – and that their chief scientist is/was a Nobel Prize laureate; however, they won’t publish their weight loss product studies/statistics on their website like other companies do – strange.)
OBS & incomeathome.com on the other hand, appear to be the invention of someone outside Herbalife some 10-12 years ago, who selected Herbalife as their product source & MLM business model.
The rest of my comments apply to making a decent, full-time income from the business. It’s a fact that most MLM’ers making an actual full-time living are making it off their downline members & all the new signups paying new recruit fees and also purchasing & using the products themselves – witness new member Kaelyn above ‘investing’ several thousand dollars on her credit card in product & fees, but without the offsetting income; now she’s in deeper debt and wanting to quit. At LEAST 50% of her purchases (more like 80%) went to her upline members – 50% to the top. (This is why the products are so expensive.) Much less income comes from product sales to Joe Public, because the retail prices are so high; people can get equivalent product in health, grocery or online stores for much less. (That is also a fact. And people will shop/purchase products for the least amount.) Here’s another fact: most of your downline members join with high hopes, but end up staying in just so they can keep buying the products at wholesale and nothing else; recruiting and selling products is too hard or uncomfortable for them.
So, to make a living, you have to recruit new members and build your best downline hopefuls (helping them build their downlines), ensuring everyone is buying & using the products themselves. To build a residual income, you have to have deep downlines. OBS/Internet marketing helps with recruiting, as they distribute new inquiries to you automatically, but you’ll also have to work hard at personal recruiting as well, getting traffic to your personal-Herbalife websites (4 in all). You’ll also be attending business seminars and paying for business-related books and services on how to better recruit and build your MLM business. This is also where more upline income is made in MLM. Internet recruiting adds a new twist today in lessening that effort to some degree. But to get to a $4000-$6000/month+ income level (over your purchases & business expenses), you’re going to have to be heavily involved with the above things. Before Internet marketing, it used to take a couple of years to get to this level; don’t know how long it will take to get to that level working full-time with OBS helping you.
I’m not totally negative to Herbalife or this opportunity — just enter it with your eyes wide open — and ready to invest, work hard, and wait for the income to build slowly. My recommendation is that you should be a people-person – a salestype – introverts: don’t bother applying. There are books at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, etc., on building an MLM business. It’s a people business and gets very involved at high income levels. |

I just first want to say that Online Business Systems is not a scam. It is a MLM business, but also an opportunity for you to start your own business. Herbalife is what this business is all about and yes, you are retailing and recruiting. Herbalife is a wonderful product. I have not lost any weight on it, but I can tell a definite improvement in my health and have been able to get off of prescription medication because of it.
This business is not something for everyone and you do need to invest in order to make it work. There is no guarantee that you will make money. I got involved and now have several thousand dollars on my credit card to figure out how to pay off. I am going to get out of the business because it just takes up too much of my time. Like I said, this is an actual opportunity, but you need to be prepared to invest of your time and pocketbook in order for it to work.
I personally wish that I had never gotten involved because it has not worked for me, but it is working for others. Some are making a couple extra hundred a week, others are making several thousand a month. The choice is yours to make. Go into it with your eyes open and realize that you never HAVE to do anything but what you believe to be the best decision for yourself. |

Geez people, if people want to join a MLM they are free to do so. I’ve owned a restaurant and you should see the failure rate on that line of business. So does that make the restaurant business a scam, by the logic here, apparently so.
Americans are getting so hypocritical about business. How many of you neo-socialist go to restaurants? Oh yeah, and next time you are cursing BP for the oil spill, ask yourself what that volkswagon runs on in your driveway |

