FreelanceHomeWriters Review

Is Freelance Home Writers a Scam...?

FreeLanceHomeWriters.com is a website that claims to show you a variety of ways to make money online writing.  And as the title suggests this is freelance work, meaning you work for yourself and will be paid on a per-job basis.

If you're like me then you've had it up to here with bogus data entry and type at home websites which simply sell you a disguised Google AdWords marketing course in place of the writing work they promised.

...So is FreeLanceHomeWriters.com the Real Deal or a Cleverly Disguised Scam?

I want to tell you what's inside the members section of FreeLanceHomeWriters so that you know exactly what you're getting before you join.  This way you can decide for yourself if it's a scam or not.

First of it's important to understand that this is a resource for freelance writers, this means that they are not guaranteeing you any work, all that they're promising is to teach you the ropes of this business and provide you with freelance job leads.

It will be up to you to bid on job, meet the qualifications, and negotiate the pay, in the field of freelance writing it's simply impossible for someone else to do this for you.

...What's Inside FreelanceHomeWriters.com?

When you first login to the members section you'll notice that there's a lot of info.  Before you get started I recommend reading through the Freelance Home Writers Basic Training Guidebook.

It will provide you with all the essentials you need to get started in your new career as a freelance home writer. This guide will help you position yourself as an expert so you can get hired for more jobs at a higher pay rate using their job finding software.

There's also a multimedia presentation of how to use the job hosting websites partnered with FreelanceHomeWriters.com.  These videos will take you through each step of successfully bidding on the job and managing your accounts.

And Finally, the most important feature of FreelanceHomeWriters.com, the patented Job Finding Software.  At the click of a button this tool provides you with freelance job positions from dozens of categories.

These job posts vary in technical qualifications with some requiring more skilled writers but with the majority accepting folks with no experience at all.

...Why Are There So Many Complaints for FreelanceHomeWriters.com?

The negative comments and complaints about this company primarily stem from their billing process.  They offer a 7 day trial period of their services for $2.95.  If you do not cancel in time they will begin auto-billing your credit card for $47 per month.

If you've signed up for this service and wish to cancel you can reach FreelanceHomeWriters at 1-800-750-7660 Monday-Friday 9am-12am Central Standard Time.

Overall the resources and services provided by this company can be helpful to freelance writers but for the high monthly fee the benefits are just not worth it in my opinion.  Since their software generates job leads by searching several freelance job posting sites you can save yourself the monthly fee and simply do the job searches on your own.

Note: If you are at this website because you're looking for a way to make money online then you should check out my top recommendation. It's the best method I've found that anyone can use to earn an income from home, Click Here.

I have not signed up for this.

It is obviously a scam, when they Email you everyday then ask for your email address to register.

They know it.

I am also desperate to find some work from home.

Stay away from this lot people.

Anyone can find good freelance jobs on the Internet without having to pay for information. There are several websites for freelancers, and the best ones are those where you do not have to pay.

For people looking to hire a freelance writer, completely avoid Deb Brown of Snellville, Georgia. She is on ifreelance.com and is a horrible person. She fails to complete awarded projects, is a liar, has poor English skills, and always has many spelling and grammar errors.

Thanks to all of you who took the time to write. After reading (over & over) about your similar bad experiences, one would have to be a complete idiot to deal with Freelancehomewriters.com. I need the work, but I sure as heck don't need a scam. Thanks again.

these people are like all other on-line businesses now...a scam. they steal your money without conscience. I canceled this service 2 months ago and yesterday got billed $47. I advise not to participate in these unethical business practices and to dispute every charge. BIG SCAM

freelancehomewriters.com is pulling the Craigslist bait and switch under a new name freelancewritersplacement.com,
but when you get to that site the graphics are for the old name.

They claim a "median" income of $775/week. I would love to talk a writer making that much from a site that needs to employ these tactics to recruit.

Really, if writers were making that much we would be sharing the site on our blogs and it wouldn't need to waste time posting to Craigslist.

