Google Riches Review
Is Google Riches a Scam...?
Google Riches, is the latest work from home Google kit to hit the internet. Advertisements for these kits have been appearing everywhere imaginable, from yahoo mail to popular entertainment and news sites.
In fact offers like Google Riches have wreaked such havoc on the public that Google has begun banning advertising accounts of marketers promoting these offers. This is primarily due to an FTC investigation targeting these types of offers and actions taken by several Attorney Generals offices.
However, as evident by the release of Google Riches the creators of these programs are undeterred and seemingly have found new ways to keep their offers in rotation.
So Why Are Programs Like Google Riches Under Fire...?
The main reason for the thousands of complaints filed against these guys is because of the deceptive billing policy they employ. They advertise their offer as a free kit that you can get instantly just by paying for shipping and handling.
However, they purposefully avoid disclosing the real costs of their programs, after you submit your payment info for the S&H you have 3-7 days to cancel or face a large monthly fee. The only place where this is revealed is in the terms and conditions buried among paragraphs of legal clauses.
To make matters worse often times these programs sign you up for trials of additional products that you never even wanted. Then you're faced with monthly charges from multiple companies and before you know it this free kit ends up costing you hundreds of dollars a month.
In this specific case of Google Riches they charge you $5.95 for shipping and you'll have six days from the date you order to evaluate the product. After six days they'll charge you $84.79 for the first month, and a rate of $84.79 every month from the signup date thereafter until you cancel. Additionally, you'll be charged $6.82/month for a Health Tracker subscription.
So is Google Riches a Scam...?
The only difference between Google Riches and the programs targeted by the authorities is that it seems this program is making more of an effort to reveal all the costs and make canceling easier. There's a banner about the additional program at the bottom of the page along with links to cancel each program.
If you missed these and don't want the monthly charges you can cancel Google Riches by visiting http://makegooglefastcash.com/help and cancel Health Tracker at, http://health-tracker.com/cancel. If you need to return your products their address is 51 West Center Street #622, Orem, UT, 84057 and if you're having difficulty canceling online the customer support phone is: 866-737-8571.
Now as to the actual product, what they send you is a DVD of eBooks on how to use Google AdWords Pay-Per-Click advertising system to market products. From past complaints it's clear that these DVDs had scattered info and were definitely not worth the high monthly fee.
The bottom line is this, if Google Riches was selling legitimate info on how to start an online business why would they resort to these shady billing techniques? It's very clear that they want to trick people into at least one monthly payment before they realize what's going on and cancel. An honest company would not do this.

Comments to date: 13. Page 1 of 1. Average Rating: Piper Oakland, CA | 6:09pm on Friday, March 26th, 2010 | They sent me a bill for over $180 saying my credit card was declined. Uh, maybe because that account has been closed for a few years. Apparantly someone stole the card number and tried to use it fraudulently but it was closed so they got nowhere with it. But now I'm going into collections because I won't pay the nearly $200 for something I never ordered or even knew about.
This bs is a HUGE scam!!! |

aaron Los Angeles | 4:27am on Monday, October 5th, 2009 | I was very tempted to buy the google riches program. But I decided to research more and i found more upset people than happy people. The questions i have for those unhappy people are 1)Did u guys even attempt to work the program for the one month they bill you for to break even at least? 2) What can be done by google for "google riches" scamming people?
3) Did you not realize it was online MLM? (Multi Level Marketing) |
Robert Wright Dallas, TX | 6:25pm on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 | Charged 49.86 a month after I canceled in the beginning. Customer service Manager will give Emp number and first name. Owner of company is "run by stockholders" so says Mike. Their address in Phoenix is a Mail Box. I think the Texas Atty General and the FBI need to stop these guys. My debit card called their bank. Need to send the treasury agents like in the old prohibition days with fire axes. |
Kenny Tampa | 3:55pm on Monday, September 28th, 2009 | Luckily for me my bank sent me a new card before too many charges posted. (by sheer chance) However I still was charged $129.49 and I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!
Any ideas on how to get your money back? because when I called, the little weasel told me no refunds |
Tracy Illinois | 2:26pm on Monday, August 31st, 2009 | SCAM for sure is all i can say. I tried to cancel after just 1 hour and they had already started charging my card. i had to cancel my card!!!!!!!!!!!! |
J. Norris St Petersburg ,Florida | 5:54pm on Saturday, August 29th, 2009 | Of all the programs advertised on the Internet to make additional revenue, this is by far the most unscrupulous and objectionable.I am a senior of near to seventy years and on a very limited income.
I sent for this cd and I have never received it anything pertaining to "Google Riches". After about a month ,I received a statement on my credit card to pay what was to me , an exorbitant amount of money which , to my understanding ,was expected monthly. I called my credit card provider and was able to get a number to call .I called and told the person answering that I had no intention of paying what they were charging.Instead I said I would be writing the Secretary of State and the Better Business Bureau.I then called my credit card provider (F.I.A.) card services .the financial annalist I talked to told me to call back within sixty days if any more charges made to my credit card.I hope Denna that you get satisfaction .It has been thoroughly frustrating to have to go to so much trouble to maintain your good financial credit status.I wish you luck in getting the justice you deserve. |

Jonathan United States | 10:27am on Monday, August 24th, 2009 | this is the biggest ripoff scam on the market. I was promised a kit in 6 to 10 business days it never came in the mean time I was charged 84.79 twice in the space of 4 business days. I called to dispute the charge the agent said that because i had logged in to the website i could not get a refund. the website i was taken to was a site to return the product. there was nothing about how to make money on Google. AGAIN THIS IS A RIP OFF DO NOT JOIN. |
Denna Tucson | 10:37am on Friday, July 31st, 2009 | I was also scammed by Google Riches. First thing....CLOSE YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT ACCOUNT so they can't take any more money. Don't bother calling the phone number because you will get a recording that says "mailboxes are full and not taking calls". don't bother trying to e-mail them because the addresses don't go anywhere... message says it is not an address. I went to the Better Business bureau and they couldn't contact them.
The listing I found on a "scam information site" that lists pages and pages of scams and they classified google riches as "off shore" which must mean it's from another country. All I can say is at least my mistake only cost $98.00. Many people have lost thousands.
PS if you read the fine print you will see that it is not affiliated with Google.I think Google should get involved though because people are using their name. |
Denna Tucson | 7:46pm on Thursday, July 30th, 2009 | This is a true scam. I signed up and noticed in the fine print about the $98.00 charge. I immediately tried to call them... phone message said mail boxes were full and not accepting calls. I e-mailed them at 2 different address, including the one they used to charge my bank account. Sites didn't exist. Called the Better Business Bureau and they couldn't locate them. I finally closed my debit card account. I will see if THAT works!!! |