As this post appears to have no real experience in these matters other then opinion or popular opinion, I would have to say you cannot take someone’s opinion as any sort of fact.
The numbers and statistics mean nothing at all.
Here’s why
You could use the same statistics for all business in general which is to say that 95% of all businesses fail or go out of business within the first 5 years. So the question is why go into business at all right ?
This poster is applying the general statistic to MLM as if somehow it is MLM specific which is deceiving at best since 95% of all new startups fail within the first 5 years.
So it’s clear the statistics have nothing to do with it;and this poster is either twisting things from personal preference or perhaps just not aware of this subject.
I personally have no objection to referral based businesses as this is how almost all business is generated.
Google does it, OfficeMax does it, TigerDirect Does it, in fact I don’t think there is any business out there that is not offering an affiliate or referral program of some sort.
It’s good sound business practice and nothing wrong with this at all.
Being vague about it is deliberate as it has to do with the ROI (return on investment) your either interested in evaluating a business opportunity or your not.
Wasting lots of time and money giving radio or tv presentations to people who are not interested is simply not good business spending.
I don’t like it either but it’s the nature of advertising unfortunately and you have to target market the business to those who will spend time calling, talking and looking or evaluating the opportunity.
If someone is not willing to spend 5 min. on the phone to find out more about it, then I would say that I don’t want to even waste the 5 min. talking to them either.
I personally am not involved with Herbal Life as the poster has indicated this is the final biz op, but I am familiar with the business and do not find it a scam.
To summarize:
It’s not a scam and neither is MLM which is highly regulated by the federal government.
Conclusion:
2) types of people but mainly only 1 type get scammed.
1. This person is more likely to get scammed – a person who is not happy with their current circumstances and wants change but does not have any defined goal or dreams. This person can easily be sold by the best salesmen who gets them excited emotionally.
2. This person is less likely to be scammed – this person has defined goals and defined dream and thus has some direction; and may be looking for a business opportunity but is looking more for the legitimacy of the business and not the emotional hype at all. In fact this person does not really care about the hype but only the logic and legality of it all.It can be quite a boring business and they need no motivation or excitement to determine if a business works or not.
I hope this helps
Happy posting
P.S
this is the same subject with politics as well. |

I inquired about this company a couple of weeks ago and then, found this site on the reviews. I decided not to go with this company because of the reviews. I received a call from them today. The lady was very shady when talking to me about the company. I started asking her questions about the product and money that you have to pay up front. She said it’s only $9.95. I questioned her about them charging you more money after the 14 days are up. She began to get very defensive and claim she didn’t know about that nor did she know about the product. Once I told her that I wouldn’t invest money in a company that was being shady about how their business operates, she hung up the phone. If this was a real core value company, then, they wouldn’t treat their potential investors like that. She called me to get me started with their company and she didn’t know about the financial aspects nor the product!? Come on now, this isn’t a very honest operation. Be careful. |

I am truly amazed that some of the people who have weighed in on this issue are actually defending people such as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. The fact is that it is all about money. While the radio station sells advertising to companies such as this, the host often talks directly about these scams and should be held accountable to their viewers. Many of the hosts encourage people to specifically ask people to put their name in an order to ensure that you get a “discount.”
While you may get a discount, the real reason they want you to specify their name is that their results can be measured and turned into dolla**pecifically tied to that host. Because the host is making money off of their pushing product, they should without question be held accountable for the financial loss of their listeners. Lastly, it is very clear that the right wing pushes this kind of stuff to make money. Often they will say that they have checked out the company and put their support on the line, yet they really know nothing about it. Someone who has been scammed should sue the MLM company and name the radio host as a defendant as well. |

Yes I heard this ad “during” the Rush show. How ever it was when he took a break and the station came on with the ad.
By the way the reason companies buy ads with clear channel and have them aired during Rushes broad cast is the # of listeners
Same thing with fox. A advertiser wants to spend money where there is the most traffic and the ones with the most traffic cost more. I learned this years ago advertising in magazines. You look for the circulation # Then check the advertising fees
Oh bye the way some of the liberal broad cast are laying off. |

Incomeathome.com is affiliated with Herbalife. It is an MLM company like Tupperware or May Kay. If you have a background in sales and business, you would probably do well at this, otherwise, find a different way to make money. With a great deal of hard work, you can succeed at this. Most people go in thinking it’s easy money. It’s hard work like any other job, the difference is that it’s your own business and so you set your own terms.