So someone is posting in craiglist that they need a copy writer, and pay something like $20 per 300 words which is good compared to sites like textbroker, the lady emails me back with a real formal obviously automatic reply directing me to register at freelancehomewriters, and of course her email once undisguised by craiglist is blablalba@frelancehomewriters, which is what prompted me here, and now i'm so angry that craigslist is so overrun with internet scams and spam, this is the second one this week

Listen... I have worked for these companies before and YES they are scams...

I was 18, fresh out of highschool... then it was the typing and reading and buy government homes and cars at auction. I am from Santa Barbara, where all these telemarketing companies began. Anyway, I did that for about 6 months.

Then about 8 years later, went to work for a company in Goleta as a temporary accountant. Turns out it's the same kind of company except this time it was start your own business, write for income, talent websites, start you're own website... etc. All of these programs under one roof, one company... it's a scam. Anyway, that's not to say that some people didn't benefit from the information but the question is, was it worth the money they paid? Nope...

They have no idea what they are talking about, they lift most of the info from other books as well as information they found on the web.

I responded to this ad but when I got the reply, I knew immediately it was a scam.

FreelanceHomeWriters.com Is a big Scam. I would advise all who have fallen for this to go to FBI/gov. And file a complaint. Also contact your local sheriff depart and file a complaint. Call your banks and credit card company's. To get your money credited to your account they will be investigated and shut down.

I ordered program very excited and look at it for 6 days and read over all materials between the 1st and 6th day. I liked what I saw, so on the 7th day I chose to cancel my 7 day TRIAL and bought the ADVANCE membership for $97.00. Company reps promised me 3 months at $97.00 and only $9.95 months vs. $14.95 month since I upgraded to VIP membership. But on the 32nd day into VIP membership, company cancelled my membership, charged me $97.00, refused to refund money even though they cancelled a month before my 8 week trial was up. THEY STINK AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES, LEACHING OFF POOR FOLKS LIKE ME out of work, spending what little we have to try to get into a home business...THEY ARE LEACHES WITHOUT ANY CONSCIOUS!!!!!!!

FreelanceHomeWriters.com - is a complete scam. That is, they lie on their web site and mislead on the services.

1. they charge $2.95 to signup while announcing 100% refunds if not satisfied.
2. they promise access to job offers.
...

turns out... the $2.95 is NOT refundable and they cite some fine print hidden in the online notifications (you know... the stuff we never read 'cause it's hidden away or too small). So, 100% refundable notice on the display is a lie.

turns out... that the sites where there are presumably some job offers (or it's actually an opportunity to "bid" for jobs offers) are associated with other pay sites.

turns out... they share your email & phone information with OTHER advertising offers who call on voice using your cell phone minutes to try to sell you a deal that they can barely even explain over the phone.

turns out... by paying your $2.95,... you've signed up to be charged ANOTHER $47.00 each and every month.

>> I can't even trust that they have canceled my account as I insisted.

thank you so much for posting this article and the comments... the comments all looked suspicious to me on the websites because they all had correct punctuation and you weren't allowed to post any comments of your own. Other websites promoting this website were sketchy as well, the links weren't clickable and the links that were clickable the websites didn't seem legit and there was limited information. Usually companies build up their website because its an easy way to have consumers interact and become more informed about the company

I have recieved very good call back response. I signed up yesterday and have had two support calls since then. That is 2 calls in less than 24 hours. I am not afraid of doing the WORK involved in making a successful career. They were very honest about the amount of money and how long it would take. They told me up front that it was up to me and how much effort i put into it. I will reserve judgment on the materials until I get them, but so far they have lived up to all the promises they have made. I do not work for Freelance Home Writers and did not get paid to write this commentary. If you want to get rich without doing any work this site and company is not for you. If you are willing to put the time in, they have very good resources to offer. I will add to this comment in a couple of months after giving the system a real effort.

Last night I responded to a supposed freelance ghost-writing spot listed on Craig's List only to get an immediate email noting that there had been many responses to the ad and directing me to the Web site InstantTypeJobs.com. That turned out to be FreelanceHomeWriters.com. Given this initial deceit, it would be foolish to expect value from this group.
My initial email had provided a resume and included info about my writing business, an LLC. Today I received a phone message offering to put my business in the leading financial publications -- specifically the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes and others-- for a mere $2,500 so venture capitalists would see it and provide VC funding. I've worked 20+ years in financial public relations and I know the NO ONE could possibly deliver on that promise.
Be careful, everybody. And good luck gaining writing gigs.

