Even though Gary Halbert is a good writer and has a lot of knowledge to share he did get into some serious trouble with the law. He got into the nasty habit of taking peoples money without delivering them his product. After the amount of dissatisfied people grew enough to be noticed by the authorities Gary Halbert was charged with fraud and sentenced to a jail term.

Gary bounced back after serving his time. He began speaking at seminars for other people as well as his own direct marketing events. He was also involved in a stock market seminar and published a book called "The World of Your Name," which is about the history of names.

Overall, Gary does have talent for the written word especially when it deals with sales or marketing. Gary Halbert tends to resist some modern developments of marketing and relies mostly on teaching his unique writing methods.