I can’t believe with all the public info on Google on Herbalife, and how this company has taken millions and millions of dollars from people who joined believing the hype that they were going to make if not a good amount of money, at least enough to live on, that people are still falling for this dishonest company’s claims.
No, Herbalife is not a scam in the typical sense, in that they don’t just outright take your money and you get nothing in return. But yes, it is a scam in the sense that they promise you the world, that you will make lots of money by joining and paying their fees, but yet the VAST MAJORITY of those who join don’t make enough money, if any at all, to justify the money they spent on this program.
Let’s make one thing clear here: Those who DO make money at Herbalife 99% of the time do so by getting others to join and pay membership fees and buy products to re-sell. These people get a percentage of all fee’s that new members pay, so the more people they can trick into joining, the more money they make. Notice that I have not mentioned they make money from selling the actual Herbalife products -that doesn’t sound right, now does it? Let me elaborate on that a bit please..
Do you know a single person who has an Herbalife product in their home? Have you ever purchased an Herbalife product? Neither have I. Chances are your not only going to say No, but you wouldn’t even begin to know where to get an Herbalife product. And that’s where this whole scheme becomes crystal clear folks: Nobody except a very small percentage of people are buying Herbalife products, and usually those are people buying it to sell to others, so if Herbalife isn’t really making their money by selling their products (again..how many people do you know have Herbalife ANYTHING in their homes?), then how are they making their money? Answer: They are making their money by charging membership fees and selling products to people who then can’t find any buyers for these products, which means they just wasted a lot of money on Herbalife products that will just sit in their home or be thrown away. Is that a scam? Well, maybe not in the traditional way, after all people ARE getting products to sell. But if a company knows that most re-sellers who buy their products won’t be able to find a public to sell them to, so they have lost their investment, yet they keep making advertisements saying the skies the limit on profits, does that make it an honest company, or one that is blatantly using false advertising to gain profits from a gullible public?
The answer is clear to me: Herbalife is a dishonest company making false promises and bilking the gullible public out of millions of dollars every year in membership fees and product costs by placing new and enticing ad’s on the airwaves every year, luring those in who believed their false promises. |

Just consider the fact the ad never tells you what the product is that you will sell. If it were that great a product they would tell you what it is you would be doing. Instead, they sell the dream. Think about a company that talks about rewards without first telling you what is involved. This company could choose to actually market its product on the radio, but it doesn’t. Why is that? It is because they think you may not buy the product on its own merit, but you think you can get rich in their system. Speaking for myself, my opinion is that if a company won’t even tell you it sells then what it sells is probably snake oil. |

I thought there must be something funny going on with this incomeathome thing. I went to their web site and they never tell you what it’s all about until you’ve given your name and address and committed to the initial investment. Herballife? That junk has been around for years. I remember seeing signs for the stuff plastered on telephone poles. This is a scam through and through. I am also really disappointed that so many of my favorite radio talkers are being sponsored by this outfit. It is a scam people. You can’t make real money by working 5-7 hours a week. And if I hear that stupid commercial one more time (“I have to tell you it’s best decision I ever made.”) I think I’ll scream. |

This is a total scam. Why not be upfront about being herbal life so we could make the decision from the beginning about selling products. I payed the 9.95 fee to get the information.
I listened to all the hype on the dvd and read all the testimonials in the brochure. Not until I spoke to a representative did she tell me it was herbal life. They also charged me the 39.95 for the disk because it was not returned within the 14 days. I received the disk on dec 14 and was charged the extra on the 26th. My math says that’s not even 14 days.
They had no explanation other than it must be a glitch in the system. RIGHT!!! I am also disappointed that Rush Limbaugh would endorse something like this. It just goes to show money can buy you anything. |