TOO MANY PEOPLE have been mislead.. After years of day-to-day activity on the computer, I had a similar experience with Wu-Yi Source and their "green tea" for weight lose.. I was charged the initial fee, and, for two months of membership.. I had to fill out an Affidavit for Unauthorized Use through my bank.. a pain and waste of time and energy.. I have been emailed repeatedly to participate in online, work at home jobs, opened it up, and was directed to homewriters.com. My past experience told me to look into it before I committed.. Thank you for verifying that this is a SCAM and that the scams are pervasive.. On-line customers are catching on..

It's a scam DON"T DO IT. I finally had to file a complaint with the federal trade commission cancel my credit card and file fraud charges with the credit company to get a refund after I had canceled within the 7 day period and Freelance had ensured me that all charges were refunded. It has taken 4 months of hardship and frustration in dealing with Freelance and they never solved the problem I had to.

This company IS an outright scam. My 7-day trial was to be up on Monday.I called to cancel the previous Friday and was told I had until Monday 4:30 pm. I called Sunday evening, got a recording, left cancellation message. Called again Monday morning, only to be informed the 47.00 billing had already been sent through. " It should take 7-10 days to refund". This company is nothing more than a clearinghouse scam. Beware to all buyers!!

THANK YOU. I have just read the information regarding this company at 11:40 pm CST and canceled my subscription (within the 7 day trial period) at 11:46 pm. I only hope that I will not get billed the $47.00, anyway. I lied stating that the card was stolen. I'll take the $2.95 charge to start the program as a lost. Again, thank you for doing this important research.

i'm grateful for all the feedback. i'm leary of anything that boasts the potential to make YOU a bunch of money, puts forth a bunch of effort to ADVERTISE that capacity (i've received a bunch of emails from these people), and then asks for access to your bank info. there are enough issues with identity theft to NOT want to give anyone access to your account. if it was THAT great a service, they wouldn't have to advertise on that level. we'd surely have heard about it already. for those who've been taken by the game, good luck with your disputes. for those who are fresh in, i hope it works out for you.

I believe this to be a SCAM. Even when you try to call back in the allotted time you cannot get through the lines. I have left several messages but do not intend to leave my credit information. I should not have to leave my credit information as the voicemail requests in order to get a return phone call. I intend to report them to a law enforcement agency that will investigate.

I have just used the phone number from your site - thanks very much - after reading your article on Freelance Home Writers and finding their website unavailable yet again. I was amazed that someone actually answered my call! A very pleasant young lady named Lauri who didn't argue about refunding my $47 which she advised would be forwarded as a cheque to my home address. She appeared genuine but I won't hold my breath as to the chances of receiving the refund but at least - hopefully - it is now canceled and that will be the end of that! Thanks again for the telephone info.

I'd just like to thank everyone for weighing in on this. I just got laid off from an off-line writing job and I've been looking into freelance writing on the internet. I almost went for this, til I read the reviews. Thanks so much for all of you out there who've taken the time to give feedback. Really appreciate it.

Anyone have any suggestions what sites are best to make a go of it freelance writing, editing, proofreading? I've been looking into GetAFreelancer, Scriptlance, Guru.com, Elance . . . So far none of my bids have been accepted, but I haven't given up hope yet.

I'd really appreciate hearing any stories anyone has or advice about how to make a go of it freelance writing (or other home jobs) on the net.

Again, thanks so much everyone for weighing in on this website.

THANK YOU FOR THIS REVIEW, STEVE.

And if it isn't somehow in bad taste--I'd love to hear from anyone about any more freelance websites for writers that seem to work reasonably. My time is pretty precious right now and I'd just as soon not go barking up any wrong trees.

I signed up to see if the website help would get me a job or two, and I thought the e-book was interesting. But job postings are from other sites so you can always go there directly instead of logging on to freelancehomewriters.com.