I was on here poking around for some other information on working from home and came upon this. From everything I have read here, I actually went and checked out this site. What I interpreted from their website was that they are looking for Entrepreneurs first and foremost. If you are not looking to own your own business, then this would not be for you. You are probably looking for a home based JOB. Without entering any information, I found out that incomeathome.com is only a link to Online Business Systems. Online Business has a fair reputation with the BBB and has little or no unresolved complaints. Have any of you checked out the people doing the testimonies? I did and they are real people not actors. This company has been around for many years – scams do not last that long now do they. Right at the bottom of their site they state they are affiliated with Herbalife. Checked their site out too. Good info on their…products developed by widely recognized doctors (a Noble Peace Prize Lauriet doc is one, and a triathelete is another). Not to mention the CEO who once ran Disney. My point is simple. Believe what you want, but to me this is a valid opportunity that has lasted through a few recessions, created stable incomes for people all over the world, and if you care to look, has helped many people in our own back yards who need help personally (not business wise) to get back on their feet. This sounds like a solid organization to me.

If it was free..what profit would the company make? come on now. If you never invested your money..You SHOULD not call this a scam. Read everything before pre-assuming! |

I got involved with OBS by responding to an ad for a home business. Yes it is Herbalife and I have lost a fair bit of weight with no effort and no exercise. I am thrilled that the weight is coming off and I still eat chocolates and chips most days! Like Amanda said you need to be a product of the products to sell weight loss convincingly and honestly and that's what I intend to do. I started with the intention of a home business but have so far found a real opportunity to improve my health which I am grateful for. No longer am I as interested in the sales side but the results I'm achieving. If I happen to sell, that's great but it's not what is the most important thing for me. I am very happy with my results so far but I do admit that the way the whole thing was marketed was in my opinion deceptive and I felt done over. Let me also point out that there is no minimum to buy or spend and no one has hassled me to sell, sell, sell. And you can always cut your losses and quit if you want to. So even with the deceptive nature of the marketing system, I am still happy that I got started on my weight loss journey because I wouldn't have done it otherwise. My family and friends have noticed the difference in me and the products really work. It's just a shame that the introduction was not open and up front. |

I just want to say that national radio spots are not necessarily sponsored by the radio talk show himself. Some buy local ads, and national ads are sold as well. So to say Rush is advertising a scam on his radio show is not true. He's only responsible for the ones he sells himself on the air; not the ones that the radio station sells. |

I have heard the ad on radio talk shows as well. Thanks for the heads up. Ad revenues are way way down for print and media. These radio programs need operating cash to stay alive. These advertisers have the cash and are appealing to people in desperate circumstances (look at the unemployment rate). I keep reading that gold is a poor investment, but look at all the companies pushing gold investments. They keep using the slogan "gold has never been worth nothing!". What a statement. So how do I know if any of the links on this page are legitimate? Does anyone know of a truly legitimate online marketing opportunity? Thanks. |

MLM's are worthy opportunities but aren't for the faint of heart. Constant vigilance is required to ever make it or make a buck. The reason Herbalife has to package things this way is cause their product isn't any good. Get a good product that is consumable that people actually want to revisit month after month without hesitation then you will have something. Until then I suggest selling encyclopedias door to door. |

I am happy to see this education being made available regarding these work at home schemes. I also came here to see what all the to-do was about. And, reading one of the comments reminded me that these radio stations are able to be on the air solely due to advertisement revenue. So, they do not necessarily endorse the products they "read about" on the air.
I do not agree that all MLM business are shams. I have been with a very reputable org. for 12 years, and they are wonderful. They have a highly researched product which I am pleased to be able to offer to make people's lives better. They do all the billing and shipping, leaving nothing for the distributor but education about the product (4 items,) and filling out a single form. Also, there is very little up front money needed to get started (easily less than $100,). and no inventory to deal with. A 6-digit income can be easily accomplished.
So, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater; although, there is plenty of dirty water out there! |