The problem I'm having is that it seems to be not so easy to cancel my membership. I called them and the customer service rep said that the system was down. I hope it's true and I will be able to cancel my membership before the 7-day trial ends.
It's kinda annoying that they don't have email support system.

I think FreelanceHomewriters.com is one of the most affordable information sites I've ever visited! I can't begin to tell you what valuable information I was able to gather from this site! If anyone tells you it's not worth the money... well I disagree! Not only are the training manuals printable, but the job bank is HUGE! I think this site could benefit just about anyone starting out in the freelance writing world! I know it has helped me!

I'm sure all the crap about canceling during your 7 day trial period is in the fine print but it still feels really shady. I called (left a voice mail because I couldn't reach anyone) to cancel but I received no follow-up. I called today and realized I'd been canceled and was out of the $47 I paid. I was willing to chalk that up to my-tough-luck but the so-called "customer service concierge" seemed none-too-eager to reinstate me or even offer to take more of my money. I mean, I'm a customer (they've taken money from me) yet they don't seem interested in offering any satisfaction.

I also want to do some work from home. So then i came across freelance home writers. Sure everything sounded good in the beginning, but what I didn't like was the fact that you had to bid on jobs. Well of course I didn't find that out until after I decided to join. Plus after that ,they had already decided to charge me the 47 dollars. So I searched for the phone number which is on the web site.
For those of you who didn't do a full complete search. I contacted them and they gave me back my money. I did speak to customer service and another thing that I didn't like was that all of the jobs may not be legit.

I want to begin by saying thank you to Steve Albright, the writer of this review article: FreelanceHomeWriters Review: Is Freelance Home Writers a Scam...?

I received an e-mail from Freelance Home Writers advertising their website and membership benefits on Monday January 19, 2009. As I began to read the e-mail, I was initially thrilled and captivated by it's claims of easy money writing from home; but, I soon came to my senses when that old adage came echoing in my head, "If it sounds too good to be true, than it most likely is too good to be true."

The internet is littered with SCAMS for fast riches and easy money from home doing little work. Don't fall for it.

Thanks again to Steve Albright for this review and insight.

So I received an E-mail today from someone with Freelance. I was on a job search and there was a job listed under "receptionist" didn't at all describe this. I wrote an e-mail to get more information and that's when I got to read all about writing and getting paid for it and making 3 thousand dollars a week for only a few hours of work a day. I knew it was a scam to begin with, and the fact that they had to be sneaky to get people to email them in the first place SCREAMS SCAM at me. I dont understand the way people work. stealing from people who just want to get through life.. in my case Im just trying to get a little extra cash while i get through school. I however did not sign up I googled freelance and got this page. Thank you very much to everyone I could have made a mistake and cant afford if I did not read this.so my last words are DON'T GET SUCKED INTO THIS SCAM.

Well Folks,
I hate to say it but ... I had to down grade this company to an even lower rating than I did with my last post.
As this reviewopedia site suggests. The problem is with the billing. I was billed twice for for $97 & once for the $2.95.
I had asked them to simply cancel out the one charge for $97.00 which would of made the account right. But instead, they canceled ALL my subscriptions ... but did not refund my money back into my account & expected me to pay ANOTHER $2.95 & ANOTHER $97.00 to make the account right again.
This would of brought my total paid for this service to $296.90 ... And I still did not receive activation of the VIP service's yet!

Can you spell S - C - A - M ? ... Sure you can. It is a shame. Because as I said with my last post, my initial review of the training material was positive. But plain & simple ... Their customer service SUCKS!

My advice ... Stay Away ... stay far, FAR away!

Stu Hannah   New Jersey, USA

2:32pm on Thursday, February 5th, 2009

Ok, I understand 'some' of the complaints about Freelance Home Writers Dot Com Course. But, not all.

I myself have had a problem with their site where I got stuck in the processing cycle of the Upgrade Page for the VIP Package. And I was billed twice for it. But, upon calling the customer service number provided by this site here (Thank-you reviewpedia by the way. Because this number was no wheres to be found on Freelance's site before you actually were sent notification that you were a trial member. Sorry but, THAT is NOT good!) The people at Freelance assured me that they would correct the problem. I haven't seen the adjustment yet. But, the girl I talked to seemed for real & also seemed like she genuinely wanted to do her best to try & help me. So, It has been a good customer service experiance thus far. I'll keep you posted though if any problems develop.

But, For a $97 up front fee you can get the service for "free" for three months (Uh ... Duh! ... Its NOT "free", you just paid $97 dollars for it!) and then pay $14.97 a month verse's the $47.00 a month that you would normally pay for the basic subscription after the two week trial was over. For an average monthly savings of $32.03 there after over the basic Subscription.

This upgrade also includes many extras such as other little e-books & how to manuals that are supposed to ensure ones success. However ... I have yet to see these manuals because they are still "processing" my order & trying to straighten out the double charge to my checking account. Freelance writing exec's ... if you are reading this ... Not good guys ... If you are going to have the public take you seriously ... You need to be more on the ball than that!

HOWEVER - From what I have seen as for as the "Basic Training" manual ... the is a well put together course! Everything I have seen & read so far has been very helpful. Great stuff!. But, the web site design that create the check-out capabilities of this site as well as the customer service side of this organization really need to get it together. Other wise ... the complaints are just going to keep on rolling in.

And yes folks ... As the literature states, you have to have at least a basic understanding of the English language &, have enough of a command of writing the English language as to write coherent sentence's. If you can't do that ... then you are barking up the wrong tree all together!

I have paid the Freelance Home Writer £2.05 in November in order to get more information from them.
I wasn't aware that I was committing myself to any further payments.
I was then pestered with further emails and phone calls and couldn't be more clear about the fact that I have no interest in joining the company.
I have only just realized that that took 3 more payments out of my bank account (over £30 each).
As far as I know I'm not getting anything in return for these payment.
I have tried to call the company but of course the number doesn't exist.
the fraud department in bank is looking into it at the moment.

I joined late last night for the $2.95 trial. I got cold feet, saw some shocking reviews about what a SCAM it is and called my credit card provider this morning to cancel my card. I had already been billed me for the 2 smaller amounts(1 for the trial and one to join 'Elance' which I needed to view the jobs). They had also billed me $153 which I had not agreed to. Shocking shocking shocking!
I have never fallen for something like this before. What happened was that I was on the Associated Content website and was led to a page that reviewed the 2 best work from home jobs. It sounded absolutely genuine, seeming that Associated Content had actually done the review. Absolutely slick, leading you from one page to the next, deeper into the trap. But I definitely never agreed to pay that larger amount.
I believe that the people who posted positive reviews here are phonies.

Keep in mind 90% of these "complaints" are from people who can't type coherent english. So its not a surprise a writing job didn't work out for them. I might try it out soon, even for just a month, to see what it's like.

Just a note to some of the previous complaints: if you're incompotent, everything is a challenge...

I was billed twice for 47 and never for the 2.95. I couldn't get a real person on the line so i just called the credit card company and let them dispute the charge for me. Maybe a class action law suit would be helpful?????? just having to give back my 90 or so wouldn't make a difference but if they had to refund all of the money that we are all out then maybe they would stop all together!

Stephanie   Michigan

You know that 98% of these complaints are false and damaging to a company that is true to it's word. Most everyone is complaining about how they were charged 47.00. Oh wow! I guess you forgot to cancel within the allotted that they allowed you huh? When you sign up it's very clear that there is a trial period of ONLY 7 days. After that it's up to the person signing up to be responsible enough to cancel the membership. What ends up happening though is people sign up and never take the next step because they want to make money without having to do anything and once they realize that this program isn't that type they don't do anything with it and forget about it until they get their statement. Then they call up screaming at the reps that they were charged this money for no reason and it wasn't the reps fault that you weren't responsible. I am so sick of people not taking responsibility for themselves. People grow up!

Attention All: Please, please, please stay away from anything that claims to pay you big money with very little effort. Just use your heads. Think about it...So what if you give up just $2.95 then another $47... Think about how much money these scammers are making off of the millions of people trying to pay their bills by falling prey to these types of scams. $2.95 x 1 million = they're rich, you're poor...& that's just on the $2.95. When you could have found these freelance jobs yourself...if they exist.