I have it on good authority that 97-98% of all these work from home make 5,000 a month work in your PJs are all scams, Don't get taken for a ride you all work too hard for the money you earn . If you wanna make money from home think of what you like to do and if its a service or a product then make it available to the Public , I my self am working on a great chili recipe that is sure to put Nalley's out of the chili business for ever. This is for all of you out there that think that this is "endorsed" by Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Clark Howard et al. The radio shows sell advertising time to anyone who has the money to buy it. It doesn't matter who you are. You hear these ads on these shows, because they are successful shows. People listen to them. That is how advertising works. Tell your spiel to the biggest audience and you will sell more products or services or whatever. I have heard this same ad on other format radio shows as well. That would be on music stations. Not just talk radio. The ad is heard where the most people are likely to hear it. The main thing to remember is IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS!! I just wanted to share my thoughts with all of you. Thank you and have a great day! |
Rob Orlando | 9:02am on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 |
This is a shame! And I heard about this on talk radio as well so I Googled it and here I am. Very informative.
I’ve been involved with several MLM companies starting with the big A, who sells everything, to a few smaller companies … some good and some not so good. I even almost fell for a true pyramid scheme years ago (where you buy in for a certain amount, then get 5 or 10 others to buy in for that amount and you make some money off of them, and then you help them to get people to buy in and you make money off of them as well, and so on. No product … just a dream of getting rich … or maybe it’s just a nightmare.) And, I’m still trying to figure out what the “real” product is with this company.
Back to the MLM. I found a couple of companies that I was successful with: unfortunately, they weren’t as successful as I was but I learned some valuable lessons. Too many people think of MLM as “Get rich quick opportunities” but aren’t willing or aren’t able to put in the time required to make it a success. It takes a lot of hard work and usually quite awhile to build up a business.
So, if you choose to pursue any MLM, do your research (which you obviously are doing because you’re here.) I’ve jotted down some points that will, hopefully, help:
Does this program offer a legitimate real product? Is it a quality product? Are the products fairly priced?
Is there a demand for the product or is it in market that is growing?
How stable is the company? How qualified is the management?
Does the company have a proven system?
Does it offer enough tools, training and resources to aid in your success?
How much is your initial investment going to be as well as any subsequent expenses?
What are the downsides of this venture?
Are there any complaints against the company?
Check out its compensation plan:
Will you be rewarded fairly for your efforts?
Are there any minimum quotas you must meet before you get any compensation?
Does it include residual income?
On a personal level:
Is this program something that you like, are qualified for or have some interest in? (It’s harder to sell something you don’t believe in, and MLM does involve selling; but you sell whatever you believe in everyday).
What do you want to get out of the program? What are your goals?
How much time and money can you devote to it?
Are you willing to commit to the program?
And for the political zealots: I have an ex-wife that thought that if she had a checkbook, she could buy whatever she wanted. When she maxed out her credit cards, she just got another one. She was able to buy a house she couldn’t afford and now, because of the economy, she’s broke and lives in a trailer. I do not wish to live in a trailer so I live within my means and have been blessed with a J-O-B that almost satisfies me both financially and mentally. However, because I had to take a significant pay cut to keep it for now, I’m not sure of the future so I’m revisiting MLM again. I’m seeking an opportunity that will provide not only a supplemental income now but will give me the chance to retire from my JOB in the future.
MLM can be fun and can be very rewarding if you can keep everything in perspective. Just don’t expect too much too quick or you will surely be disappointed. |

Run away fast......If you sign up, a woman from Arizona contacts you by phone the next day and it is impossible to get the facts from her about the product to be sold.
If they have that much of a hard time telling you about the product, it must be bogus! I did more research and found out that it was Herbal Life! The BBB also had numerous complaints such as: very late deliveries of products, poor refund policies and very HIGH PRESSURE from the management to sell, sell, sell!
Just a word of caution, when I bailed out of this disaster, my phone number was sold to "work at home" internet websites all over Arizona and Colorado (and Google)I might add. These people call all day long and into the night, sometimes as late as 10:30pm.
I am going to file a complaint with the BBB and if it continues, will file complaints with the Attorney Generals in both of those states.

Hey Guys,
We are all looking to make extra income. And perhaps some of us are looking to quite our jobs, and find a career from home to supplement our income. Buy some gold, silver, and buy stocks with companies that are going green etc. and off course do all your research. Take the herb and feel the energy. But MLM's are not for me. These companies make money buy advertising.
Find something you enjoy. Because God knows, times are only going to get tougher, as life as we know it now will change forever. |

I hate meatloaf. My mother used to make it for dinner. I'd eat the veggies but avoid the meatloaf. She would serve it the next day in a sandwich covered with tomato, onion and lettuce. She called it a Yankee Sandwich (because she knew I was a big Yankees fan). Looked a whole lot better than the meatloaf just sitting on the platter. But you know what it tasted like? MEATLOAF!
This program is the same thing: They just took HerbaLife MLM practices and dressed it up with words like "Work at Home" and got a bunch of radio talk show whores to accept money to push it.
BUT IT'S STILL HERBA LIFE!
Ah yes... the term "Lipstick on a pig" sounds appropriate too.
Just remember: Just because a talk show host talks about it doesn't mean they're making a recommendation to you as your friend, they are doing it because they GET PAID to push the product as if it were laundry soap.
It's STILL Herba-Life, just in another form of MLM.

I don't think this is a Scam in the true sense of the word but a luring way of getting people to join a MLM company that some people have actually gotten rich off of. Any MLM company is very, very hard work but people can make money if they are cut out for this type of business. |

Fact: They do not tell you what the products is before payment- with statement of 90 day money back guarantee- so a person will put out $9.95 "shipping" to find out what they are buying!
Fact: Historically 3/4 of all "pay later plans" have already debited your credit card prior to the time frame allowed to decide.
READ the terms and agreement YOU WILL BE BILLED $39.95 IN 14 DAYS ON THIS ONE
Fact: ALMOST ALWAYS the purchaser is told that there is generally a minimum time frame of reimbursement of 30 days before you will see the credit back on your statement. (reimbursement does not include the "shipping" cost.)
I worked for a company that told us that they made a large ADDITIONAL revenue from:
1. the amount of shipping charge vs actual shipping cost
2. interest gained from cost billed and held for 30-90 days before returning
3. PAYMENTS FROM a large number of people who did not remember to cancel payment/ did not succeed in getting payment canceled in appropriate time frame/ gave up trying to cancel.
( additional revenue is made from gift cards similarly
Sell gift card =have money for indeterminate time making profit before SOME of them are used. Do you know how many remaining 1+ dollar balances are forgotten about or just thrown away as well as cards never used.)
Finally: read their privacy statement particularly under: Information use and sharing as well as Third party sites! THEY ARE GOING TO SELL YOUR INFORMATION TO OTHERS?!?! hmmm another profit for them!! |

I am on this site to also find out if the online business center add i answered for a work at home opportunity is a scam or not. As i read through i discovered it may possibly be Herbalife. I have tried herbalife, in the beginning i was only purchasing the product for my self to use as a weight loss program and found myself being in a position of selling the product. You need to purchase many up front products to stock before u can sell them all from ur own pocket. You had to become a product of the product to be proud of what ur selling, I found it not very exciting having to swallow 10 to 12 pills a day at certain times of the day. However just because i didnt like it does not mean it can't work for you. You do need to buy and stock products before u can make any money and then try to sell them but i found u needed a story to share, You can't sell weight loss and well being products if you are over weight or dont feel good. As i said before to make money with Herbalife you need to become a product of the product, like drinking shakes up to 2 times a day and swallowing heaps of pills (vitamins and Herbs)
I, in no way am intending to put Herbalife down i am simply sharing my experience for those who are looking for the information. |

Remember the saying if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Another company to be aware of is ACN. They are as close to a pyramid scheme as you can get. They promote selling things like video phones and changing your various phone, tv services but the main way of making money is to get other people listed below you. Supposedly their making money helps you make money. Stay away from that one too. It doesn't matter that the company trades on Donald Trump they are still a no win idea. |

Here we go again. Many Americans would love to truly work from home. Yet every month a new version of this old school scam, MLM, or whatever you want to call it comes out. No real physical product, but the promise of a proven system. Finally you find out hundreds or thousands of dollars later that what they want you to do is sell the idea that others can make money this way. That is it just the idea and no real product. This type of activity should be considered illegal and banned in the US. |