It is a total scam. I just called to cancel when I saw they charged my credit card for $47.00 and they have not sent me an e-mail confirming the cancellation Now my only hope is to contact my credit card company and file for arbitration. They have called my home twice and I believe they are selling my phone number to other companies. I am greatly distressed that this was not legitimate and has caused so much trouble.

This company charged me $47 and delivered nothing. The company and opportunity(?) is a definite USA scam and their offer is completly without merit and fraudulant. These people should be eliminated along with the rest of the garbage this country has accumulated.

THIS IS A SCAM!! THIS IS A SCAM!! THIS IS A SCAM!!

And a very good on might I add. I signed up not to make money, just outta sheer curiosity. And low and behold, curiosity killed the cat!!

I immediately called their support number, and kept calling and calling. Finally after about the 15th time, I actually go through and told them that I IMMEDIATELY wanted to cancel the membership. I got an email confirmation saying they "de-activated my membership as of." with no time and date. Something tell me I'm gonna get billed the 47$.

Call your credit card company and tell them not to accept bills from this company.

I recently joined this site and was pleased until I realized that I could join most of the jobsites for free. Also when you call to cancel your membership (1-800-750-7660 #3) it takes a few days of leaving messages and just calling back to back in order to speak to someone. When I finally reached a live person, with a lot of attitude, to cancel she mixed up the website with thier sis company "homesurveyworkers.com" (#2). I'm still nervous to see if there's any mystery charges to my card after today. Of course their shouldn't be because I canceled within 5 days just to be sure. All in all it's just a directory of sites that you can easily find yourself. I don't recomend paying for it.

My first hand knowledge or experience with Freelance Home Writers, I will certify it is one of the best scams I've encountered on the Net. They are good. I was bit with with the $2.95 scam. But I never had the seven days to get off the hook, they debited my account four (4) days after the $2.95 bite. for $47.00. They overlooked one thing. I am CEO of Save America's Children (SAC), were are the peoples advacate against scams and the like. We publish scams in our Voice Of Liberty-4 times a year. We expose what other are afraid to write. I contacted them as a retiree, attorney, college professor and a science researcher. I would not buy their books on writing as I am an established writer. I advise: stay away from FreeLance Home Writers, unless you have money you wist to give away. If so, donate to SAC. We teach youth to write.

Don't be sucked in! This is a scam. Look carefully at the reviews. Almost everyone who's given this 4 or 5 stars is barely capable of stringing two words together, let alone writing a clear cohesive sentence. Think about it!

Hi
I am a victim of the scammers at freelance homewriters.com. Please please please let this be a warning to anyone wishing to sign up for the so called reasonable price of $2.95. That was the first flaw - it turned out to be $97 that was deducted from my credit card. They even sent me an automated receipt for that amount, after they clearly stated that it would only be $2.95 to join.

Lo and behold, I tried contacting them, emailing them, and surprise surprise - no response. I haven't lost out because my credit card company are currently in the process of providing a refund on behalf of these scammers. They also don't tell you that once you sign in, you have to pay to join all the freelance sites that they give you the leads to. Home survey sites and indeed some review sites that comment on homewriters.com, are the same people, you casn tell by the layout of the site, the fonts they use etc. I don't know about this site, if this doesn't get published either then i'll know. It's a shame that these companies play around so much with people's trust, as this particular company is going to get a very big shock, as they are about to be contacted by some very big political people in the states!!! My final message to them would be - You decided to mess with the wrong person on this occasion, quite as welll I know just the folk in the U.S who will bring these scammers down and expose them for what they are - louwsy theives.

Not only do us suckers have to pay once to get a job we have to pay every time we get a part time job. We are not told this, in promotions thats fraud.
we are told it's easy, well right from the start, with the bidding for one lousy job, it's not easy.

Then having to compete with all the professionals that have been let go from Newspapers and Magazines all over North America...is not easy!
Corporate fraud is easy however.

They have excellent postings from people who are looking to hire.

However, that 2.95 fee is just for the 1st week (a trial period). After that, they charge you $47 a month, and they do not tell you this before you commit to the 2.95.

I am going to see what I can get out of it in a week and then cancel. I don't want to pay $47 a month. If I had that money, I wouldn't be looking for work.

Training programme? Can't even get access with my new sign in and no response from anyone about this. Not only that the terms and conditions displayed are dishonest. They say a 7 day trial for $2.95, 3 months free for VIP upgrades membership i.e. won't have to pay anything until February 2009, and then take extra ($150+ in AUD) without my permission. So I have now blocked them taking anymore funds. Run a mile.

These guys are thieves! When I agreed to pay the $2.95, they charged me $97.00 the very next day. And of course, the calls and emails were never answered.

I signed up to review their website for only $2.99. I feel sure there is work there, but I did not have the time to devote to constantly searching for the work as well as doing the work as well. I received multiple sales calls after that and told them No! I do not want the product. Guess what. I now have two months bills on my credit card that I never authorized and no one answers there phones.

So maybe they do have work, but they are still a bunch of crooks!

I can only assume after all my dealings with Freelance-Home_Writers that it is a SCAM! A good idea for sure and one that I gladly provided my credit card information for the requested $2.95 registration fee, but one that has proven not to be what was offerred.

First, I could never log on to their website with the ID and password provided. They just didn't work. I contacted them by email and telephone and never received a follow-up email. I left many voice mail messages and finally one was returned. They said they would look into it and get back to me.

I never heard from them again, but I did notice they charge my credit card $97.00, not the $2.95 I expected. I reported the problems to them one last time - I can't get onto their site and was charged $97.00, instead of $2.95. No word. No email. Continued promotions.

Do not go to freelancehomeworkers.com!

Still doing some research on this opportunity, but it seems to be pretty decent so far from what I've found. I've been writing for awhile, with continuing education in copywriting and a natural aptitude for creative writing. I have sold a couple articles doing freelance for another site that's free, but then I don't know when an article will sell there. If this is what they say, then a $2.95 trial shouldn't be too hard to swing. Especially if you can make the monthly cost within the first couple days, and then some. We'll see.

It sounds very promising. In the examples shown does $30-250 mean you have to write 250 articles to get paid a total of $30 or does the 250 mean something else and $30 means you get $30 per article? Thanks

I signed up for Freelancehomewriters.com on Friday, 7 November, early morning UK time. I was sent a login, but this does not work. Yes, I checked I was not using capital letters for the password, etc. but it still told me to check the Username & password as they were not valid.

I tried on at least 6 occasions to ring them (later in the day when they would be awake!), but the number (001 800 75076600) gives me an unobtainable sound. There seems to be no other contact number on the website, and they already have my card details, so I am concerned.

Does anyone have another number which is not a Toll Free number for them?

Thanks

Iv read the information about the jobs and think that it sound good, however, they do not show you the term and conditions first which i think is very important. companies like this are very quick to take money first. If you read all the information after you have already given your credit card details, they have already taken money from you. Can you cancel without having to pay any fee? are you in a contract with the membership?
They should tell you this befor you join as these questions are the ones that everyone needs to know.

I have adopted the "buyer beware" philosophy towards my association with this website and its claim. For I too have just recently become a member. The data offered is worthy of your initial ivestment even if you go no further. Just do your due diligence in research and follow through and you will be fine. If aterwards you are still harboring a good bit of reservations then hit the brakes, stop, get out of the car, find another mode of travel on another road, thank God for an early revelation, re-group and press on. I am so glad I checked this company out with the Better Business Bureau and I urge you to do the same! I gave actual information about this company below and a opinion rating from the BBB.

According to the BBB this company has recieved an F :
"Our opinion of what this rating means:
We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices."

Freelance Writers.com is a sister company operated under:
Unparalleled Marketing, LLC
20816 S Dixie Hway,
Suite # 135 Miami, FL 33189

I know this sucks because I really love to write and thought this would be a great opportunity but before you get sucked in please check them out on the BBB to find out more information.

I am not sure if its due to Freelance Writers.com but this is not a rating of a company overall that I would want to work for.

Please be careful and make sure you research every angle of this company before spending your own hard earned money.