I love talk radio, but we need to remember something... its job is to make money and their money comes from advertisers. Just because some ad is on Limbaugh, Beck or another show does not mean its a great product.
Do some research on this IncomeAtHome scam. You will find out that is just what it is. Run away as fast as you can! |

Does anyone have an actual informed comment on the incomeathome system or not? Has anyone actually tried the system and been successful? Tried it and not been successful? I have time and determination but DOES IT WORK?!
BTW... Righties and Lefties... knock it off. People sign on to this site to get a review of a product, not listen to your childish rants. Talk radio is entertainment, TV news (all networks) has turned into the same. If you want the facts try doing some good ol' fashioned research... it will do both sides some good and you'll find that both sides of the isle are pretty much full of it; and you'll discover you probably actually have more in common than you think. |

But let's be fair here. There are several conservatives who have promoted this scam. There are also some flaming liberals (Randi Rhodes, etc.) who say the same thing. This isn't about politics. It is about a company doing a number on the public. But then again, politicians play the same game, don't they? |

What a scam. I heard this on the Mike Gallagher show and logged on. No mention about any product. As I was about to navigate away, IM starts with all the free and wonderful offers if I act now. I repeatedly asked what it is that they sell and was totally ignored by the person typing the BS. If you're not proud of what you are working for and selling, clearly the product is garbage. |
Skybuilder Biloxi, MS | 8:53pm on Monday, June 22nd, 2009 |
DO NOT TOUCH!!!!
To start off, I don't know that this is actually Herbalife. I've not tried to go any farther than checking out the claims of Incomeathome.com and found this review board.
IF, and I say again IF it is Herbalife then RUN in the other direction.
I got involved with Herbalife back in the early '80's when they were just starting to face some legal battles over some claims they were making. I thought the founder was under indictment at the time, guess not. A friend took me to a convention and man were they wound up over these products. I had sold Shackley vitamins before this and thought that MLM's would be the ticket to my fame and fortune but alas they only cost me a fortune and the pressure to beat on my friends and family for more sales was intense. Does AMWAY ring any bells???
Any way you get my point. Just GOOGLE Herbalife and look at the Wikipedia page and you should get all the discouragement you shall ever need to spend even 1 red cent on it.
I agree with the ebay suggestion. Find a source for a product or line of products and begin to write your own adds and it will surely pay off.
Times like these call for more research and prudence when taking a risk with what may be next weeks milk and egg money. Please be careful and chomp down on the bit a little harder before you take off on some wild adventure.

Have not used the program but have this to say about it. ANY company that does not UP FRONT tell you whom they are, what their real name is , where is their base, their location, is not operating honestly.
The company should not ask for ten dollars (and let people think that it is only ten dollars) and then ask for a monthly fee . (I have not invested nor inquired. This note is a general note about scam/no scam items. |

I love the aforementioned talk-shows. I do not always agree, but find that their recommendations of business's and products are sound. As for Herbalife - it is a great product! I and my husband have used it for some, with wonderful results - we FEEL better, we SLEEP better, and we have more even energy!
Don't listen to the skeptics-to many of them judge companies/product just by political associations and that is just plain STUPID.

There are only two ways I'v found to make money on the web. One is selling on E-Bay and the other is to start a web page that is interesting and market it through pay-per-click. Then have some affiliate links and use AOL Ads. I've worked up to making an extra $200/mo on the average
As far as the politics go I think one should believe in a product they endorse. Not just do it for the money. That's something called integrity. |

Why don't you people get a life? Just because you heard it on a "conservative" program means one of a couple of things. Either you are a liberal looking for a reason to dislike who ever the host is or a conservative listening to get some reasonable information. Whichever you are, the simple fact is "if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is". Advertising is a scam - period - the end. |

Where exactly do you people think that the talk show hosts get their income? They sell advertising. Their advertisements are purchased and sold without prejudice... if you have the money, they will promote your product. Their advertisements have nothing whatsoever to do with their views, liberal or conservative, and if you judge a show based on what they advertise, or something being advertised based on a show, you're a flipping moron.

It is just like anything else,or any other job...it takes hard work and determination to get ahead.
